Epson EcoTank ET-4750

Use to love Epson. Had a dot printer years ago. This one worked great when we first bought it but after that it was one big fail. We only print every now and then. When we went to use it months later the heads were blocked. After troubleshooting online it said it was a common problem and the ink tank printers needed to be used constantly to avoid… Read more
blockages. I ran it through a couple of cleans but no improvement. It recommended as a last resort to run it through a deep clean. The deep clean uses a lot of ink. The ink bottles may last a long time but they are very expensive to replace when the time comes.
If you want to use the document feeder or change paper or get good quality print don't choose this printer – Purchased this printer for two reasons - the document feeder and the eco tanks. Ink consumption is great and easy to top-up. However printer operation is so frustrating you feel like picking this printer up, smashing it on the floor and jumping on it. Document feed worked from day one however it wasn't long before this became intermittent - pages… Read more
wouldn't start scanning, pages would stop scanning, fictitious paper jams. Cleaning the printer, lighter/heavier gsm, unused paper, nothing worked. Have given up now and gone back to manually placing the pages for scanning. When you run out of paper you replenish the paper tray. Every time without fail the printer won't print, advising you are out of paper. You take some pages out of the tray, same message, take some more paper out then it starts printing, will print one page then comes up saying you are out of paper - this can happen over and over again. Finally, whilst printing is cheap, print quality is poor. I had thoughts of printing some letterbox flyers but the print quality is simply not good enough. Even grayscale or txt printing is poor compared to other printers. Seriously, wish I had never purchased this printer.
Terrible Printer – Quite possibly the worst printer I have owned. Ink heads continuously block up despite regular cleaning. Docunet feeder jams all the time. First and last Epson I will ever own. Do yourself a favour and look at a different brand Show details

Pathetic excuse for a printer more like a paper weight! – Since the moment I installed the printer, it has been nothing but trouble. Firstly, the colour wouldn't print and after trying a couple "deep cleans", it took a trip to Harvey Norman to their support staff for this to be fixed. Then it misses ink, constantly! Lines all over the document, pictures and text, all the same. Head clean, then check,… Read more
another head clean and another check and yes, another head clean. Once you've printed a bundle of pages (less than 100) it's another head clean. Now, the pictures print so ratty and dark, you can't see what I am trying to highlight! So I must "lighten" all the pictures to accommodate this printer!!!! I'm an disgusted in Canon for producing such a crappy printer and pretty disgusted in Harvey Norman for insisting on it being great. These reviews are old and easily viewed yet Harvey Norman sold me this printer, raving about how great it is. I have never paid as much as I did for this printer and the cheaper, more costly ink printers win hands down compared to this piece of rubbish! I want my money back!
So glad I bought this printer!!! – This ET-4750 is my second Ecotank and is the upgrade from my old ET-4550 and I have LOVED both printers. We run a business and home school from home so the printer gets lots asked of it. The issues I've had: scanning was slower than I needed and WiFi connection was poor ini the cupboard I have it tucked away in and that was making printing speeds… Read more
very slow. I didn't want to move the printer so I now have it plugged into our router via Ethernet and now all wifi printing is super quick. For the scanning, for the volume I do (up to 4,000 pages in batch sessions) I simply bought a small dedicated scanner (Fujitsu ix1500). While it's been extra hardware, this printer has more than paid for itself, the extra scanner, the electrician to run the extra ethernet cable and all paper etc in ink savings and given we were spending $150 every 13 weeks before getting my first Ecotank, this technology has saved us between $2400-3000 over the last 4-5 years. They're not perfect for all situations but I HIGHLY recommend them and I'm not being paid anything to write this review - I'm just really, really pleased with the Ecotank range and they deserve good reviews out there from happy customers!! One closing thought, the options on print settings are good, the control from my Mac is good and once setup, it requires basically no maintenance. I just needed a workhorse printer that could do B&W/colour/ 2-sided at a decent speed and this has been totally perfect for me.
Brilliant printer. Meets all of my needs – I am surprised by the range of reviews. I have owned my printer for 12 months, and it is brilliant. My brother purchased the same model, 6 months ago, and it meets all our needs. No problems, ever ! I have been a computer programmer for 40 years, and have owned and used 100's of different printers. The idea of a printer with heaps of ink,… Read more
is/was a major selection feature. In the last 12 months, I have used just 50% of my first set of ink bottles. I still have the second set of bottles stored away, ready for future use.
Epson has always been popular with the photography users. The best quality printing, and inks.
The input paper tray is a bit small. The output paper tray is a bit fragile. This a printer for the serious home user, and not a commercial environment.
Software automatically checks for updates. Great feature. ... The programs can always be improved, bu tstill good.
My wife has an Apple iPhone. She happily sits on a lounge chair, watching TV and printing things wirelessly. Not so brilliant, because I have to hand deliver. LOL !

Best printer I’ve ever owned – Ink lasts for ages and no bulky cartridges for the environment. The software can be a little bit tricky but it works well. I will never go back to old cartridge printers Show details
Absolute ripper – I don’t get the 1 star reviews. I have it connected wirelessly and it works fine. it disconnects, like any printer when permanently connected wirelessly to a router, but reconnects every time perfectly. Have had a few docs get caught in the ADF but only with poor paper. Have scanned 20-30 page docs no problem. It doesn’t have photo quality print,… Read more
but I don’t need it to. I have one at home and one at work, and they air print just fine, from phone, ipad and laptop. still haven’t replaced the ink a year later.
Long Term Review – Have had the ET4750 for two years now and have not had any issues. It runs in a small office so at times can be worked very hard. Absolutely love this unit with costs of INK. It has probably saved us around $400.00 - $600.00 per year in printing cartridges. I was actually a bit worried at first as it looks a little flimsy but has not faulted so far. I would recommend for a small business wanting printer with low coast inks. Show details

Have 2 same printers and both are ABSOLUTE RUBBISH, Extremely Unreliable – Bought 2 printers of this model and both have the same issues. When scanning you always must be by the printer and help printer to take every page you scan otherwise in 80% the page will get stuck and you need to start all over again. Same with printing, paper being taken with awful noises and in 50% cases paper is not picked up. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH Show details
An expensive unreliable and frustrating printer ! – Paper Jams often. Goes offline repeatedly during print jobs. I've checked Internet and it's not the problem. Status of printer says, offline or idle or unable to connect to printer. Yet I can print from my iphone but not my Mac Air or my Samsung. Very frustrating when you need to print something and cannot get it to reboot or produce a full… Read more
page document. Epson has replaced it and it worked for 4 mos and then same problems. Junk and they know it.
not printing on glossy paper and very bad service – I really liked this printer and the idea of eco tank until I wanted to print on glossy paper. No matter what setting, the prints looked terrible. When I called the Epson help line to get some technical advise there was no help what so ever, in fact the offshore help centre hung up on me twice. It was really the worst customer service I have ever… Read more
received! It might be that it prints better on Epson branded paper, however that is very difficult to get hold of and even when I did, it was not the quality paper I was looking for. So if you are looking for high quality printing and good customer service don't buy this printer!

ET-4750 This printer gave me three years of life only, and it's not working properly – I want to give it 5 stars before but now it is no stars at all. I bought two maintenance boxes. because I need to do head nozzle cleaning so many times, probably I did 30 times and bought off the maintenance boxes were full and I have to do power cleaning and you need to change the maintenance box as well. Every time you do a nozzle cleaning you… Read more
are wasting ink. So I spent 150 dollars just to do this inconvenient printer of Epson. I call their Epson support and they told me that maybe my printer is not reliable and needs to buy a new one or it must be fixed. I will never buy this kind of model.

Worst APF - Automatic paper feeder – The ADF for scanning documents is completely useless. Paper jams without fail every time I use it. It usually fails after scanning 4 or more pages. I write this review after using the ADF now for at least 20 times, each time a different document. I do not recommend buying this unit if you require a ADF. Show details
Good printer except the copy/scan feed tray does my head in!! – The print quality is good enough. No problems with wireless printing. Economic on ink and easy to refill. Slow to copy a page. The feed tray for scanning documents is a waste of time. Had it in to be fixed a few times and they cannot fix it. So disappointed! I only need to scan up to 10 pages a few times a week but end up wanting to throw it out the window every time!! Show details
The worst printer I have ever owned. 120 characters is nowhere near enough to tell you why I hate this printer soo much – Internet issues Software issues Printer cartridges need to be refilled at half point I have to call epson for help most times i try to use this machine. Does not meet the potential that is claimed – Have had this for a number of months. Good: ink economy Bad: Automatic Paper feeder doesn't work - paper kept on getting jammed. Print quality: Compared to my previous HP printer, it matches. Compared to my previous Canon printer it came second. Software: Continual glitches for which I could not get solutions, continually reinstalling, especially… Read more
when connected by USB. Via wifi the scanner would stall with no error message. Basically the software always seemed problematic when it came to scanning. Less software issues with printing.
Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-In-One Inkjet Printer – Joyce Mayne sold this printer to us claiming it was a good quality printer. Yes, it is economical on ink but it is not a good quality machine. Print resolution is so-so and colour rendition absolutely terrible. It applies too much yellow (no profile adjustment) and can not print a pink. Pinks are rendered as creams. If you are required to have… Read more
particular PMS matches then do not buy this printer. When we informed Joyce Mayne they gave us the name of a service agent to check it. The serviceman said that they are a volume printer and that the colour was as good as it gets. Joyce Mayne would not assist any further despite having sold us this printer claiming it was a top quality machine. Not impressed Joyce Mayne. You have lost a client who has spent many thousands of dollars over the years.
Paper Feed a Disaster – Epson ET_4750 is warranted for 50,000 scans from it's 30 page paper feeder which I found to be horribly temperamental and jamming up constantly. Gave Epson the benefit of the doubt by swapping my second warranty replacement ET-4750 [since January] for a third. Brought it home and the paper jammed on sheet 14 from brand new by trying to drag in 3… Read more
sheets through all at once. Will be retuning it and trying another make of printer. Cheers Andrew C.
Economic printer, easy to use – Printer is user friendly and topping ink up is a breeze. Print quality is outstanding, definitely one of the best Eco tanks on the market. Easy trouble free printing for home or the small office Show details
Worst printer ever made – Printing one piece of paper can take up to an hour because it is constantly jamming or will tell you it needs an update, even though everything has been updated. I spent a lot on this printer. It is slow, incredibly loud and clunky. An absolute RIPOFF. Show details
Document feeder keeps jamming up – The document feeder for the scanner is very sensitive, if you try and scan anything other than new sheets of paper, the paper gets stuck in the feeder. I took it back to the shop and they gave me a new one and it is doing the same thing Show details

Very disappointed! – At $600, aimed at 'small businesses' there's no 'duplex scanning', an essential these days! The ADF jams easily, the Print Driver is slow / often fails to complete the print job. Show details
Absolute garbage – This is the slowest, clunkiest printer ever. And it's SO LOUD!! Paper jams and complains constantly. The only reason it has 1 star is because it won't let me give it zero. We walked in and just bought the most expensive printer thinking it would be a lot better than our $80 one. It's not. Please save your money. Show details
Piece of junk - a waste of money – This printer is a total waste of money. It only worked correctly for a few prints which were substandard compared to other printers. The text frequently goes out of alignment, distorts lines & words. It puts thousands of black dots in background, making the text unreadable. Instructions to fix problems don't work. instructions multiple times does not work. The on-line Support staff are useless and give incorrect information for the wrong type of printer & worse still, try to force customers to pay yearly fees to join some organisation to get any further support. Not all the functions of the multi-function printer work. It does not work with NBN at all and unable to send or receive a fax. Scanning is substandard and not worth the effort. Epson should (but don't) properly support customers and fix up their sub-standard machines which are still under warranty. I will never buy another Epson printer.
I have spent an hour now trying get this stupid printer to connect to the WIFI. Avoid this piece of junk!!!!!! – I have spent over an hour now trying to get this printer to connect. It says it is connected to my 2G network and the Laptop is also connected to the same network. I wiped all the software, reset the printer only for it all to happen again. This should not be difficult for gods sake. My TV, Phone, Laptop, Google home , Old Epson printer are all connected and work fine. Show details
Useless scanner feed and wifi connectivity – Six weeks old and: Have to constantly reconnect to wifi Scanner feed keeps jamming Cannot scan individual pages of a multi page document Poor service from Epson Customer service Cannot rely on it to do my job Show details
Good little unit EXCEPT for the scanner feed!! – How can Epsom sell a printer/scanner that does not scan correctly? $680 from Harvey Norman - I have to carefully hand feed EVERY page into the scanner and hold the lower one at the same time to even stand a chance of it scanning. Makes it very frustrating as they still jam even when I do that. Show details
Please don't buy this beast!!!!! – Purchased this item from Harvey Norman for $800 during COVID - home schooling, as it was the only printer they had left that was supposed to be able to print and scan. It has been nothing but trouble, tricky to install, can't scan more than one page - as it jams, printer settings drop out, can't connect to EpsonPrint app from iphones. Have been… Read more
back to Harvey who had nothing else available - thanks COVID. It's going back to the store, once they have stock of other printers. Have had Brother, Cannon and HP printers before and never any issues. Bye Bye EPSON, last product I will ever purchase.
This Printer is a disaster – We bought this for a small office in May 2020. It is now back in the box waiting to be returned. The main reason we bought it was to be able to print wireless via WiFi. After initial success it stopped printing. Epson installed all sorts of rubbish software on my computer. When investigating the reason the Wifi was not working I discovered that my… Read more
Windows 10 OS had been tampered with by the printer software. I had to restart the print spooler in the Windows 10 OS just to go back to my old printer. It also took more than one hour to go thru the rigamarole that Epson makes you go thru to set up this printer.
Epson Workforce ET-4750 problematic auto paper load scanning feature, rarely works – Referenced the operators manual and even returned as warranty claim and to a repair centre, but paper feed still jams resulting in error message to clear paper from automatic data feeder. Show details
Absolute Poor product do not buy it!!! Plus Epson support line terrible – It started off good, and then as you got into using it, ( I've only had it for 5 months) it started going stupid at 2 months. The scanner does not work, it starts to work and then stops mid way scanning papers get jammed. And then if you dont scan for a few days it starts to work again, very touch. the printer itself, prints blurry, its not crisp… Read more
and sharp, its like the very first bubble jet printer. The only thing it can do is print high loads of paper, and the ink does last. But thats it, every other function is terrible. Even then, at 5 months I started getting lines through my printer, and then I have to do a maintenance on it every few days, very annoying. And this is the worst part of it all, when I have called Epson for support (I bought this product from Epson online ) they have people that cant speak English property, they dont call you back when you submit online request. Even then when I called in, no one could help. Then they sent me a online troubleshooting link to clean the blasted thing. Worst investment, they arent cheap $650. I run a small from home business, and I need to print and scan alot. Dont waste your money on this printer, find something else with a better support line.
EXPENSIVE PAPER WEIGHT – From thr start it's been nothing but problems. First the paper would always jam, it won't scan and savde images properly and the wifi function is all but useless and 95% of the time I have to connect with a usb cable to print. If I wanted a useless peice of cheap rubbish I would have gone to KMart or Big W and bought something for a tenth of the price. Don't buy one !!!!!!!!!!!! Show details
Excellent – Price is higher than comparable printers BUT ink prices are sow low, you will make up the difference fast! Ink comes in small bottles, not propriety cartridges with eprom chips that stop you using 3rd party refills. It is fast, has tons of features, A3, double-sided, scan, copy, PDF, fax, email etc Show details
3 replacements, 3 repairs - 1 issue - 19 months ET-4750 – 3 replacements, 3 repairs - 1 issue - 19 months ET-4750. QLD Australia. Epson ET-4750 adverts, specs, reviews appear to describe a higher end ($700) home printer that does everything, except double sided scanning. In theory. In actuality, the ADF (document feeder) is severely and inherently inadequate by design. 4/3/18 purchase printer (registered… Read more
online and got the extra manufacturer direct warranty)- everything setup, connected, printed, updated, communicated and worked like described, advertised, until ADF started to make harsh cranking blockage noises like gears were stuck, but the motor kept trying to force weaker plastic cogs to turn, nothing ever audibly broke or stopped. Regardless of which printer, newness, #of replacement parts, brand of paper, gsm, fresh or old printout, folded, wrinkled, all paper jammed, fed in crooked, fed ALL at once, fed 1st page then all pages, fed 1st page then 1/2 of page 2 then cancel itself, fed 1st page fed 2 pages at a time, then all remaining sheets all at once in adf until cranking jamming noise again. Epson told me to take it to authorised repairer. They have a standard 2 week to 4 week wait. I did that on 3 occasions, driving 1.5hr ea way, each time. Epson authorised me to take printer back to retailer once, 60 min each way trip. I raised 2 other complaints and was successfull to have Epson replace the replacement 2 more times. This latest printer was sent in late Oct 2019. I wasted 3hrs to try to get 10 pages to scan + 2hrs begging Epson and repeating myself and stepping through the broken english ignorant call centre attendants condescending 'troubleshooting'. - Epson supervisor promised to call me back, after he had chosen an upgraded model that he would send to me with a begger quality ADF. Of course he didn't. Waited 2 more weeks and I have now got Epson and retailer to accept that I want my money back. - ET-4750 concept is great. The printer is highly connective, accepts print requests via email, apps, all print drivers ios and Android, wifi, no issues with LAN or remote access. Epson ET-4750 is the perfect printer. It is the absolute lowest grade scanner on the market in the past 25 years. (yes, the old $44 canon pixma wins)
