Flimsy and overpriced. If you are buying this for a bad back, don't. The lumber support is way too extreme and not nearly enough adjustable. Customer service unresponsive. Show details

THE GOOD The Joobie V2 is comfortable, appears well made, and the packaging was excellent. Delivery time was reasonable. THE NOT-SO-GOOD The chair is overpriced for what it offers, and the shipping charge is high. Tracking updates were poor —… Read more

nothing appeared until the day before delivery. The chair travelled Singapore → Sydney → Perth, which is an unnecessarily long route. ASSEMBLY ISSUES The included assembly sheet looks simple but is incomplete. The gas lift jammed immediately when following the instructions. With no troubleshooting guide provided, I had to work out how to separate the components myself. The piston arrived fully compressed; pressing the valve manually extended it and finally allowed the height lever to work. A basic note in the instructions would have prevented this. LACK OF INSTRUCTIONS No adjustment or operating instructions are included in the box. I had to rely on AI and then search the Joobie website to work out the chair’s functions. When I requested instructions, ErgoTune sent an Adobe Illustrator artboard file — not suitable for normal screens or printers. For a chair in this price range, proper instructions should be standard. RETURN POLICY CONCERNS The return policy is advertised as a major benefit, but the fine print makes it almost unusable. Conditions are onerous and return shipping costs are so high that the “risk free” claim feels misleading. DESIGN LIMITATIONS The armrests swivel too easily and cannot be locked in place. At this price point, lockable armrests should be expected. FINAL THOUGHTS The Joobie V2 is comfortable once assembled, but the overall experience — incomplete instructions, assembly issues, poor tracking, and a restrictive return policy — makes it difficult to recommend. Prospective buyers should be aware of these issues before purchasing.

Follow-up  · Lumbar support is OK but headrest is all but useless because I have to lean my head too far back. The chair has stopped rolling on wheels because the chair five leg base gas lift recess in the centre has split after three months and the gas lift collapsed onto the floor so chair won't roll! Also it damaged floor covering. I note in Product Review… Read more

After much deliberation (and even creating a spreadsheet to compare all ergonomic chairs in the same price range) I ended up purchasing the Ergotune Joobie, which was delivered quite promptly after ordering. The reviews online were all pretty positive and the price is a good mid range, so I was expecting a fairly high quality product. The cons of… Read more

the chair (or probably more for women - I'm 168cm tall for reference) is that I have to recline (or lean back quite far) in the chair to get the full support of the headrest and upper back area. The lower lumber area does protrude quite a bit (but not uncomfortable). I suspect for a taller people or someone more well built it would support their upper back better. (Yes I also played around with the settings of the lumbar). The second more annoying thing is that the arm rests do not go back far enough (or any further down) so I can't get the chair close enough to the table to get to my keyboard properly - as the arms and table are the same height. This would not be an issue for taller people with longer arms, or if the arm rest could go back more or lower down. The pros - easy to put together, the colour was a nice coral tone, not too red - not too orange. The build quality is quite solid and doesn't feel cheap. I have had the chair for about a week now, and am happy with it. I just wish the arms could go lower and it had less tilt on the back so I wouldn't have to lean so back for the full support.

I purchaced a Joobie in March of 2025 and the back rest has started to come apart. and after sending them pictures of the faulty product, I got the terms and conditond sent to me saying its normal wear and tear. This company is a scam! Their products dont last and they give a bogus 6 years warranty which is useless as the paper its written on. Dont be be fooled by their amazing marketing. All a con. Show details

I purchased a Joobie in October 2025. In April 2026, I noticed that it was rocking from side to side, and it was lower to the ground than usual. Upon further inspection I identified that there were cracks forming at the hole from the bottom of the plastic wheelbase and the gas cylinder through to the ground, causing damage to my floor. I have been… Read more

back and forth since then with Ergotune support trying to get a refund, but they have been resistant, first initially saying that they do not provide refunds outside of 21 days of purchase, then stating that I have to pay for return shipping of my DEFECTIVE item. This is contrary to Australia's consumer laws. Avoid this scam company and do not trust their claims of a long lifespan of the chair or their return policy.

I ordered this and many other items for our office. So far, this is the only thing to not arrive. It was out for delivery, many many days later than should be expected as standard, but the driver told me he "couldn't park" so took it away again. Our office is in the CBD - you can't deliver an office chair to a CBD? And they knew the address all… Read more

along, do they.....do they not deliver things for a living? Meantime, all I get from them are emails saying they will sort it out but they don't, and they haven't done a single thing. I just want a refund since they won't bring me what I paid for so I can buy something else, but absolutely nothing from them. This is a terrible company, I really strongly advise you to buy from somewhere more reputable.

I placed an order for a chair, was billed, and received an email confirmation. The website indicated delivery would take around a week. About a week later, I followed up on the status of the order and was advised that the chair had not been shipped. I then asked for the order to be cancelled, but it was not. After that, I received an email… Read more

stating, “Your chair should have been delivered by now.” When I checked the tracking, the order was marked as delivered, but I have not received the chair.

My email inquiries about the failed delivery have been met with responses offering to assemble the chair for a fee.

False advertisement I purchased on 8th March 2025 through the advertisement "International Women's Day FLASH sale" on the website. The ad stated "Upgrade your joobie to include Footrest for FREE". The link then takes you to the standard purchase page, where if you add the footrest, a $70 charge will show up in the shopping cart. There was also no… Read more

further explanation on how to claim the free footrest. Naturally, one assumed a foot rest would be included once you have fulfilled the criteria of A) purchasing a Joobie, and B) purchasing on 8th March, aka International Women's Day. Unfortunately, I did not receive a footrest with the order. When I emailed for further information, I received standard bot responses like "sorry about the confusion" and "we will pass on the feedback". However, no actual resolution was offered; instead, they put it back on me for not adding he footrest to the purchase. They also insisted that since I have already received the order, they are unable to address the issue anymore. The whole customer experience was non-existent and rather scammy.

Overall experience The main thing that drew me to Joobie is the lumbar support, which is an excellent idea for people who suffer from lower back pain. Unfortunately, while it promotes adjustable lumbar support, it fails to advise that it does not lock in place and slides back into the lowest position once you lean on it, which renders lumbar support useless. For the price tag and scammy customer service, I would not recommend this vendor at all.

I did so much research on chairs, read reviews, watched videos to find the Joobie. I've had it for two months, past the return date. Firstly the good, the packaging is good, the build quality is pretty good, and quite a lot of features and adjustments. Unfortunately it's just an uncomfortable chair regardless. I'm 188cm, male, and the seat edges… Read more

curve upwards at the sides, forcing my legs together. It has all these features but no seat base tilt. So to take pressure off my legs I push the seat base forward, then back, then forward, which means I need to change the lumbar to suit the new position, which then clicks out of alignment, have to start the process again. Then an hour later I change it again, and again, and again. The lumbar support isn't just supportive, it starts to feel like a brick after a while so now I have it in the lowest position so it doesn't push on my spine so much. I wish I could take it off. I wanted to buy a chair that was ergonomic but the only ergonomic way to use this chair is it you sit half on the seat and don't use the back rest at all, in which case it's no better than a stool. I then bought a sit stand base for my desk because the arms were too tall and were scraping underneath the desk when at my right seat height. I don't mean to be harsh but it's honestly how I feel. Just a shame with online purchases that the website oversells on comfort and doesn't actually deliver. The return policy simply isn't long enough relative to the cost.

TL;DR The lumbar support was too aggressive for me and I returned it. I spent 3 weeks sitting in this chair, trying to get used to it, but no matter how I adjusted it, or how long I spent getting used to it, the lumbar support was far too aggressive for me. The seat pan also did a poor job of distributing pressure. It concentrated it in 2 spots… Read more

at the hips on either side. Would have liked the arm rests to go a bit lower, too, so it could go under the desk if desired.

It's a real shame, as everything else on the chair was pretty great. I really liked the footrest and the recline, along with their fancy backrest tilt adjust, I forget it's name, but when you recline the backrest angles a bit and kinda goes with you. It's nice.

ErgoTune have a pretty forgiving returns policy, AS LONG AS YOU CAN GET YOUR CHAIR BACK INTO THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING! You also need to pay for the return shipping and any damage to the product. If you want to test it out for yourself, make sure you take photos at each stage of your unboxing so you can figure out how to repack it.

The other thing is, the way the gas lift slides into the wheel base, you're going to have an incredibly difficult time getting them back apart again, as none of the bottom of the cylinder is exposed to hammer on (unlike the ErgoTune Supreme). So make sure you have a heavy hammer and something metal, round and hollow in the middle, like a big hex socket, about 3cm wide, just smaller than the cylinder, so you can wail on to get them apart without damaging it.
