rotation speed thereafter. (bent shaft maybe!) My review is after the first day of operation only. Assembly of the mower was very easy though needed a third hand to help attach the top of the catcher to its body. Comparing to the Victa, the Ozito was noticeable noisier (however I always wear ear muffs so not an issue for me) a little heavier to move around. One big diff was that I could switch on the Victa with one hand (holding down the start button with my little finger while grasping the lever) whereas the Ozito start button & lever are too far apart to use this technique and required two hands. This makes the Ozito is a bit safer however it was an inconvenience for me after 16 years with my one hand starting technique with the Victa. My biggest issue with the mower was with vents on the side of the catcher. They are quite open and clippings, including weed seed, can fly out the side of the catcher. These vents really need to be covered of a fly-screen type of material to stop these clippings from flying out the side while allowing the catcher to breathe - as it must. (As a DIY sort of person, I'll experiment with installing a screen over the inside of these vents myself). The mower works really well, feels powerful and doesn't die down nearly as much as the Victa did when I hit the more dense patches of grass we have in our yard. The suction from the blades into the catcher was noticeable stronger than the Victa (but let down by that side vent issue I mentioned). The catcher itself was very easy to detach and reattach after emptying. One last thing - I ran an AI on the cost of owning this corded electric vs a 36V battery model over 10 years and the corded mower was about 1/3 the cost of the battery version. In fact the cost to buy the Ozito was about the same as buying a replacement battery for the other option! So the corded electric mower is far more cost efficient if you can tolerate the inconvenience of keeping tabs on the power cord position which, after 16 years with the Victa, was not an issue for me. No regrets after day 1 and recommended. (p.s. Do I think it will last 10 years? It's a simple machine, an electric motor, & feels similar quality to the old Victa (plastic all over). Why shouldn't it?)

Instructions say to press wheels onto axles and put hub caps on. Done that and wheels fall off. No way in instructions to lock them in.

there. The mower is light weight and easy to move and as a result the mower demands that I use it with care. Cut a couple of small areas of very long kikuyu grass. To adjust the height of cut is tricky as there is no lever to set the height but is adequate once set. With care it cut the long grass and the catcher filled quickly and is easy to remove and replace. The safety switch is typically annoying and awkward to use but works adequately. The mower is suitable for small areas of grass and if used with consideration to its build quality seems to be reasonable value for money and capable of keeping the grass cut.

Grass clippings go in the rear vent, no way to get them out, so I returned the mower today because I could foresee all manner of grief down the road… Read more

due to this design fault. Sadly, like other users here, I had a previous Flymo for over a decade and was very happy with it. I do not recommend this product.
