I have only ever brought 3 bottles of this and each bottle has had the pump fail on the 1st usage. The last bottle I pumped about 3 times and the pump mechanism just broke on the inside. Poor quality packaging and a waste of plastic. I can never buy this product again

Incredible cleaner, terrible bottle Rating: ★★★☆☆ The De-Solv-it formula itself is 5-star quality. It is honestly awesome stuff and gets through sticky residue, grease, and grime better than anything else I’ve used. It’s my go-to for tough jobs because the product actually works exactly as advertised. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the… Read more

trigger spray bottle leaks incredibly badly. Every time I use it, the liquid drips all over my hands and runs down the side of the bottle. It’s a massive waste of product and makes a huge mess every time I try to clean something. Great contents, but the packaging really lets it down. I’ll keep using the liquid, but I’ll be pouring it into my own spray bottle from now on.

Can't rave about this product enough!! We have white ceramic floor tiles that suffered paint drips over time that even steam cleaning (multiple times!!) did not remove. We bought a small bottle of De-solv-it to 'try it out' - it has been fantastic, and all stains and marks I have used De-solv-it on, have gone!! We'll buy a bigger bottle next time!! Show details

Fantastic for removing sticky labels and dried glue – Removes all sticky labels (no matter how dried up and old they are) without damaging the original surface. Has a pleasant sweet oily smell. Also claimed to work on clothing stains but haven't tried it. As an ex chemist myself, it's always good to find a product that does what it claims. I suspect it would also work if you were stupid enough to… Read more

stick your fingers together with super-glue. Not the kind of thing to test at home of course unless you're desperate! About $12 from Bunnings.

Can’t get it out of the bottle – This product did start to work on a grease stain - but after 3 sprays it wouldn’t spray any more! Tried everything to get sprayer to work but it just wouldn’t! The top does not screw off so I couldn’t pour it into another bottle. Very disappointing Show details

Lid isn't well designed – For a spray bottle you'd think they would of designed the spray bottle top a little more watertight. I lost more then half the product after dropping the bottle and the lid popping off. The screw on section was still on the bottle but the insert popped out. Show details

New spray bottle – I have used this product for years and love it, but the new spray on the 125 ml bottle which I brought last week at Bunnings is useless, more product covers my hands and the floor than the surface I am using it on. Show details

Goodbye sticky messes – I first used this product many years ago when working in retail, they would get us to use this to clean off the residue left behind by sticky tape where they’d had a poster on the checkouts or aisles. I was stunned then by how well it worked, and even after using it for well over a decade now it still surprises me how effective it is at removing… Read more

things that other products just don’t seem able to clear.

Say you want to remove the label off a jar and the glue won’t come off easily, or perhaps you got grease all over some tiles.. spray a little on whatever you need to remove and let it sit for 30 seconds or so, it dissolves the sticky component so that you can simply wipe it off with a cloth or paper towel. Depending how thick the mess is that you want to remove, you may need to repeat this 2 or 3 times to get all the way to the bottom and remove it all. Generally once the sticky stuff is gone, I just run a soapy cloth over the surface to remove residual De-Solv-It, and it’s done, back to a smooth clean surface.

I’m not a big fan of orange scents, so have to admit that I don’t love the smell it leaves behind for the next few hours after using it. But it saves me so much time, effort and scrubbing that it’s well worth it. I’ve had no problems with the spray bottle and it lasts forever so my current bottle is probably a few years old. De-Solv-It is a product I always have at home, and have found so many uses for over the years. If you haven’t tried it yet, I’m confident you won’t look back once you’ve used it.

Worked when nothing else would – Desolved old road tar from car paint, which reduced scratches. Left it on 1 min then wiped/rubbed off. Used soapy water afterward to wash over tar-removed area then rinsed thoroughly. Show details

Great product, hopeless bottle caps and spray caps that break every time – The product works great but almost every single bottle cap or spray cap I have purchased over the years has broken from a small fall or getting bumped over. Maybe the formula makes the plastic of the bottle fragile but it’s a joke how easily they break. I now wrap mine in insulation tape which helps.

Where has this been!? – House inspections come every 6 months and doing a major clean is tough especially on those kitchen grease on top of the stove vent. This solution cuts through it and leaves a nice orange smell since it uses orange oils. It's also great on the dining table where a sticky residue builds up over time. Pretty much any surface that you can think of… Read more

that is recommended by this product to be safe! It removes sticker residue as well from price tags or labels! Really recommend this product!
