Fraud / Scam Never received my cashback! If i can rate zero star i would
This app is a sham. American company with an arm here in Australia (claims to be 'backed by AMP - for credibility). Customer Support inactive and unwilling to investigate complaints. Drawn out to/fro via emails, resulting in Citro NOT upholding their advertised offers of cashback incentives, nor merchant offers of percentage rebates on… Read more
transactions. Matters referred to Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). Sad that Julia Morris attached her profile to such a company with their regard for 'fairness' and 'honour' in such an UN-Australian way.
Got sucked in by the Julia Morris ads and the “backed by AMP” but this app is sham. Did first order with an Uber Eats deal, including with card tracking, nothing ever appeared in my Transactions. Contacted their Support and they didn’t even bother checking my account - they just said to wait 5 days. It’s now 7 days and nothing. This app seems to… Read more
be a data mining service - they want your data from your credit/debit transactions but have no intention of honouring the cash back.
I applied online for a Citro card, getting thru to the final stage only to be told my Drivers Licence & "selfie" wasn't approved. I called Citro, the Consultant emailed me a link to try the process again. I received an email stating my Driver's Licence was out of date which is absurd as I only renewed it 6 weeks ago & the expiring date on the… Read more
card reads 1/5/2026. Then another email straight after asking me to submit my passport. I do not have a passport so called Citro again, the Consultant stated "the national data base isn't recognising my ID", I asked for a phone number & which Database so I can rectify this issue to not encounter it again. After being on hold for 6 mins, the Consultabt came back to advice me they're introducing a new system next week called BYO where the application will be done over the phone & photo ID will not be required. She couldn't give me further details regarding the "database", a phone number or who to contact regarding my ID not being recognised. All sounds very shonky to me & my concern now lays in the fact Citro has my Driver's Licence photographed front & back & a selfie. I would highly recommend noone attempt to gain a Citro card !
I joined Citro with high hopes. Then after making my first purchase - over $300 worth - I spent hours chasing the cashback credit, only to find I had breached one of the terms and conditions of purchase hidden within the app. So no cashback for me. I would not have made the purchase otherwise. I'm not in the process of "unlinking" my bank… Read more
account from the service - even that is not an easy process. I have to book a time for Citro's customer service to call me.
Very disappointing experience.
Embarassing. Poor Procedures to Activate Card – A new cash back card that is linked to your debit card proved very embarassing while being used. I received my new Citro card which instructed me to link my debit account. When I first used it, it asked for a PIN which should have been part of the instruction for first set up activation. But it wasn’t. Setting up PIN was not in the welcome pack!… Read more
So it proved embarassing as the card was denied of no fault of mine but very poor procedures and instruction.
