Jesen, was very prompt to look at the repairs required on my slat gate. He followed up with a quick and reasonable quote. And then returned 1 week later to complete the work. I would like to recommend him to others

We recently had two fences constructed by Sonny (Jim's Fencing) and his team in McCrae. We are so impressed by the work they have done; they were detailed, efficient and professional in every way. We will be using them again soon at another property and recommending them widely.

Had a quote visit from Adelaide Elite Fencing through Jim’s Fencing on 17th May 2026. The contractor was rude, his name was Sardar Mohammad. He asked about my budget few times, over the phone and in person before inspecting the job, and showed very little knowledge of the work. compliance safe, which is incorrect under AS/NZS 3000 wiring standards. He spent less than 10 minutes here, didn’t measure or assess the site properly, and couldn’t explain basic requirements like safety beams for automatic gates. Didn’t feel confident in their professionalism or technical ability. Would not recommend if you want someone who actually understands gate automation and Australian compliance.

He didn't even know the size of motor he was to put in. Neither he knew if the motor he is putting in will have a battery back-up.

Totally disappointed and what a waste of time and my Sunday

[Name Removed] and crew took weeks to erect my fence. One Saturday took two of them to put up one panel. Can’t even keep my gates secured when open need a magnifying glass to find the holes. Still pissed off

The Colorbond fence was installed in December, but there were repeated delays regarding the Oxworks materials. In January, I was advised multiple times that delivery had been pushed back. The contractor refused to provide the Oxworks order number. When I contacted Oxworks directly, I was informed that no order had been placed.

When I raised this with the contractor, he advised that he would not complete the job and offered a $2,000 refund, stating that $800 represented the cost of the completed Colorbond fence. The original quote did not allocate separate pricing to each component, so this approach appeared unreasonable. Nearly a month later, the area manager visited and explained that the contractor had underquoted the job and was no longer with the company. I was told that $800 reflected the “fair market value” of the completed work. However, I do not consider it fair to retrospectively apply a market rate to only part of the job when a fixed quote had been agreed.

Despite attempts to resolve the matter, there was no meaningful follow-up. I was ultimately told there was nothing further they could do. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Jim’s Fencing. A quoted price appears to offer little certainty, even after a deposit is paid, as the contractor may simply decline to complete the job. Communication was poor, delays were not properly managed, and the agreed quote was not honoured.

Aman from Jim's fencing Virginia came to fix my steel gate..it was sagging from my brickwork..he was very polite and had everything on board..was fixed straight away for an excellent price..I'm very happy..I would recommend him to friends and family..

Haji was very quick to respond and we found him friendly, efficient and well priced. It was a small job and I doubted whether anyone would bother with it but Haji was happy to help out. I would happily use him again if needed. Highly recommend.

Attin did a perfect job of repairing my fence in Hamersley. Seems there's nothing he doesn't know about fencing! Left the site spotless. Very friendly and processional and a good price.

We had Duminda from Bayswater put up our fence yesterday. He is the most professional, hardworking and friendly tradie I have ever had. This guy is an excellent fencer! Top quality and really nice guy. I can’t recommend highly enough.

reinspect for a requote. Totally unprofessional in my opinion. Based on this experience, I will not be considering Jim's anything in the future.

Ozzy A contractor from Jim’s (TimberBond Fencing Co) was a pleasure to work with. He was prompt to coming over for a quote and starting working on our new fence early in the new year. He has done a fantastic job. Ozzy was able to accommodate some last minute changes to our fence and the new aluminum and colorbond fencing we have are great!! Highly recommend

Colorbond Fence on a slope I have just installed Colorbond fences on a sloping downhill fenceline, and it looks magnificent. You can see the workmanship and expertise involved in calculating and adjusting for the slope. David and his worker did an excellent job in just two days, fence removal included.
