AstralPool CTX Series

Just out of warranty – Pool built by Blue Haven. Finished in Sept 2020. Astral CTX280 now very noisy. Very poor quality when it only lasts until the end of warranty. Was quoted $750.00 for a new one.
Purchased in at Blue Haven NSW.
It's ok – Replaced an old Astral Pool Pump that was about 8 years old. Connected it up which was easy but the noise that comes from this pump is worse than the old Astral pump it replaced.
Impeller jams easily. Not covered by warranty and costs $121 to clear each time – I bought an Astral CTX400 pool pump. It’s just over a year old and has stopped working. The pool shop advised it was a faulty capacitor, but I got hold of Astral who said they could look at it in 2weeks. Unacceptable during summer school holidays as the pool was going green. I managed to get them to visit the pool that day which was a win but lucky really. They said the impeller was blocked and would charge $121 to clear it. It’s pretty poor that the 2 filters that the water passes through are not of the correct sizing to prevent this happening. Sure enough it worked but there is nothing in the manual to suggest I had done anything wrong or could repair it myself. I suggest Astral unblock the impeller under warranty or redesign the impeller or filters. Rather disappointed.

Hi Scott, It's weird that your pump is louder than the previous. Could you please email productsupport.au@fluidra.com and we'll see how we can help?
Thanks!
