Impossible to clean – On her second sitting in this chair, our daughter made a mess. That’s when we discovered that the chair is conveniently designed with a number of nooks and crannies that stuff can sneak into, the cover can’t be washed in a washing machine, and in fact you can’t even take the cover off unless you cut a cord. We took it out to the garden and hosed… Read more
it down, but now we have the choice between having our daughter sit in her own mess or throwing it into landfill. For our first child, we had the cheap, standard IKEA. It didn’t have pretty pictures of Dutch houses, or fold. But it was practical and we could clean it.
Save yourself money and hassle by running far far away from this chair.
P.S.: it was also horrible to assemble, though it came partially assembled.
Cheaply made – We purchased this highchair six months ago. After a few months I noticed that the seat fabric was thinning and starting to have gaps in the outer layer where the seat and backrest meet. Baby bunting organised a replacement seat padding/insert, and we were told we were the first to have this issue. After having the new seat padding for a couple of… Read more
months it’s started to happen again.
I wipe the fabric clean after each use yet the integrity of the fabric is poor. I can only assume it’s cheaply made.
As its just the seat cover, Joie refused a refund and only replaced the seat insert. Pretty disappointing for this to happen again in such a short period of time.
Bought Joie Mimzy in a hurry, not over the moon – We bought the highchair in a hurry, didn't have much time to think about usability and got overwhelmed with the 6 in 1 feature, so we made the choice. Still spoonfeeding, so can't comment on further use, however cleaning, assembling, disassembling is painful. The design of the security straps and the way they atache to the base and back of chair… Read more
is really poor. A lot of food gets everywhere and I literally have to pull it apart to clean properly, espcially if I want to wash the security straps. I wish I had the chance to think about how I am going to clean it every time after feeds, so I would say I am not recommending this chair.
Agreed - tray is too high – After reading the reviews about the tray height we tried the Joie Mimzy Snacka in store, thinking the tray height of the Mimzy 2in1 would be the same. It wasn’t. Luckily my boy is super tall at 7months (75cm at 6mth check), but definitely most babies would struggle to reach their arms over the tray. Other than that, very happy with the chair. Cushions are great, adjustments are easy to use, and leg rest is good. Show details
Do not buy unless you plan to spoon feed forever – The table height is too high and does not allow for self feeding. It sits at baby’s chin and doesn’t allow their arms to reach the tray. All pros of this highchair are lost to the fact you can’t use the tray. Show details
Not comfortable for baby – Bought this product for my first baby as it was the one recommended by the baby bunting staff. I’m so disappointed as this is not a functional chair. My son who is 8 months old struggles to eat from the tray. There is no way I can adjust chair or tray for him to comfortable to feed him self from tray. His poor arms are stuck behind tray and can… Read more
not comfortably reach over and on top to get his food. My son is not a small baby and I can only imagine how much harder it would be for Mums with smaller babies. My sister n law has the next version up who has a baby same size and he can happily reach over and eat comfortably. I’m so disappointed as I wouldn’t of spent 250. I now have to use my sister n laws chair as it’s an amazing product and easy for bub to eat. Would of been fine if tray could be adjusted up or down and I have exhausted all avenues to make this work. I’m so sad as eating is a fun time to learn and grow and I can not with my son.
Great chair – Easy to clean, sturdy and safe. Having only two wheels I found out was a European standard and gives the unit extra stability which works well for my family. Couldnt be happier
Nightmare to clean – This high chair lasted all of 19 days in our home before the smell drove me insane and i took it back to the store! Quite simply, the webbing (restraints) and the seat covers are a nightmare to clean and even after wiping down and rinsing through the washing machine, they stink! Food is very difficult to wipe off, even if you do a thorough job.… Read more
There are many cracks and crevices in the body of the high chair too, which means food can get lodged in there. Not a good design.
It's a shame, because the high chair seems very comfortable for the baby, but ultimately, this isn't fit for purpose.
The wheels are also not too good, so you can't really 'wheel' it anywhere, more like drag it or try to lift it. It's not too heavy, but just a bit awkward and the wheels don't really work so kind of redundant.

Good chair, but the food tray is too high for the little one – This High chair is quite stable and comfortable, but the tray table is too high for out 7 month baby. He hardly can put his arms on the table, So we haven't used the try yet... it does recline, but not fully recline, I never left baby sleeping in the chair. But in general, it does the work and so far I haven't found any other issues with the chair. CON: hard to move Pro: comfortable Good value
Such a challenge to move it – The built of this chair is good. However, its so difficult to move it from a place. Also, its legs are spread wide and my lil boy keeps tipping over :( the seat does rotate which is useful at times.
Love/hate relationship – I loved this chair as it reclines and is suitable from birth, we got it when my daughter was 3 months and starting to interact , she loved being at the dinner table during mealtimes. Pros it's comfy and swivels 360 degrees so would turn it so that baby is facing me when doing stuff in the kitchen and living area. I could see no bad in this chair… Read more
until baby started eating , it's a nightmare to clean and the straps are made from a material that can't be wiped so I have to wash them each time baby gets food on them. I don't regret the purchase though cos my baby's reaction to being level with the dinner table was priceless and I had a small table so could not put the rocker on it.
