Lids do not stay on, so totally useless. Now I know why they were half price at Coles. I was trying move away from plastic, but looks I’ll keep using plastic instead.
I absolutely love them, over my Tupperware & others, love that they are transparent so can easily see what's in them, they all stack well together, easy to use in fridge & freezer, so easy to find the lids, been using for a couple of years now, everything stays fresh, woukdn't be without them tbh. I made a sponge and the ants got into it . I won't buy decor again as obviously doesn't seal properly
Love these, but the new version NOT as good – Absolutely love these glass containers. I've moved completely away from plastic, particularly in the microwave, and I picked these because I've had good experience with Decor in the past and I really like the colour coded lids. Also they're available at my local supermarket and frequently are on sale. I built up a good collection, but needed… Read more
some more and went to buy some only to find they are now called vent and seal.
The new models do NOT have colour coded lids, don't nest well with the older containers and don't have graduation marks on the sides.
Extremely disappointed.
Lids don't stay on – Lids don't stay on they just pop off So not good for anything really Concept is great with colour match which has me purchase quite a few, but quality not so much unfortunately Show details
Love them – Just what i was looking for. I wanted to stop using plastic containers for warming my food and wanted something that keeps food fresh. While the boxes are not super duper tight (if you fill too much there is a chance they will leak) and also i won't take super wet food to work in them (unless you can keep them upright). But for my purpose they… Read more
work great. Seal tights just fine - it makes a swoosh sound and you know its done. I found it keeps moisture well contained so food stays fresh longer. I don't think you can use these roughly but if well maintained I can see these lasting for long time. Colours are great - i got them all :)... love them in my container drawer and in fridge.
Won't buy any more – I have quite a few of the plastic match ups. While I love the colour coding that is where it stops. I find that the seal on these is quite poor and often pop open. When stacking or storing food in the fridge I usually end up placing something on top just ensure it stays closed. For some reason the green ones in particular seem to be worse. I'm slowly working them out of my kitchen and won't buy them again.
All good except they crack when stacked – I actually love the glass containers because you can see through them while storing stuff in the fridge, they seal well and they can be stacked or nested as decor suggests. The nesting claim is one of the main reasons I bought them as I am short on storage, but...... they stick together and crack easily when trying to get them apart. Now that I… Read more
have bought lots I wish i didn't. This claim should be removed from their adverrtising. Hence the 2 star because of the number that have cracked and are now in the bin.
Not a great product – I found the easy seal not to be easy at all. I Had to break the clips to get it open in the end so it wasn’t worth the money. Show details
Leaks often – I wouldn't call it leak proof. I very rarely use them for liquid. And yet they still leak even if it's just sauce from food. If you use them for liquid they pretty much leak all the time if you don't place them the right way up. Show details
Decor Match Ups Breaking – Recently bought some of the new range of Decor plastic storage containers Match Ups, the ones with the red bases. I dropped one of the lids and it broke, then I found one of the bases broken in the freezer. I contacted Decor and they claimed they are brittle because “Unlike other container manufacturers Décor do not put hardeners in our plastics… Read more
to make them unbreakable. Putting these hardeners in the plastic is where your harmful chemicals such as BPA come from”. However I have been buying Decor Tellfresh containers for decades. They are pliable and I’ve never had a breakage. Decor claim these older containers don’t have dangerous chemicals “Our products have always been made from the same materials”. Did the older ones last too long?
Glass storers great for holding cooked food – I use the glass storers for holding cooked foods. The purple and red versions are the ideal portion for lunch (depending on the meal) and the coloured lids are great for matching up the base with the correct lid. If you forget to remove the silicone rim attached to the lids when washing the containers, mould can build up over time (easy fix… Read more
