Faulty out of the box – After one use it stopped working giving a flashing display of "LO" The only way to get it to go again is pull the fuse. Dissapointing as it looks the goods. Now have to go thru warranty. Show details

Terrible product – After a long process to remove the old cooktop and then install the new one , when powered up the brand new unit did not work on the left side, the right side seemed to be fine. Show details

Energy efficient, easy to use – Easy to use, no hot surfaces. Heats the saucepans not the surrounds. Uses small about of energy & extremely fast to respond. Much better then gas cooking & much cleaner. Easy to clean.  Show details

Brilliant stove top – have had this for 4.5 years amazing cooktop will buy again if ever do up another kitchen great value for money with good warranty highly reccomend to anyone who wants induction without huge pricetag

Bloody Confusing – This oven is cheap but thats about all. Very confusing to use. Turn one element off and then u cant get others to come on unless cold. The + diagram of the element on the top itself is hard to see, why not just have a circle like most ovens. Not worth the headache it causes. Show details

Poorly designed junk – While the unit itself looks great and works well for very short periods the electronics it's made from are poor quality and under designed for a real cook top. It's Noisy because the fans have to work hard to keep the underrated electronics from overheating. Sadly the Electronics still overheat & fail when the cook top is used in a normal hot… Read more

kitchen. Shorted Power Transistors and Blown Rectifiers are common place in this cook top. This one should be urgently recalled!!! Not suitable for an Australian Kitchen.

Great investment – I bought this induction stovetop almost 2 years ago and it's still working fine. simmering), whilst a setting from 5 upwards will mean the heating element is on constantly. The cabinet space directly under the stovetop does get warm and noisy (from fans) when you're cooking. It does require a significant amount of electricity to operate so my dad did warn me that I shouldn't use more than two elements at once, nor should I be using the stovetop as well as operating multiple cooking devices in the kitchen.

The only downside is that the touch buttons can be rather fiddly, especially when you want to adjust the settings for a particular element (whilst cooking on two elements) but end up turning the everything off.

Will not last – Bought this cooktop from Aldi. It sat in it’s carton waiting for our new kitchen to be constructed. It was installed into our new kitchen but only lasted 3 months or so after that before it stopped working. Went through the warranty scenario. have to replace the unit and pay the cost of installation again. The warranty does not seem to cover replacement, therefore saving Aldi the cost of reinstallation. Anyway the old saying “You get what you pay for” rings true again. My advice is to steer clear of these products.

Lesson in Frustration STR-B60ICSG – After a short period of use an element failed. It was given a case number by Tempo who supplied a local repairer. This case number was deleted without notice. Worked great, then it didn't – I loved it, never had an induction before. Looked beautiful, heated up really quickly. Then it blew the house fuse after about 3 month's use. out. He then ordered replacement electrical board parts. They were sent directly to him, we then had to chase up to get him to come out and install them. They then blew immediatelso he had to order more parts, which is when igot the phone call.

I also installed Aldi oven, waiting for repair, and dishwasher, fingers crossed.

I bought 3 of these for units and one failed – Agree with all comments above. The unit failed within first month of use. All electricals failed in the unit so we had to get electrician out - who identified cooktop. Contacted Aldi who referred to Tempo. I asked for replacement and was told none in stock. to order parts. Tenant waited more than 6 weeks for them to complete the fix. Then the unit failed again within the week. Posted my complaint on Aldi Facebook page and to their credit they have been good at following up. However it still has cost me my time, the rental agent's time and I now have to buy and install another cooktop. It is the risk you take when buying cheaper electricals. Will not be buying ALDI electrical products which need installation - ever again.

The other 2 are working (hence the 2nd star) with no issues but will not bother with warranty if any issues arise.

Piece of Rubbish – Do not buy this induction cooktop, stopped working after 4 months, repairs are a nightmare with no parts available and no replacement option. It is going to be 2 months or more before we have it working again. The electrician doing repairs informed us that this has been a very common fault with this cooktop and there have been many repairs. I will not buy electrical from Aldi again.  Show details

Lasted 3 months – In home warranty is a joke. Bought this product in April but didn't install till July & its fried already. Haven't dealt with faulty products from Aldi before & they referred to the manufacturer who won't take a return only repair. They also advised that a replacement may be a refurbished item, not new.  Show details

What a crap – Installed this product in Rental Property with oven. Lasted 2 months then "CHILD LOCK" would not let the appliance to be used. Tennant advised and rang for Warranty support. Maybe a Beko in disguise – The controls are too slow to use for a busy cook. Very fiddly I found. The cycling in heating with thermostat control good on 1 to 4, but 5 to 9 no control... this is common with many cooktops. Not as fast as some other induction cooktops to heat 1L of water... took 4 minutes to boil from cold in a thick bottomed scanpan pot. The build quality is first class.
