Enerdrive | Dometic B-Tec Lithium 12V 200Ah Battery

Unfit for purpose – Battery must be mounted in the upright position despite most other brand being able to be mounted on end or side. This on its own makes its convenience no better than an old VLA battery. This is not stated anywhere obvious prior to purchase and the information is buried in the warranty fine print. The manufacturers technical department state the BMS circuitry may become detached with vibrations and cause short circuit and fire. Simply if the build quality is this bad it will definitely not perform effectively nor safely for the intended purpose upright or otherwise and potentially burn your Van/ Camper/ Car or all of them to the ground. Several other Lithium battery brand have no problem with alternative mounting. I'm fortunate the supplier took it back and refunded me. I've bought another brand Lithium battery that states and warrants, it can be mounted on its side.

One of the few lithium batteries that can deliver 200Amps continuously at 12V – Like a lot of people I made the decision to switched my secondary AGM battery. Of course when you see all that extra energy you start thinking 240v inverter. To run most of frying pans your going to need 2000-2400W@240v. P=IV so you're looking at a solid 200Amps draw on that battery. As it turns out there a very few lithium batteries that are comfortable above 100Amps let alone that 200Amps of bacon and eggs cooking territory. Then I found the Enerdrive B-TEC 12V 200Ah G2 Lithium Battery which specs are very impressive. There is a reason you pay more and that more is in this batteries specifications and this is the one that should grab your attention: 200A @ 25˚C ±5˚C for 30 mins. That's impressive and it's true. I just crossed the Simpson with a Microwave, Induction Cooktop, Toaster, and Sandwich maker! All paired with a Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/2000 through 75mm2 Lincon welding cable the battery just delivered. Charged at a solid 50Amps off the alternator through an Enerdrive BCDC erasing the 10% discharge for breakfast in about 20 minutes, so impressive. The numbers are real that battery nailed the 200Amp output with no alarms on the extensive bluetooth iPhone battery monitoring app.

Really like this battery it's the perfect supply for serious inverters like Victron.

Enerdrive system thumbs down – Unfortunately when you buy the battery you need to buy the whole system. This includes dcdc charger, mains charger, 2600 watt inverter, panels to hook in and all the accessories. For us with car and van this was around $18k. We ended up with 3 x 200ah batteries. First long trip out and first stop no power. Got to the bottom of it with the help of the great staff at Caravan HQ. The lead on the side of the inverter had fallen out. Enerdrive said they could do nothing and replacement stock would arrive in a few months. They suggested we fix it ourselves with some silicone.

I was unhappy as I didn't like messing around 240 volt power. Unfortunately the only solution given to fix it ourselves. Went back to Enerdrive for a placement but was told the inverter should have been installed so the plug was vertical and would not fall out.

Was then told if we did not like that to take out the inverter and send it back for a refund. The next comment blew me away, if you what to criticise the product send an email to R&D. This would not work as the inverter runs the whole van.

Moral of the story, buy Redarc. Customer service when a product does not work is everything. Enerdrive should be good by just isn't. Please check my reviews, my reviews are not all 5 out of 5. I will just give an honest account of products we have purchased, not given to endorse.
