Bare Cremation is highly regarded for providing a compassionate, transparent, and affordable alternative to traditional funeral directors. Feedback indicates that the service is particularly effective for those seeking a simple, "no-fuss" process, supported by a user-friendly digital dashboard and empathetic staff. While the vast majority of experiences are positive, a small number of reviews highlight serious concerns regarding third-party contractors and administrative errors during the return of remains.

Bare Cremation is an excellent choice for families seeking a streamlined, respectful, and cost-effective cremation service with strong digital support. While the service is overwhelmingly praised for its compassion, potential users should ensure they communicate firm timelines for the return of ashes and clarify the handling of personal effects if third-party mortuaries are involved.
The team at Bare were wonderfully compassionate .They guided us through every step and kept us updated on the progress of each and every step. They did this with a kind caring tone.I highly recommend the team at Bare to look after your loved one with dignity and respect.
Just as we expected. The pick up from home was prompt and respectful even with grieving relatives. Help afterward was good though the questionaire was a bit daunting and I did make a few mistakes. Ashes were delivered and I think personal delivery is a must. Ian
I would like to sincerely thank Bare for the outstanding support we received after my father passed away. Their service was excellent, and they were genuine, compassionate, and professional in the way they helped us through this difficult time.

Excellent care and attention. Very impressed with all aspects of the funeral arrangements and venue.
I cannot thank Bare Funerals enough for the care and support they gave me during such a difficult time. On the day of the service Craig was incredible. He was so caring compassionate and professional and made everything run seamlessly. The service didn’t miss a beat and everything was handled perfectly.
For a budget company you honestly could not tell at all. The service was 100 percent perfect and I am so grateful for how smoothly and beautifully everything was handled.
I highly recommend Bare Funerals to anyone going through such a difficult time
I can’t honestly say how grateful myself and my family are. The amount of kindness, support and compassion from everyone involved in helping make our beautiful sister Nickis funeral. Brodey and the others who were there on the day. His kindness and compassion really stood out and thank you for being there checking in on us. Your company is absolutely outstanding and I will be continuing to use this company in the future when unfortunately needed. Thank you again to all of you for everything x
I am a minister in the Anglican Church but my Dad didn't want a funeral. He wanted a simple cremation and Bare provided exactly what he wanted. They provided exactly what they promised and there was excellent support on offer. Straight forward, simple and easy. Highly recommended.
Our coordinator Becc was extremely helpful and made the process so easy following our mother’s passing. The dashboard was simple to use and covered everything and everyone we needed to contact at a push of the button
Bare Funerals stood out firstly because someone had mentioned I would save money. What I didn’t expect was just how much different they would be. Yes saved money but they empowered me to make decisions in my own time and within reason. We looked at short cuts to save money where possible but still wanted the very best for my mums last hurrah. … Read more
Our dedicated consultant Chelsey was so lovely and checked in regularly. I was not inundated with calls and decisions and everything went according to plan. Thank you Bare for being there at the worst time, to ease the burden without compromising the quality funeral mum deserved.
We lost our dad in July, he had very clear and concise instructions. Bare Funerals hit every instruction my dad had for his afterlife care. The cremations box was understatedly beautiful. Thank you bare for providing my dad with the most outstanding care. Would recommend to everyone and anyone. Such a hassle free experience at the worst of times.
From my initial phone conversation with Natalie, updates from Kay and finally ashes delivery to my home, I was very impressed by the compationate and professional way BARE conducted their service for my mother. I could see the progress of each stage on my dashboard link, which also included what steps needed to be done and what paperwork to deal… Read more

Thank you for the care and compassion you showed during this sad and stressful time.
Bare were exactly what I needed at a very difficult time. From my first phone call, to the hand delivery of Mum’s ashes, they empathetically attended to all the legal and bureaucratic aspects which come and released us from that burden. I felt that they genuinely cared about my mum and my family. So grateful for all their support.

AVOID - NOT here for you around the clock !!!!! Our loved one passed away in the afternoon. Received a call around 9pm saying one person would be there before midnight & was there someone in the home to assist with placing our loved ones body in van. As if that wasn't insulting enough, rang again before midnight to state noone was now coming as… Read more
van gad broken down & could they collect at 6:30am. We refused any further contact & had to restart our search for a reputable service for a respectful, caring Australian & locally family owned business whose costs were exactly the same. When we shared our story, Palliative staff unfortunately reported there were other families who had very similar unacceptable experiences including other bodies in van & being rough with the deceased in front of the grieving family. The dead & their loved ones deserve respect, honour & care. When I requested a call from the owners, I was only contacted by the State Manager who still wanted to offer their service on a Monday afternoon, our loved one had passed on Saturday afternoon. Not sure where they thought we had stored our loved ones body ..... Absolutely Shameful !!!!
Full marks to BARE for their professionalism for my brother’s funeral. I found it convenient and accessible to use the online service which included phone and email contact as well as being able to look at the progress of the planning on the online dashboard. On the day of the funeral all staff were dressed appropriately and were well versed in… Read more
what was appropriate for a Catholic Church service and burial.
A number of family and friends commented on how discreet and respectful the staff were.
We were given the choice from 6 coffins and were impressed with the style and quality of the one chosen. We were given the cross off the coffin at the end of the day.
We were personally cared for by a consultant through the whole process and on the day of the funeral were made to feel comfortable and relaxed on the day of the funeral as staff were on top of anything previously discussed or planned.
The whole day meant for a very comfortable and memorable experience due to the hard work and co-ordination of the BARE team.
Overall we were very happy with Bare Funerals and the ease to organise everything over the website, via email and phone. The highlights for us were the consistent contact from staff, the kindness and empathy displayed by staff, the speed to get paperwork through like the medical certificate and death certificate and the ease of them handling my… Read more
brother’s body and organising the cremation.
There are a couple of points I would make.
If you need the ashes in a specific time, make sure you let them know that. I think they say that ashes are returned in 2-3 weeks so we thought having a memorial 4 weeks later was appropriate. But by about the 2.5 week mark I started following this up and we only received his ashes about 4 or 5 days before the memorial. So it felt a bit stressful getting the ashes back but I’m sure if you make them aware of time frames, it shouldn’t be a problem.
The other thing is the website. I really love the idea of the photos and memories page and the guestbook. The only point I would make is that the photo upload can be a bit glitchy when you are uploading multiple photos on a post. Regardless of how I uploaded them, I found it would re-sort the photos into a different order which could be problematic at times when you want them displayed in a specific order, so I think this is an area they could rectify quite easily with some tweaking.
For the cost we paid, we couldn’t be happier, and the whole process overall was great. I’d certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a simple and easy process without a huge expense.

Cannot fault Bare Funerals. From the first interaction the team from Bare were fabulous. They demonstrated compassion yet efficiency through all stages. The services they provided us was much more than we anticipated and made every aspect effortless. Thank you to Tarrah and all of those that we interacted with along the process

My mother recently passed away at age 90 years. Most of her contemporaries were already gone, her remaining siblings were overseas, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren widely dispersed. This made a traditional funeral logistically very difficult. She and we, elected for a Bare funeral and cremation. The process proved to be thorough,… Read more

I used Bare for the fist time in June after my wife passed away. I found from the first contact Bare staff were caring compassionate and totally approachable. Bare Cremation were very good, my 1 star rating refers to the Bare Law Probate Service. For the Cremation: There was a long delay of 5 hours collecting the remains because apparently they came from Orange (why they don’t use a local provider is beyond me), but the cremation and delivery of ashes was efficient, with good communication. Bare Law on… Read more
the other hand; I simply do not have adequate words to describe how appalling our experience has been. Dad’s 12 month anniversary was yesterday AND WE STILL DO NOT HAVE PROBATE! The first lawyer was incompetent at best, if not negligent. Zero communication, major mistakes, errors in documents, lost documents, fouled up the application for probate. Taken over by supposedly the Principal. They must have simply copy/paste from the first lawyer’s applications as many errors were carried over. Bare Law kept saying the fault lay with the court in our jurisdiction being slow and picky. In fact when we finally obtained copies of all the documents submitted to the court and the court responses it was clear the issue was with Bare Legal. Issues with poor communication remain, and we are now making a THIRD application for Probate. This means having extensive affidavits (which seem to increase with every application) notarised for the third time, and we had to get replacement copies of documents Bare have lost (such as the original named executor’s death certificate). In the mean time the estate has lost tens of thousands in interest (for example we cannot have the RAD refunded- the care facility must be laughing all the way to the bank with the interest on $700k), and in fines for things we cannot action because we don’t have probate. Traumatised doesn’t even begin to describe how we feel.
I wish I could give them the 5 stars that I expected however unfortunately there were a few hiccups. First of all they must be too inundated with too many funerals. They keep getting my loved ones name wrong, spelling mistakes made on the invitations that needed correcting on top on my grief and then worst of all I picked up the ashes in what was… Read more
supposed to be a beautiful urn and it was in a grey milk bottle. Yes my mother’s ashes given in a milk carton. As my sister who organised most of the funeral arrangements was livid. They did come and put it in the urn that we purchased and did it before the service. The plus side was the service went smoothly. A great little service and that was the best part. They did finally apologise after it was addressed and corrected the matter to a comprising conclusion. I wouldn’t rule them out completely however they need to not take on so many clients or retrain their staff.
Do not use Bare Funerals in Adelaide! They used a local funeral business for pickup and storage of my relative's body before cremation. This was Country Road Funerals (Main North Rd, Pooraka). While at Country Road Funerals, her wedding and engagement rings went missing (presumed stolen), and these were never returned to our family. This incident… Read more
was reported to the SA Police. Bare Funerals refunded their fee but did not follow up adequately with Country Road Funerals or our family. They brushed us off with a full refund, but no explanation for what happened, and a reluctance to involve the police and hold Country Road Funerals accountable!

I Highly recommend BARE - they made the funeral process painless no fuss and their support was outstanding. They keep you informed in the process and followup on your well being. Free legal advice was a nice bounus for those who need it. The online portal is easy to navigate and provides you with step by step instructions and a to do list which I found to be invaluable. Well done BARE.
the Bare team that looked after me were both kind and supportive. They held my hand at the worst time of my life and guided me through a very sad and difficult process. They showed sympathy, respect and honored my beautiful partner and our wishes, reaching out with continual support throughout and well after my ordeal. Thank you to all especially Kayla, you were my rock and my safe place when I needed one.
The Bare staff provided exactly what I wanted - a simple, reasonably priced funeral and cremation service. They kept me informed of events and timetables, monitored my welbeing and managed the legalities and documentation efficiently.
