Foogo Vacuum Insulated Leak-Proof Straw Bottle

Not leak proof – Toddler also dropped in on the floor in the first week we got this and snapped off a bit of plastic (which caused the lid to not be able to be closed! I had to order lid directly from thermos. The clip part of the bottle has narrow sides where I find mould grows and very difficult to get the brush there to clean it. The straws are only… Read more
compatible with this range and not the “upgrade” lid with handle thermos bottle. Would not recommend - should has just got the lid with handle thermos bottle straight up.
Ticks all the boxes for us! Read for leak fix – We've had this bottle for close to a year and used daily and it's survived a lot of toddler treatment of being thrown around! I noticed a lot of reviews complain about the leaks but there's actually a reason for the leaks: the silicon straw part and the hard plastic lid have water trapped in between. What happens is that there is no good seal and… Read more
then the lid just gets tightened more a more which makes the seal worse. You have to let the parts dry after wash and seal gently and make sure straw remains straight. We've had no leaks since figuring this out. Another reason could be that the hard plastic ring is not sitting properly and pushes the lid out of alignment. Make sure you clean the ring, if it stays wet, it can grow mould.
Otherwise, I love that it is stainless steel, no nasties from plastic in my kid's drink. It's insulated so doesn't matter if it's sitting in the sun. Holds a good amount of water for the day. Super easy to clean, all the parts come apart and even the straw deattaches into two for easy cleaning. It's hygienic with the lid and other kids can't always work out how to access it... And durable, my kid chew threw a thin straw in another brand! This won't get chewed!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY – Awful design and like many of the other reviewers our first bottle leaked within a day - got replaced thanks to Baby Bunting and then two weeks later the cap broke. Yes you guessed right it’s not covered under warranty. However baby bunting kindly replaced it as after sending pics to thermos they insisted that the lid had been bitten !! The sales… Read more
lady was convinced looking at the condition of my bottle that it wasn’t so replaced it. I contacted thermos via phone to share my disgust at their customer service and the representative asked me to send in an email. No response!! Not what you expect for such an expensive bottle !!! They have changed the design of the kids and the lady at baby bunting did tell me that they had several complaints of the same thing !! You’ve lost me as a customer THERMOS!!!!
Great insulation but watch out when buying parts – Have been having this bottle for a year since my girl was 1yo. It has never leaked on us, and kept water chill or warm. The only grief it gave me is finding the right replacement mouthpiece and straw which took me three trips to babybunting (still didn't fix the problem; i was sold the wrong mouthpiece). Thankfully found the right parts from thermos Au.
So disappointed! – Bought 2 of these bottles for my 2yo daughter for Christmas 2012, excited by the claims of "toddler-proof design". Unfortunately, not 2 months later, they are breaking, and 1 is already unusable by my daughter. The problem we have encountered is that the push button for the lid is very susceptible to damage by dropping. The plastic button on… Read more
each bottle has a white line across it where it has been weakened, and is about to snap off. My daughter cannot open the lid on 1 of the bottles, and I even have trouble pushing the button to get the lid open.
One of the bottles was damaged after only 1 use - call me crazy, but that isn't very toddler-proof in my books...
What was even more disappointing was the customer service from Thermos. I was informed in no uncertain terms that the plastic components of the bottle are not covered by warranty, and that the only thing I could do was purchase a whole new lid section for each. Coupled with the postage and handling, that would equate to the cost of another drink bottle!
I could see us having to buy numerous new lids for each bottle, so I think we will just cut our losses and buy a different brand of drink bottle. Such a shame, as I really liked the "thermos" aspect, as well as the relatively leak-proof lid of these drink bottles. Keeps drinks cold, relatively leak-proof lid Button on lid breaks when dropped, problems not covered by warranty, relatively expensive
Laeks – My baby loves drinking from this bottle, but it leaks... several times it has leaked all over the nappy bag and soaked everything inside :( easy to use by a 10 month old Leaks.
Bad – Okay for occasional use, but they don't hold up to every day use. I wish Foogo would make their stainless steel range in some other colours rather than just pink and blue. On the upside though you don't need to wait until your kids are 18 months for these, mine had them at 12 mos. Insulated, plastic is BPA free and the top shuts to keep flies… Read more
and bugs off the straw. These cups are not nearly as tough as the sippy cups Foogo make. The bottom comes off and pretty quickly and the straws need to be replaced. The water or whatever is inside tastes a bit plasticy from the straw after awhile. Not completely leakproof.
