Great product one shortfall – I have an M7 & M8 and love them, the lights, music and story features and playlists can buy precious time in the morning. I don’t use the various alarms, dirty nappy detect air quality etc but these work well with sone variance of course. But the white noise depends on an internet connection, this is a major flaw as if you use white noise every… Read more

night as we do, sooner or later any internet connection will falter overnight resulting in waking the children, when they get used to white noise and it gues off it wakes our children. Happened about three times a year for us so we bought separate devices for white noise. The temperature sensor is off my 3 degrees also, no big deal once you get used to it.

Do not buy. People hacked in and speak to your child – Do not recommend these cameras to anyone. And to to all those with Wi-Fi connected baby cameras. My partner bought a new phone ye…so he’s trying to download the baby cam app. Couldn’t find it so he tried to contact them. Apparently so many have been hacked that they’ve pulled it from apple and android. Annoying… But get this.. PEOPLE ARE NOT… Read more

ONLY HACKING THEM BUT ARE SPEAKING TO KIDS THROUGH THEM. Now several times my daughter has woken up because she hears voices. She’s said random things like someone is waking me up and telling me to jump out the window, if she sleeps she’ll sleep forever. Shouting no to someone in the middle of the night, even me and my partner have heard a women shout ‘shut your freaking mouth’ and we genuinely thought it was some weird nightmares, someone outside or even the weirder one.. ghosts. Until we heard it ourselves. Hearing the clicking of photos being taken and finding them in the app even when we’ve turned recording off. She’s mentioned things like that she hates the camera because it scares her at night. It’s literally someone freaking hacking in and talking to her. Causing nightmares, shouting abuse, scary noises or threats and making her too scared to sleep. We kept brushing it off as night terrors.. but it’s the camera.

To make things worse, we’ve all been getting changed whilst those cameras have been on. So somebody has those videos and images of my children. It was only meant to connected to our own private Wi-Fi and yet…

These cameras are expensive. Rated the best on the market. They’re meant to have ‘the best security’. Even our Wi-Fi is meant to be secure. Obviously they are not. To anyone who owns an Ibaby Camera, any of the models. Rid yourself of them immediately.

Well I’m buying a normal non Wi-Fi one but what absolute I feel sick and furious someone is that sick.

No customer support when it breaks – I have had my iBaby M2C for a year now and it has worked perfectly up until recently. I changed over to NBN and although it initially worked for a week, it then randomly stopped working and I have not been able to get hold of anyone at iBaby to assist. I have followed all Troubleshooting tips, reset everything a large number of times and nothing has worked. Their Facebook Messenger is a bot and they don't respond to their customer support emails. Show details

Was expecting better – On paper the iBaby M7 seemed to have everything I needed and more. I am really disappointed in the sound and video quality. Plus it is VERY slow to move the camera from left to right quickly. The sound is so loud and tinny and when you turn the volume down on your app it doesn’t always turn down in the room. I had been using a free camera app… Read more

Great vision, sound and plays music!! – Hubby works in IT so he researched and compared this device with others in detail. We love how clear the camera is at night and during the day. Bonus is it records, plays lullabys (there are at least 50 song choices!), has a speaker if you want to speak to baby and tilts and pans easily to capture baby's entire bedroom. We have it set up on both… Read more

Unreliable and crashing app – The image quality and sound quality are great, however frequently freezes and the app crashes several times per nap. I’ve emailed the company and they admit issues with the app

Perfect for my little family – Have had my IBabyCare for the last 4 years and can say I am quite happy with this item. Camera is responsive and works well. Very rarely drops out and when it does it is usually the internet causing the issue. Had a couple issues with screen on app not opening, IT sorted that out and no issue since. Also have used it to spy on dogs via 4G on phone and has worked well. Show details

Perfect of you or your partner if you work a lot! – Really great product, works really well just annoying that it relies on wifi! You need to make sure you have your wifi working on the right setting for camera to function well! I like it because I can see my baby breathing as the quality is so good! My partner talks to our son when hes at work, which means he never misses a moment! Also the other features are a great bonus, its like 5 products in one!

Starts ok but after 5 months it’s become unusable :( – Audio and image quality are great. The app is good. HOWEVER it has suddenly started dropping connectivity and this makes is dangerously unreliable and offers us no peace of mind. :( For the first 5 months of operation this unit worked exactly as expected and then suddenly (one week ago) it started to drop the wifi connection after… Read more

approximately a hour. It will only become available again after a power cycle.

If anyone knows a remedy to this I would love to hear it. I’m unaware of any changes to our wifi or other environmental factors. We have upwards of 20 other wifi connected devices in the house and they’re all operating fine.

In theory it’s great, in practice it’s unreliable – I bought one of these online as FTM and it seemed to tick all the boxes - app, able to use while travelling, good audio/visual, sleek design. The monitor itself was easy to set up. My baby is 4.5 months old now and I haven’t been able to use this reliably on a single occasion. It’s been sitting gathering dust whilst I research other options.… Read more

The app would constantly freeze so I thought my baby was fine when in reality she was crying and needed me and would often fail to connect no matter how many times I restarted the unit and/or the app.

I live in a small house with excellent internet coverage as well so it’s beyond me why this unit struggles so much to perform a basic function. Very regrettable purchase and experience.

Just doesn’t work – Don’t waste your money. I took back one that didn’t even turn on took home a new one to find out that doesn’t even work either. My sisters first one as well stopped working, so do not trust this machine. Also had such a hard time to even get the first one exchanged because it was faulty. We couldn't trust it – I travel quite a bit for work, am always on my phone and love technology. The iBaby monitor was a perfect fit for what I was after. It looked great, could connect easily to my wireless network in my house and I could access the footage and video remotely. BUT... watching your kid sleep for an hour and then realising the screen has been frozen… Read more

completely kills your ability to trust the product. Trust is the number 1 benefit for baby monitors. If you can't trust it... then you aren't using a baby monitor. This product is an internet connected audio visual camera, not a baby monitor.

Right now we are using it to monitor our dog when we leave the house because we love seeing what he is up to and can risk the screen timing out or the product losing connectivity.

We now use the Oricom SC860 Touchscreen Video Monitor and couldn't be happier with the Oricom.

Love the monitor but the reliability is lacking – It’s a great monitor when it works properly which is 90% of the time. It needs to be reset from time to time which sometimes can’t be carried out due to bugs which is really frustrating. the issues we’ve had that needed resetting: distortion in noise when turning on “listen”, alerts not saving in the media gallery and monitor not connecting… Read more

alltogether. the cable on the monitor is placed quite inconveniently as it restricts the position of the device and takes awhile to adjust the picture. Apart from these issues the monitor is great, I love that I can open the app and check on my baby even if I’m not home(not that I don’t trust whoever is looking after him...sometimes it’s easier than an annoying text- “is everything ok? Is he still asleep?”

Absolute Junk – Have not been able to install on Android or IOS, connection unreliable and support was along the lines of "have you tried switching it off and on again". I believe it is an issue with the iBaby application (iBaby View) not being compatible with the latest versions of Android or IOS, however I have not been able to confirm this and their support desk is not very helpful.

Wonderful....when it's working :/ – Image is quite good, does the job and has some good features like being able to take photos. Set up was easier than anticipated. Unfortunately the reliability of the product lets it down. Connection was frequently lost and app occasionally wouldn't open. I also found that leaving the app open on my phone caused my phone to chew a lot of battery and overheat.

Static issues! Do not waste your money! – Terrible product. The audio is fuzzy at best. My first one the sound went completely out and was nothing but static. Again I sent it back and this time the new one did the same thing except I never had any use out of it, it came out of the box… Read more

No Australian help portal.. Below average products – Once you contact ibaby in USA they seem incapable of answering any questions, be prepared for no answers and spaced over weeks. Don't care if product faults after 14 mths cause warranty as only 12 mths- definitely do not stand by their product... As for the alarms/ alerts.. Very poor. Wished I had never gone with ibaby.

Not so good compared to the price paid for it $160 – Camera works on wifi. Good picture but very unstable. Sometimes when my wifi is ok but the picture still drops. Can't multi task – We bought 1 ibaby and it worked well so we then tried to set one up in each of the kids rooms. This is where everything went wrong. prefect! love the product – I bought this on ebay in which seems to be the best price i get on the market. Excellent monitor, looks like a surveillance camera. Good image quality. very timely. see the baby with or without the monitor. The monitor allows me to see my baby if she is playing ok on her own whilst i am downstairs (avoid running up and down) and let my husband who is at work to check on us two at home, and my parents overseas to see the baby. Yes it works perfectly even the camera and the iphone are at two different countries. I guess this camera is prefect no just for baby use, if it's properly install at the house, it can be served as a real surveillance camera. Great invention for that price as everyone these days have ipad, iphone i pod...the ibaby will last forever whereas other baby monitor stuff has to use its own remote system ... timely, prefect night vision, monitor movement control, compatibility with i- products!! cant zoom and not video recording feature

Expensive & only OK – When it works it is great, however this is only 60% of the time at best, therefore it is unreliable as a safety monitor. I travel a great deal for work and it has always been great to watch my daughter from other cities around the country/ world. When it was first purchased ibaby worked great, but in the last year the reliability has been terrible Good night vision, can use anywhere Incredibly unreliable

Good concept but unreliable – Like you, Jason, since using it on the first night....there were multiple disconnections and the app also crashes intermittently. N it chews up the battery life on your phone too.

I do like the features of the night vision n it's ability to move at a swipe of the finger n that my husband can see her when he's away.

I think if the bugs are fixed on the app, this has the potential to be a really good product. Night vision, move the camera at a swipe of my finger, can see my LO anywhere there's a wifi/3G connection The app can be unreliable as it keeps dropping out, can't zoom in/out gradually, sensors could be more sensitive

Great value for money – I am so impressed with this gadget. You can hear and see bubs on your iPhone or iPad. Once set up it works well. There's a handy utube video on how to do it. Night vision is great and being able to move the camera from your device is so good. Peace of mind is priceless. Love it.... Well worth the money.

Great concept and easy to use with iOS BUT – At first, when I bought the ibaby monitor -> great concept being able to use iphone or ipad to connect to the wireless baby monitor. HOWEVER, using it on the first night....there were multiple disconnections and the app also crashes intermittently. And there were times couldn't connect after trying several times.
