use a separate set of earbuds specifically for calls, which is very disappointing. Given the advertised call quality and noise-cancellation capabilities, I expected to be able to take work meetings outdoors without any issues, but unfortunately, that has not been my experience.
I am giving this product 2 stars because it did not meet the primary purpose for which I purchased it. While it excels for entertainment, its poor call performance is a major drawback for anyone who relies on earbuds for communication and remote meetings.
Bose faulty headphone – The saga continues - I take the headphones to JB Hifi to seek help. I must admit he did appear to do his best (maybe that is just their policy in customer comfort). Better than QC45, but not perfect like the old QC35 II – I've been a long time fan of Bose's noise cancelling headphones. happily using for over a year now.
The good stuff:
- The ANC (active noise cancellation) on the NC700 is the best of any of the Bose headphones I've had and marginally better than the QC45. BUT most importantly, the NC700 don't produce the faint hiss/static noise that the QC45 do. This will only be a problem for some people, as everyone's ears are different, but it's quite a widespread issue (as can be evidenced by Googling it). - Sound quality on the NC700's is clean and balanced, which provides a good listening experience across various genres of music and voice content. The EQ is close to perfect (and is much closer to my beloved QC35 II than the QC45), but can also be further adjusted in the Bose app to suit different tastes. - The microphone quality is significantly better for voice calls than the QC45, which seemed to always pick up moderate background noise over my voice. The NC700 don't seem to have this problem.
The okay stuff:
- Battery life is slightly less than what you get with the QC45. Bose advertise 20 hours for the NC700, but I find I usually get around 16 - 17 hours on average.
The not so good stuff:
- They're slightly less comfortable than most of the headphones in the QC range (which stands for 'Quiet Comfort' after all). The NC700 are slightly heavier than the QC45, have less padding around the cup and have more clamping force. With my old QC35 II, I could wear them all day and forget I even had them on. With the NC700, I start to feel a bit uncomfortable after wearing them for more than 3 consecutive hours.
Overall, I'm quite happy with the NC700 as my latest Bose Noise Cancelling headphones. They solve a lot of the issues I had with the QC45, but they're not as good as my beloved QC35 II, which I still consider the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever had.

LA the right ear stopped producing any sound. Tried everything on the Bose website to reset. Nothing worked. Seems there are others with same problem. Very disappointed as i have only taken three trips with them. Could not believe Bose when i contacted them to get it repaired only give the option to buy a new pair at a discounted price and do not offer a simple repair. When the foam pads split I was disappointed, but the connection issues got worse and worse – I bought these a few years ago, but only wear them occasionally when I really want to hear the music. Occasionally there's a horrible static sound.
I have other Bluetooth headphones, never any glitches. Also I have connected the Bose headphones to another phone with the same issues occurring. So pretty certain the problem is with the headphones.

Good for listening to music and just anc headphones – They are good headphones for listening to music with anc, but when it comes to talking in meetings or phone calls, they can have a mind of their own, works sometimes, but do have a lot of intermittent issues when they play up (when that happens, you and other party will not hear each other). When I put these on in the store to try them out, I literally mouthed "Wow" while listening to soft music (a Chopin Nocturne). Meaning, even in a busy store, just a bit of soft music and full noise cancelling is enough to block out the noise well.
Audio: top notch, although not as good as some of Sony's.
Bluetooth: connects easily to my phone, but has trouble with my laptop at times, particularly when there are people with other Bluetooth devices in the area.
Battery: tested a whole 18 hours on full charge with maximum noise cancelling.
Cons: headphone jack is not standard. Bluetooth is susceptible to interference. Silver colouring fades to yellow slightly.

never buy them again or recommend them to anyone. For the price point, the bluetooth should work seamlessly. I am regularly having to turn devices on and off again which is not ideal when you're working from home. If that doesn't work then the headphones need to be re-set and reconnected (and trust me they NEVER appear or the first go, so each time is about a 10 minute ordeal). The bluetooth function is actually terrible, the worst I've had for any headphones. I have a pair of $15 bluetooth in-ears that I use more often now because they're more likely to connect. Also after six months the battery life went dramatically downhill, and sometimes will not charge at all - so that's fun.

The iPhone app had some issues with sound cutting out initially. But that seems to have resolve itself with software updates.
Now for the controls... Bose claim "Capacitive touch controls make Headphones 700 easy to use" however this is far from true if you consider ease of use to mean they actually respond when you try and use them. The swipe gestures required to operate them only work half of the time at best. If this product was a car, it could only be driven at very low speeds without running off the road as you tried desperately to find the steering wheel before the approaching corner, the end result being motion sickness at best or maybe running off the road into a ditch. Keep in mind that the controls are on the side of your head and you have to listen to all this terrible fumbling commotion in real time.
Personally, I just avoid the Non-Capacitive touch controls and use the buttons on my keyboard that actually work. I'm also old enough and have medication that prevents me from worrying about these kind of things. But if you expect this product to work as it claims, then I recommend looking at other options or waiting for buttons to come back into fashion. If you don't care about the controls and are looking purely for the sound quality or the stylish look, I recommend these.

first I was annoyed that the headphones would auto-off and I would miss incoming phone calls - by the time I turned it back on and they auto-connected to my laptop and phone, the call would have gone to voicemail. However you can change the auto off timing and motion sensor features with the phone app.
Unfortunately the touch controls stopped working one day with no physical cause. The headphone buttons worked but there was no touch input. I did all the Bose troubleshooting: off/on, update headphones, uninstall/reinstall devices. Even though my product was so new the Bose product support 'trouble shooter' did not recognise the fault (no selection for touch input not working) and so I kept landing (presumably because the 90 day trial period had ended) on their solution for me to PURCHASE a new set at a 'discounted' price... no thanks! To be honest this was the most disappointing aspect of the purchase, I wouldn't be giving three stars if I had experienced better customer service.
Luckily my retailer accepted the product as faulty so I'm glad I did not purchase direct from Bose. I would have been happy with a replacement but the retailer are not getting any new stock in (they actually said they are discontinued) so my only option was a refund.
Not worth the money – I loved these headphones for the and couldn't live without them... but they only worked for 12 months. When they were working i was very happy with them the sound was great, noise cancellation was ok, could connect to two devices at a time which meant i could have both work device and personal device connected.
Serious Flaws – Comfortable, good noise cancelling, excellent in-call quality. This never happens to me. The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones last a very long time without recharging.
I love how comfortable they are, without putting things in my ear.
I also find the range quite well too. I do usually have my phone in my pocket, but when I don’t I can go out side, and around the house without interference.

device that connects with any reliability is the old Dell Venue. This was not a straight forward connection process which required trawling the internet to work out what settings needed to be modified in windows 10 to get it to work. As for the Oppo and Samsung the pairing was problematic and resulted in poor connection and reboots. To use with the Dell I have to depair the Oppo and Samsung or have them out of Bluetooth range or have the Bluetooth off or devices powered down. Trawling the internet again I found I am not the Lone Ranger with these issues with a number of threads on the Bose Community Forum with many other affected Bose customers with similar issues. Firmware updates provided by Bose have not rectified the issue and have created additional concerns for other customers. Check Bose Community Forum before you outlay your hard earned on a set of these. I still have my NC700's in hope of Bose coming through with a viable firmware update but have since have bought a set of Sony XM3s which have been without issue and of great performance.

Ok, these headphones cost me $545 and are by far the most expensive headphones I have owned but they are also the best. I have owned Bose Quiet Comfort 35II's and Sony WH-1000XM3's and these are, in my opinion, a much better and a higher quality feeling headphone than both of those. The latest firmware update has added an equalizer to the Bose Music app, which allows you to customize the sound to your taste rather than lumping you with a one-size-fits-all sound signature (not that it is terrible, just a little customization can go a long way to getting the best out of your products). Build quality is excellent, never feeling like they are going to fall apart. The most comfortable ear cups along with a soft silicone-feel head strap mean i can wear these for a full 8-9 hour work day (which I have done on multiple occasions) without even feeling like I'm wearing headphones.
Overall, the best out there and I would definitely buy them again given the opportunity.
Takes getting used to – I received the Bose 700 in white and rose gold for a birthday present from hubby. It takes some getting used to with the size as they completely cover the ears. It also has issues working with iPhone which I have the latest 11Pro Max but it drops out as you use the device and only leads to numerous restarts of the headset hoping it will connect. Super comfy, noise cancelling next level – Much comfier than the QC35. New buttons are a better feel and the tap functions to pause and play music are really handy.
