then recieved a invoice stating repairs had been completed. The hold was removed from my card. Apple then deducted $999 from my bank account and claimed they never recieved the original phone. I have been trying to dispute this with Apple and with my bank and withvassistance of the kind lady at the post office that remembered me posting the phone. Apple talk to me, then put me on hold, then conduct multiple transfers and then after extensive amounts of time on the phone they "book and appointment to call me back" at a predetermined time, AND NEVER CALL BACK. this has been going on for months. The real kicker- the replacement phone has the same glitch. In fact it won't even record voice messages with sound.
