since receiving it until around November 2025, due to having one of the coldest winters on record and a newborn. Firstly, it is a lovely unit to look at with a fabric finish, slimline fit and was packaged well. We have used the unit two ways, where we initially had it wall mounted and then decided that it wasn’t as effective as we would like so we then placed it on wheels to move around the room. Both ways of using the heater were easy to assemble and all parts were included. The machine itself is a quiet unit, and you can’t hear it working at all, which is a change from the noisier split system we have in the room. The beauty of this heater is that it holds its temperature and the room temperature especially when you are experiencing minus 7 outside. I needed a heater that wouldn’t go into defrost mode, dropping the room temperature and then blowing cold air. The downside to this unit is that it doesn’t blow the warm air at you, rather it blows it towards the ceiling, so if you have it located under a window or wall mounted you lose most of the warm air. It’s also not a heater you would sit in front of if trying to get instantly warm. In saying that, once you set a temperature the machine will maintain that temperature and cut out once the temperature is reached and then automatically kick back in once it drops, making it the perfect heater for a child’s room. The machine itself doesn’t get extremely hot like the old oil heaters, making it that little bit safter for little people. The display panel remains lit up, so if you don’t like light when you are sleeping you needed to cover it, as the digital display shines through the Perspex cover. The control panel however isn’t lit up making it extremely difficult to see and use when the room is dark. The sequence of buttons that need to be pressed to operate the heater and modify setting is also complicated when you are tired or busy. The open window function is right next to the menu button and if you accidently press the open window function, the heater will often switch off overnight, which isn’t ideal when you have a newborn sleeping in the room that you are trying to maintain a consistent heat for. The use of WiFi to control the heater via your smart phone and the app was easy to connect and use. I love the ability to turn the heater on before we get home or double check that it’s been turned off if we have left for the day. Overall, this heater looks great, works really well, and is easy to control via the app. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a bedroom or small space that requires a quiet, efficient heater with smart features.

Underpowered and claims it heats 105m2 is bollocks. Probably a typo for 10.5m2.You have to sit on top of this thing to feel instant warmth. Good for a small room but that is it. Build quality is good. Show details

I regret buying this heater. It barely warms up even a small room, yet the exterior gets dangerously hot to the touch. The fan is loud and rattles constantly, making it impossible to sleep while it’s on.

Unfortunately i had a small issue with the unit, i contacted Thermofilm directly and spoke to customer service (Brendon). What a fantastic and outstanding service i received. my cold bathroom which is only small so I need to use only one switch, (mid heat) setting , I imagine it would need to use the 2 switches for a larger room. The feet were a pain to affix as the screws are so small and awkward to place but my 75 yr old fingers managed it in the end and it's so light that's it's easy to for me to move it around There was a slight musty smell when first turned on but soon disappeared, It's compact size is very convenient as it doesn't take up much space and it sits nicely next to the vanity when not in use, cover with a dishtowel to keep out dust, Very happy to recommend this, especially at this weeks price I attached a tiny piece of black electric tape to the thermostat dial to make it easier for me to use

bought the Delonghi to replace running the aircon all the time, that was using around 1500W when in heating. We thought that the Delonghi would initially use a lot of power to heat then come down after an hour or so and only use around 1000W. Not so the case it just runs flat out at 2400W all night keeping only the bedroom warm. My power meter is showing that this is costing around $2 extra in power every night as to the air con. Expensive lesson learned we only used it for a few nights and have gone back to aircon to keep the whole house warm for about 35% less in power usage.

tissue packaging that was wrapped around the heater was wedged beneath both attachment points of the hand strap. I tried to adjust the hand strap to remove the paper however it was jammed, and the moulded clip to which the strap was attached snapped. The company were polite, and did not offer replacement or repair, instead providing a partial refund of $20, which covered the cost of plugs I had to purchase to re-attach the strap to the unit. They also advised the product warranty was now voided but am still awaiting an explanation. I would suggest if the same issue happens to others that you contact customer service for a solution before attempting to remove the paper so warranty is not affected.

The heater operates to a set temperature, which is a good power saving feature, as long as it reads the room temperature correctly and not just the air around the unit. I found it got a better read if it was oscillating rather than in a set position. It has a good length cord, just to be careful when oscillating as it also shifts from side to side. I didn't use the heater until I had a working handle, so have used it only once so far in a 5x4m room that wasn't super cold to begin with, but made the room comfortable after running for about a half hour.

purchased one - We use it overnight to take the chill out of the air and this heater does the job perfectly. What's good about it is, you can set the temperature from 500w - 1000w over 3 settings with simple switches - the heater also has a mechanical style 24 hour time which is easy to use to set the start and finish times. I was impressed with the build quality, with fold out caster wheels, two way switches for heat control, thermostat, cable winder on the front and relatively small profile - nice and compact. We have used this in the bedroom for much of this winter and it has been excellent to keep the room warm - just turn it on about half an hour before going to bed and room is cosy.

PROS: - 1000w adequate for small rooms (not too much drain on power) - Build quality is very good - Reasonable price unit for quality and features - 24 hr timer - switching for power output (don't have to run at full output power) - Thermostat - switches power off when set temperature reached

I have two of these heaters, they are quiet and very effective. The remote app is very handy, and easy to use, especially when setting a timer.

appear that the product has been poorly assembled at the factory. Calls to the online supplier have met with no response. I would visit a service centre except there is no address online. I cannot find anyone willing to rectify this problem. What am I supposed to do ,throw it out? Very poor service. Subsequent to this review a response was received from Dimplex ignoring most of the content of my review and telling me to contact the retailer. READ MY REVIEW DIMPLEX. I HAVE ALREADY DONE THAT . contacted Heatstrips customer service where Brandon Le handled my issue. He suggested the THX2400DCR which he promptly shipped to us. We installed it and its great! Brandon was so helpful, he stayed in contact the whole time and kept us up to date on where the unit was and was always available should we have any questions. Although the THS2400R didn't fit our needs, Heatstrip made sure we got a suitable replacement fast. Highly recommend them!
