I am only compalining about Diggermate in Cairns. Last year, I booked a wet hire (operator + machine) quoted at $110/hr for backyard paving prep. The owner turned up with an unannounced second worker, claiming only he could drive the 2t tipper truck due to licence laws (which was incorrect as a C licence covers this). He then spent 1-2 hours per dump run, delivering only 3 times the whole day, and left 4 cubic meters of waste behind unfinished, forcing me to spend the next month clearing it via skip bins. He later blamed a communication error, claiming he thought 20cm meant 20mm.
Recently, I rented a machine dry hire, and a $100 refundable bond was added. When the owner collected the loader, no inspection was made. The next day, I was questioned about cleanliness. To resolve it smoothly, I volunteered to go to his yard and wash it. He initially agreed but then changed his mind, refunded the bond, and banned me from future bookings. This suits me fine as I have no intention of returning.
I would like to warn people if they want to hire the equipment from this company be careful of the post hire comunication and hidden fees.

Recently we had Travis from Diggermate in Erina come to unblock Storm water pipes. We can not speak highly enough about Travis and his equipment, he was friendly, professional, accurate in fact finding, a really hard worker, who cared about the end result and compared to what other plumbers told us they were going to do and charge he knocked it out of the park. When he finished the job he left it just as he found it only less the blockages. Thank you Travis we would have no hesitation in recommending this man. We were quoted a lot just for the first day with a lot of damage, he did it for a 1/3 of the price two cream and jam scones a couple cups of coffee. Please keep him in mind.

Diggermate Mini Excavator Hire – Guys were super helpful, got me the right machine and it was in great condition. The staff gave me advice on how to use it and it was able to be towed with my ute.
