Really happy with my experience with Econnex. The process was simple, straightforward and easy to navigate, and I appreciated the helpful service and communication throughout. Definitely worth using if you’re looking to compare your options and find a suitable deal.

I have used econnex a number of times directly and through Topcashback for electricity and internet sign ups and have been happy with the deals I got. I would recommend.

Econnex is great and they have helped me lots of times. This time though my old energy provider convinced me that stay. Econnex called to try to retain me but I was busy so we agreed on a time for the next day but the call never came. When it was time to review my electricity plan again in July, they helped me switch to another competitive option with 1st Energy. What I particularly appreciate is that they don’t just help with the initial connection—they also make the switching process simple when you want to review your options again. Econnex describes its service as helping customers compare and switch providers through one platform.

Because of my positive experience with electricity, I also decided to take a broadband connection through them. They were helpful throughout the process and even assisted me with the porting formalities, which made the whole experience much easier.

Overall, I’ve found their approach very customer-friendly, and their customer support has been responsive and helpful whenever I’ve needed assistance.

So far, so good — genuinely happy with the service and would recommend giving Econnex a try if you’re looking to compare and switch your utilities.

forget your electricity/gas plan, and people like me chasing the best offers and trying to maximise savings, rely on these comparison sites to stay on top of it. By reviewing my options regularly in every service we use, I have saved thousands, (yes, THOUSANDS) of dollars each year.

It’s definitely worth checking your plan every quarter to make sure you’re still getting the best deal and to take advantage of sign-up bonuses, cashback offers, and other promotions (such as incentivised reviews). Yes, I might be incentivised for leaving this review, but I promise is 100% sincere.

Another thing if I haven’t yet sold you into the idea of comparing. The energy companies work very hard to attract new customers, but existing customers are often left paying more. The competition for customers is relentless and loyalty rarely pays, so don't be afraid to shop around. Don’t give your loyalty in exchange of an exorbitant bill.

The only thing I wish is that I had natural gas connected instead of LPG bottles, so I could compare those plans too and make it cheaper.

And finally, a tongue-in-cheek thank you to everyone who never bothers comparing their energy plans… you’re probably helping fund all those discounts, credits, cash back, and deals the rest of us enjoy!

was “cancelled” within 30 days of signing up, which is completely false.

I provided my electricity bill, my AGL account statement, and an email from AGL confirming my service was connected from day one with no cancellations or disconnections. Econnex ignored all of it. They just keep repeating the same line without offering a single piece of evidence to back up their claim.

The lack of accountability is unbelievable. They refuse to explain the discrepancy, refuse to investigate properly, and refuse to honour their own promotion.

If you’re signing up for a gift card, be warned: even if you meet every requirement, they can still deny it with vague, baseless excuses. There are other reviews where people only received part of their gift card bundle and assumed that was “good enough.” That’s exactly what this company relies on - customers who won’t push back.

Very easy and straightforward process. Econnex made comparing energy plans simple, and I was able to find a suitable deal quickly. The whole process was smooth and convenient. Very happy with the service and would recommend Econnex to others.

The move was easy and stress free. The new electricity provider offers comparative price and what I am being charged the same as what I received initially in the quote

Given their whole pitch is simple and online with no phone calls needed, it was really annoying to get a call with 10 minutes of completing the online process asking if I wanted to change the provider I’d just chosen.

While i was glad to receive help in potentially getting help changing providers, the day i submitted it i ended up with 7 missed calls in two hours while at work, some were one after the other. I decided against continuing to sign up as the aggressive tactics to contact put me odd.

I’ve been using Econnex to compare electricity and gas provider for a long while. Great product which helps facilitate comparing and changing electricity and gas provider, which comes along with extra benefit from ShopBack.

Used Econnex recently to switch internet providers. I was worried it would be messy but it was frictionless and zero downtime with internet. New internet provider is half the price of my old one for the first 6 months and then still 10% cheaper after that. Very easy way to compare multiple providers so would use them again.
