Greenworks Battery Powered Lawn Mower 2510107AU-Kit

Coming from a decent powered petrol mower, I have decided to buy my first battery mower only for a lighter and easier to mow experience. I only purchased on a whim after putting it off for a few years. I bought the 60V mower with no self propelled drive and a trimmer kit for $799. It comes in one large box and quite well packaged. Included was one 46cm non-self-propelled push mower with catcher, trimmer skin, one 60V 40Ah battery, and one charger. As Greenworks always have a promotion going for this kit and others, you can redeem one extra 60V 4Ah battery at no extra cost. Once redeemed, it took about 42 days to receive. The battery received was manufactured in 2021 whereas the battery within the kit was manufactured late 2025. I had concerns regarding the almost 5 year old battery received and contacted Greenworks about my concerns and wanted to swap it over for a later manufactured battery as I am a bit weary of a nearly 5 year old lithium battery sitting in storage for so long. My concerns were disregarded but just advised on proper charging. Anyway, the mower performs pretty well. I have right on 250sqm of buffalo turf that I maintain at around 50mm all year round. I only mow dray grass so can't comment on wet grass cutting. The very first mow with a fully charged battery, my grass was sitting at about 100mm so I took half the length off in the one pass. The mower never did struggle and it was all completed in one pass. After the 250sqm and approximately 35 minutes to complete the job with about 4 empties of the catcher, the battery level remaining was approximately 50%. There are 4 indicator lights on the battery to keep an eye on the battery level so I had 2 of the 4 lights remaining. Charging is super quick and only takes about 20 minutes to top up to full. The mower has one full fixed blade with 2 opposing cutting edges. After finishing the whole lawn on every mow, I do notice a few long blades of grass that stand above the rest. Not really an issue as there aren't so many that it stands out too much. The snipper works well and has a lot of power but feels heavier to use than my petrol trimmer. The snipper also uses approximately half a battery for the full yard edges. I use it as it is more convenient than mixing 2-stroke fuel for my other snipper.

There is no chance that the mower would be able to do a lawn renovation on my buffalo where I mow down to dirt level with only stolons running above the ground. That is where my petrol mower will be put to use. But this Greenworks mower is very light and easy to maneuver. The battery lasts a good long while and has the power to mow through long buffalo. The cut quality on the supplied blade is clean, but does miss some blades of grass. The catcher is fabric style and holds a good amount of clippings. From my only one experience of needing to contact customer service, I am left underwhelmed with that resolution where my concerns were ignored altogether.

Absolutely devastated that I timed my purchase wrong. When I purchased the kit 3.5 months ago for $799, it has since been replaced by a better kit for the same price. If you're keen on a mower and snipper kit, you can now get a 60V kit including a 46cm self-propelled mower, string trimmer multi-tool, one 60v 4Ah battery, one 24V 2Ah battery, and the charger, (also another 60V 4Ah battery by redemption). For comparison of other branded kits, this is worth the money and performance justifies the price.
