Pump and recommended installer - both fantastic – Very happy with the Fusion-i 12 and the recommended installer from EvoHeat. I was thinking that I might be limited to the i-9 unit with a 10 amp outlet, but I am glad that I listened to the installer for what was recommended with my pool size, and then upgraded my old outlet to 15 amp, which was surprisingly cheap and easy to do (and I would… Read more

recommend anyone building a new pool to make sure to put in a 15 amp outlet).

Once installed in early October in Perth, on a cold pool, I was suggested by the installer to run it non-stop for a "few days" to get it up to heat, but it was already at a good heat level after just the one day with a blanket. Now with solar panels on the roof and a timer on the unit to run during daylight only for cheap /free power, it holds the heat nicely.

We've had a month of shoulder season swimming already, which we wouldn't have had before, and we look forward to more to come. The family is also now happy to go for a later afternoon / evening swim which is a nice way to end the day.

Never going back now – We had a Fusion i19 heater installed in September 2021 and have been using it for four months now. We absolutely love the warmer water, much more than we expected! Anthony at EvoHeat was a fantastic help. I spoke to him several times about our pool, the conditions and options. I was surprised when he told me I didn't need a Force heater and… Read more

that Fusion was fine for my situation. It's rare that you find someone who really cares about finding the right product for you and doesn't just try to sell you the most expensive product you'll buy. I was ready to buy a Force thinking it would be best for us but Anthony was quite open about the Fusion being good enough for us.

Further to this Anthony was a great help in selecting the size. I ended up going one size larger than what the modelling said was required and I have no regrets that we did.

We modelled the heating with a plan to keep the pool at about 26 to 28 degrees. Once we had the heater installed we feel this temp was still cool to swim in so we turned it up and tried different temperatures. We fell in love with 32 to 33 degrees! I would never have picked it. Again, I'm glad we went with a larger size.

We live in Sydney and this summer has been unusually cool. In a normal summer we may not use the heater but this summer we've still used it. Even on the hot days 28 degrees has still been quite nice to swim in. Over 30 isn't so nice on those days but on the cooler days or in the evenings we've quite enjoyed the warmer water.

One time we did test out the heater at it's maximum heat setting of 38 degrees. It did it! It probably wouldn't be possible in the colder weather but in the moderate weather (e.g. sunny 24-26 degree day) it was able to reach this temp. It was like a jumbo spa! This temp is way too hot for normal usage and uses quite a bit of electricity but was nice as a treat for cool evening night time swim.

We have a pool blanket an it is a big help. I wouldn't recommend heating without it. If we have consistent warm summer weather we leave it off but for any cooler weather we leave it on.

The only point that fell short of expectations was that I did have to follow-up EvoHeat a few times to get answers or details on some occasions. It was during the thick of Covid outbreaks and lockdowns so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that this isn't normal. Once I did get in touch they were super apologetic and helpful.

Overall, a VERY happy customer and highly recommend this product.

Our pool is about 35,000 to 40,000 litres. Live in South West Sydney. Rob at Pool Care Company installed the heater. Jake from Bristow Electrical installed and connected the wiring. Highly recommend both of them.

Disclosure: EvoHeat have a promotion that customers who write a review get extended warranty. I plan to apply for this and suspect many others have too. There has been no pressure to right a positive or negative view. I would have said all of the above even without this incentive although like most happy and well intended customers I may never have actually got around to writing the review without this incentive.

Efficient and quiet pool heater – We got a great deal on the EvoHeat Fusion-i 12 heat pump from our local pool shop who installed the unit for us in March, knowing our pool wouldn’t be operational until a few months later. The heat pump was switched on in the first week of Sept when the water temp was 18C. It was only run during peak daylight hours to take advantage of our solar… Read more ·  1

panels and it took about 3 days to reach 28C. We had a Daisy pool cover installed so we lost up to 4 degrees overnight due to the big temperature drops most evenings. From our experience a pool blanket is essential to minimise the overnight heat loss and cut down the power consumption. Less running time each day should also extend the lifetime of the unit.

Our pool is approx. 33,000 litres and we were advised that the 9kW heater would do the job, but after reading many pool forum recommendations (which all said oversize the heat pump) we chose the Fusion-i 12 (11.66kW) unit. We’re very happy with the performance of the larger unit. It’s very quiet (quieter than our pool pump running on low!) and on most days in October it’s only running 2 hours per day in the morning to get the temp from 28C to 30C after the overnight drop. The extra few degrees makes a big difference to the amount of time the kids spend and enjoy in the pool.

We also had our electrician install an EvoHeat junction box (JBox) to allow the heat pump to control the pool pump independently of the chlorinator. This is an optional add-on for pool owners that want that extra level of control. The JBox does the job as intended, but in hindsight we would have left the JBox and purchased the Wi-Fi controller instead.

The only minor gripe so far is the front protection cover of the display unit is easily marked even when using a very soft cloth with warm water.

With the performance we’ve observed so far we’re expecting the heat pump to extend our pool swim season to 9 months. Our unit is capable enough to heat all year round with the pool cover, but the outside temperature would be too cold in the winter months.

We're very satisfied with our decision and happily recommend the EvoHeat pumps to other pool owners.

Great heater, need gecko prevention advice! – Works well for our 40,000L pool and extends pool use in the cooler months in central Queensland. those in QLD, vendors should advise precautions and known gecko related issues. Simple measures such as PCB coating, use of gecko repellent chemicals/methods, mesh installation by the installer and vendor could go a long way.

Absolutely avoid these units – Rubbish. Each night when you have it on after pump goes off it trips out with error code E03 or E01. If it’s E03 then it starts the next day so that’s ok but if it’s E01 then it won’t start. So if you’re trying to warm your pool up before summer then you have to watch over it like it’s a baby. We ended up hardly even using it as it was so much… Read more

trouble. After 3rd year we had issues E02 code so we couldn’t even use it.year 4 and we decided to get it fixed to be told warranty was no longer available. Considering this machine had probably not even done 300 hours feels like we were short changed after being charged $1500+ by Evo to have someone come out and repair it, who said that he fixed one issue which then we had more problems with it and he came back out to fix yet another issue with it. Biggest pile of junk metal you can buy. Probably worth more as scrap metal. Evo shame on you Dispicable. You don’t even deserve the one star rating as you haven’t earns it in my opinion.

Two broken pumps. Zero after sales service. $9000 paperweight – First pump literally lasted days before a complete failure in February 2022. Had to fight to get a replacement and not wait weeks for parts again (having waited weeks for parts and service the first try). Controller on second pump died only months after the replacement install. That was back in October 2022. Had to chase for months to get a… Read more

replacement part, finally got one sent in February 2023. Summer gone.

Replacement doesn’t work. Evoheat know it doesn’t work. Do you think they’ve sent a replacement? No. Unless it’s lost in the mail again (that Auspost had no record of at all).

Two summers gone, two pumps, three controllers and $9000 wasted and I don’t think I’ve had an Evoheat pump work as it’s supposed to for more than a few weeks.

Would have been better sticking to gas. Even with current prices I’d be no where near down $9000.

And still don’t have a fully working pump over a year after I paid for one.

When it did work, it heated the pool, but then that’s what it’s supposed to do.

We have two EvoHeat Force i-17 heat pumps for our 100,000L 20 m long lap pool. Complete control over when to heat, and integrated with our PV solar system, so costs are kept down. The heat pumps are quiet, especially considering there are two of them. The installation with our local and excellent pool shop was straightforward and quick. Very happy with our purchase and here's to swimming those laps in the middle of winter! Show reply
