CF Moto U Force 1000 – I bought my U Force 1000 about 2 and a half years ago when covid was happening and major supply issues so I didn't have much choice in the full size category. The only option that I got was the full under body protection because the ground clearance isn't as good as some of the competitors and the standard stuff was ordinary looking plastic. It was $19,000. I now have 4000 kms on it. I'll start with the stuff I like about it. The engine has heaps of grunt, I've had it up to 70 km/h on the dirt road that runs through my property and it was still pulling strongly. It was feeling a bit floaty so wouldn't recommend sitting on that speed. I think the manual says that it can do just over 100km/h. I would only recommend that on bitumen. I have towed the maximum allowable weight at 800 kgs and it handles it well, and I have had the tray full of iron bark blocks going up steep hills no problem at all, in low range of course. It has amazing traction. My block of land is very hilly and I thought that I would require 4x4 a lot but I actually hardly use it. The reason must be because of the limited slip diff. Before I bought this I always heard other farmers complaining about getting flat tyres all the time in there various brands of side by sides and I was expecting plenty as well but I saw others praising CF Moto for using Stag tyres because they are suppose to be so good. Well I have to agree after suffering no flat tyres at all so far. The last thing that I will give CF Moto praise for is the value for money. Now that a lot of the competition is in stock I decided to go look at some of them including the Polaris ranger 1000 and was shocked to see that not only were they thousands of dollars dearer but didn't come with mirrors, tow bar or a roof. Now for the things that are annoying or may be an issue for some people. The headlights are reasonably bright but don't spread much. It is fine for me to chug back to the house at 10-20 km/h but they are not suitable for high speed or hunting. There is an annoying rattle somewhere under the tray. If I put a bit of weight into the tray it doesn't rattle. I initially assumed that it was where the tray latches but I couldn't detect any movement in the latch. I then thought that it might be the heat shield but that was tight. I then discovered that the protector plate on the steering arm was loose so I tightened it but the rattle is still there so I am just having to live with it. It also now squeaks in the metal frame on the roof. The gearbox is jerky which is a common complaint. The glove box lid sometimes dislodges from one of the hinges and takes a bit of fiddling around to get it back in. It has sometimes been a bit hard to start, but never not started. Now for the more serious issues. I recently checked the oil and it was low. The problem is that I changed the oil not long ago so why is it low? I looked around the engine and could see that it had developed a leak. My fuel pump recently has decided to work intermittently, making the vehicle hard to start. I turn the key on and off repeatedly until I hear the fuel pump kick in and then I start it. My partner just turns the key and waits 30 seconds and then it starts, which is strange as the fuel pump still does not kick in during that time. My final complaint is the tailgate. It always felt flimsy and I believe the weight limit is only 70 kgs which is pathetic. A tailgate should be at least able to handle the weight of an average person. I've had the bolts that hold the tailgate wires to the body fall out. The tailgate has recently started dislodging from its hinges and ends up higher than the sides of the tray and therefore doesn't line up with the latches. I have to raise and lower until it seats back in properly. I will also mention servicing. This vehicle does not fit into a typical ute or trailer so I can't get it to my local [ 70 kms away ] dealer. I just assumed that they would come out to my property to do servicing but found out at the first service that they will not do that. They were going to charge hundreds of dollars to transport it. I decided to service it myself and because of that it voids the warranty which I was very annoyed about. Being Chinese I definitely wanted a warranty but the cost of hiring a trailer or paying them to transport it was excessive. I was better off taking my chances. I definitely made the right decision as the warranty is over and nothing major went wrong. I was talking to another local who bought the same type of vehicle from the same dealer and he always got it serviced by them and he broke an axle at 4000 kms. The dealer initially told him that it would be fixed under warranty but when he went to pick it up they charged him $2000. Their excuse was that the last service was done a bit late. And don't think because it is Chinese that parts are cheap. Luckily the only thing that I have been buying is oil filters, but one day I was at the dealer and he had some gearbox parts laying on the counter for another customer and I think that he said the bearing was $200, used to be $400 and the belt was $800 and they should be changed regularly. I told him that I will just wait for the gearbox to blow up. That's $1000 just in parts. I'm not saying do or don't buy this machine because I know that all brands seem to have some problems, for example a guy nearby has 2 Kawasaki Mules and told me that they are always in the workshop and the bills are always $1000 plus. Just letting people know what my experience has been. Now for an update 16/08/2025. I discovered that I had 3 months of warranty left so I asked the dealer that I bought it off if they would cover the fuel pump under warranty and they said yes but I had to do the work as I couldn't transport it to the dealership. That was fine with me. They got the part in and I swapped pumps and had to give them the old one. Initially the machine was running fine but then the same problem came back. I thought surely another pump couldn't have failed already. As it turns out it is the wiring connector that connects to the pump. I can wriggle it a bit and then the pump will prime. The connection is not loose and all the wires seem to be connected so I'm not sure what is wrong with it. I don't see how it comes apart but I will have to figure it out or go to the dealer and find a solution.
Purchased for $19,000.
It does the job really well – Edit 15/12/24 Still going ok. A glitch with the start doesn't always prime the fuel pump. The tray back catches are starting to need regular fiddling/alignment/fixing to close it. Still using it almost daily. We have owned this side x side for just over a year. It's the only one we have owned. It is absolutely the go to vehicle for our steep, rough and rocky terrain. Due to servicing logistics we are servicing it ourselves. It's not the easiest vehicle to work on. Service parts are expensive. Guessing all parts for them are. We have had no mechanical issues yet. It is noisy and has a lot of vibration. Towing an 8 x 5 dual axle trailer with fencing materials no problems. Our property doesn't allow us to get pace up for long. But it gets along alright when we do. Older models have a full time locked rear. This one doesn't and it is very manoeuvrable. We did get a metal underbody put on and seat covers.

couldnt have bought a worse machine!! – We purchased the CFMoto UForce 1000 in November of last year, and since then, it has been an absolute nightmare dealing with the problems it has presented. Within the first six months, we had to return the machine to the dealer on six different occasions, as they were unable to make it drivable. To make matters worse, the main dealer for Polaris came and insisted that we were operating it incorrectly. However, about a month ago, the machine was finally collected and whatever adjustments or repairs were made resulted in a significant improvement. It's frustrating that the incompetent dealer in Cooroy took six months to figure out the issues.
Unfortunately, our troubles didn't end there. After having the machine back for just about a month, we discovered that the handbrake is now broken, and the machine constantly cuts out while driving. Additionally, when coming to a stop, it completely shuts off, forcing us to restart it. This ongoing series of problems has left me utterly exhausted and disillusioned with this machine, which is clearly unfit for its intended purpose. I have no intention of ever purchasing anything from CFMoto again after this experience. If CFMoto fails to contact me within seven days of this post, I will be seeking legal representation and involving the Australian Consumer Fairs to address the issue of selling defective products in Australia. It is disheartening to note that this is not an isolated incident, as I have come across numerous reports on CFMoto's Facebook pages, where people share their constant defects and problems with these machines. Looking back, I sincerely regret not choosing a Can-Am instead.

Better buy extended warranty – Purchased the UFORCE 1000 new in September 2019. Since September it's been in the shop 5 times for electrical issues, battery not charging, digital dash went out, USB melted phone cords, 4x4 electric actuator went out. Battery discharged nearly every night.
