After 20 years of service my Breville mixer died. Remaining loyal i have purchased their latest model. It seems to be a competent replacement so far. I particularly like the retracting power cord and the base container which stores the 5 beaters (out of the kitchen drawer). I decided against a battery powered model as these still involve cords for recharging. Retracting cords rule!

Follow-up  · I am enjoying my new Breville hand held mixer. It is proving to be a worthy update to my old Breville. I give a hard workout as I’m often preparing dough for bread and pizza. I love the retractable cord which functions as intended. The beaters store well in the base compartment. I’m happy.

Follow-up  · After 12 months of using my Breville electric mixer I am very happy with my purchase. I have found no issues with noise and it is certainly powerful enough especially as it can easily handle heavy bread dough. The beaters rinse clean. I LOVE the retractable power cord, this feature should be incorporated into all kitchen appliances. Very well designed and solidly built. “5 stars”

I note another reviewer comments on a popping sound with their Breville mixer. This is not the case with mine. Perhaps the reviewer should contact Breville. This could then lead to a review of Breville’s after sales care.

Hand mixer that pops when I first use it then goes really well – This hand mixer does the job well, a single whisk, double beaters and dough hooks that stores in an attacheable container when not used. The cord rolls up into the unit when not in use which I find a relief when storing in a kitchen drawer. I do worry a little about the popping noise but considering it happens first, every time I use it, there is no reason to believe there is a moisture buildup causing sparking so she'll be right.
