I purchased my Propert 2 Kg Glass Top Digital Kitchen Scale from Big W over ten years ago. It has had a lot of use in the kitchen over that time and… Read more

shows no signs of failing in the near future. I like how the glass top is screwed on and can be unscrewed for easy cleaning. The rest of the unit can be easily cleaned with wet ones. It’s also easy to use and turns off itself.

I’m very happy with this product and I feel I have got my monies worth.

Don't waste your money – Second kitchen scales in 4 months. First Propert scales (different model) returned not working. Current slimline scale was touchy to use. Began displaying 'Lo' - replaced batteries and stopped working altogether.

Why did I wait so long! – I have been battling on with the old style scale forever. Then I noticed the contestants on Masterchef seemingly adding ingredients to a bowl willy… Read more

nilly. I then realised they were using digital scales.

I was fortunate enough to have enough Flybuys points to be able to redeem this scale.

The scale is small 19 cm x 17 cm (approximately), light and easy to use. It can give weights in imperial or metric. I bake bread each week and it is so easy now to add the ingredients and zero then keep adding and zeroing.

I used to avoid recipes which did not give cup and spoon measurements or just convert them myself as weighing out small amounts of grams was so hard on the old type of scale. Not any more! My husband also uses the scale to weigh out dry pasta when he is cooking it and this is much more effective than just judging by 'eye'.

One of the best new things in the kitchen! Small. light, readout easy to read without putting glasses on. Nothing so far.

After more than 15 years of service, my old Breville Ikon BSK500 scales started playing up with digital readings jumping around. I have many OXO… Read more

products that I have been happy with, so when I saw the OXO 5 pound Kitchen scales advertised on the internet I checked a lot of reviews on YouTube & felt confident that it would fit my needs. I chose the basic plastic model rather than the more expensive stainless steel model. The scale measures in 1 gram increments, which is good enough for most kitchen needs. I regularly use it for measuring my espresso coffee ground doses & it gives very consistent, stable readings around 20g. The digital readout is very easy to see & the screen can be easily pulled out of the scales to allow you to use larger containers & still see the readout. The readout is held in place with magnets. The scales are easy to clean with a damp cloth & the flat design, without any grooves etc. to collect spilt flour or liquids etc., help in this respect. A useful feature, which many other scales share, is the 'Tare' function. For example, if you have a bowl on the scale, you simply press the Tare button & the scale will read zero. It is then easy to add any ingredients, without having to allow for the weight of the bowl. Once you have added the ingredient you can the press Tare again & add the next ingredient & so on. I would recommend the OXO Good Grips 5 Pound Food Scales.

Perfect for my kitchen – I love this portable scale that I purchased a few years ago now. It's always accurate and I can easily wash it under the tap when it gets egg/flour… Read more

etc on it. It doesn't take too much room in my kitchen drawer too which is great! Love it, love it! Easy to clean and store

Good cheap set of kitchen scales – I purchased this set of scales a couple of years ago in a bit of an emergency situation with a plan to get a better set at a later date but never did… Read more

because these proved to be up to the job! - Inexpensive (cheapest one in the shop at the time of purchase!) - It seems to be pretty accurate - The glass plate unscrews so it can be washed. - Compared to my previous scale this one is pretty low profile - The battery life is good. - It doesn't seem to completely die if you wipe the base over with a damp sponge (which is what killed my previous scales).

ike to cook. Probably the best value in anything I've bought. It has no brand or model number so you'll have to trust my pics. These scales are also tough. I don't know why anyone buys expensive scales. Worth 5 stars all day.

Good set of scales – I have owned this set of scales for at least 4 years, and overall I am satisfied with the product. It can take up to 2kg of weight. It has a large… Read more

display screen and is easy to clean. It has a tare weight button, which allows you to place an item on the scales and reset to 0.

This product does what it is supposed to do, it weighs food for me in the kitchen. It is small, lightwight and easy to store. For the most part, it has been reliable. There was a time shortly after I got it that it stopped working and would only show an error message. I contacted Tanita, they had me send the item to them, and returned it fixed within a couple of weeks with no cost to me. They were great to deal with and I have not had any problems with the scales since. This impressed me, as normally when an item like this breaks, it is tossed and you're expected to buy a new one.

Obviously, the fact that they did have a problem with them that needed to be fixed is the only issue I have. However, that was sorted out to my satisfaction.

Impossible to use – Impossible to turn on and off in many occasions. Same as changing units of measurement. I will throw this piece of scrap today. Don’t buy this scale. Waste of time and money! Show details

the weight measured is off by 20- 25%. (tested with various coins). If I could recalibrate, I'd be very happy with it. But - now I need to buy another one.

Just Frustrating – Trying to change units on this scales is totally frustrating.. Don't bother with it unless you enjoy this wasting your time. it is totally random and will change to whatever it feels like each time it turns on. Show details

Ghastly – Don’t even think of buying them .. complete lemon. They are very slow to turn on, yet turn themselves off about 2 seconds later, while you are still adjusting the quantity you are weighing. Show details

Measuring Scales – Not too happy about product size it’s very small, the unit not looking like Stainless Steel-will fit in the pocket. Feel I have not got value for money spent $27 delivered at home.

I like to add it still works good for measuring smaller weights accurately.

Nutritional values are out of date – I bought this scale to use for the purpose of carbohydrate counting for my daughter with Type 1 diabetes. Unfortunately you need to purchase the item… Read more

to access the code booklet and then plug in the codes to the scales to get the nutritional amounts. The carb amounts are not accurate for any of the food items that I cross referenced. After reading the Manual I discovered that the nutritional information is based on the German Federal Food Index Version 11.3 dated MAY 1999.

The out of date information had made this a waste of money and time and I’m really disappointed.
