Having been in the Apple ecosystem for well over 15yrs I purchased my first wrist watch on my wife’s insistence. Although I’m gradually falling out of love with Apple products as they seem to be losing the plot I stupidly purchased an Ultra 2. When I opened it at home I found the watch band was at last hole when on, so another trip to the Apple… Read more
Store for a longer strap. As there weren’t any in stock the apple consultant ordered the only longer band available for delivery to my home. It arrived today and the only conclusion I can draw is that the Apple developers have no common sense. You go from a band that doesn’t fit people with larger wrists to one that could virtually fit around a calf muscle. I think I will be moving away from Apple products in the future.
I had a great experience recently when buying an Apple Watch, the watch arrived promptly and in the condition it was graded at. When I enquired about a different band, they promptly sent me a second band free of charge! Great service and communication. Highly recommend this Australian business and will use them again. Awful – Apple Maps on the Ultra is dangerous, it switches to the watch face, and the only way to get maps back is to use the side button navigate to maps and re-open, while driving! The blue tooth will link with google car play, but not Apple Car Play - which means you can't listen to any audio. Its basically a very expensive watch - which doesn't even show the second hand for more than a few seconds. Show details
A great product from Apple – Ultra2 is great for its ability to make calls, read messages/ quick small replies, and seamlessly integrate with native apps. It is particularly beneficial for individuals interested in fitness and NFC payment features. The precision finding capability is impressive; however, not sure if the cost justifies these features. Third party app connectivity is also not that seamless and some times annoying. Show details
Pretty handy, but bloody expensive – I recently decided to get an Apple Watch, I have never had one before so I have no idea what to expect from it really. The main reason I bought it was for the size of the screen and the Health app features. 1. Design and Display: The Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a fantastic 49mm always-on Retina display offering crystal-clear visuals and making… Read more
navigation a breeze. Rated at 3,000 nits the display is definitely one of the more crystal clear and bright displays on a watch I have seen. There is a nice range of watch faces also which display a lot of info or direct shortcuts to specific apps.
2. Performance: Powered by the SiP S9 processor, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is fast. Everything seems so fluid. I dont have any issues with any of the apps, transitions etc.
3. Fitness and Health Tracking: The suite of health features on the Ultra 2 is excellent and the main reason I went with it. The Blood Oxygen app, ECG app, and the upgraded heart rate monitor provide comprehensive insights into my health. One of the main features I got it for was for the Sleep app tracking. This seems to work pretty well and has confirmed I clearly need to see someone about my sleep patterns because even though I was getting what I thought was 8 hours sleep of that I was actually only technically asleep for around 5-6 and explains why I am always so tired.
4. Battery Life and Charging: This was probably the biggest surprise for me, I dont know if its because I am not utilising it properly or perhaps I misread the specs but I only charge it once every 3 days sometimes 4. The quick charger is excellent, takes around an hour to fully charge.
5. Connectivity and Integration: The seamless integration with other Apple devices is a true highlight. The Ultra 2 connects seamlessly with my iPhone, allowing me to take calls, reply to messages etc.
6. The Strap I got the Ocean Band in blue. It looks nice, its functions well, but I do find it slightly annoying to wear. I dont know if its just because I havent worn a watch in about 10 years or not, guess I will find the more I wear it.
All of this is pretty great, but you have to wonder about the price being worth it.
So far so good, but nothing to write home about. (Ocean band causes a Rash) – I've owned my Apple Watch Ultra 2 with White Oceean Band for a couple of months now. This is my first Apple Watch so I am probably not making the most of the watch. The things I like include: - ApplePay - Fitness Tracking - Swimming Tracking and Depth The things I don't like: - Ocean Band creates a rash - Battery is ok, but would be great to… Read more
last a week as opposed to 30 hours - Would be nice to listen to music and take calls without AirPods - Would be nice to support more app functions for Whatsapp / FB Messenger / MS Teams - The start workout and pausing workout is clumsy - Would be great to use the action button for multiple purposes depending on apps in use. E.g when swimming use the action button to pause the workout between lengths - Price of Ultra Watch 2 is very expensive
