NOT recommend Kimbo for their customer service. Can't review the product because I still have not received it

I found that the sharpener did not sharpen anywhere near what was advertised. I tried rolling backwards and forward many more times than was recommended (like about 10-20 times more!) and all that resulted was a blade which was only marginally sharper than before. I'm also now believe that the diamond surface has lost any sharpening ability it might have had, so the tool is essentially useless. Very disappointed. Show details

I've used it three times on my knives to sharpen them when I first received the kit. Any large knives don't fit to sharpen them and the smaller ones don't fit either. The 20° angle on the block is useless with large knives, it might sharpen a knife if it fits just above the magnetic block. In my opinion it's rubbish. Show details

Don’t waste your time, and even though they say 90 day money back it’s not true at all, they have made every excuse under the sun not to refund me even though I have sent the product back!

Not sure if product is good or not as they use the worst courier company in Australia. And therefore never received goods as left in public area. Not advised of delivery. After reading some negative reviews,I was worried I'd ordered a dud. Very pleasantly surprised. High quality, very easy and quick to use for non knife geeks and VERY effective. Maybe if you're a knife geek and happy to spend hrs on your blades, this is not for you. For the other 99% of us,brilliant. Very happy indeed!

I tried to order one sharpener on line. Payment was requested and and no confirmation online and field reverted to the payment page again. I authorised again only to find they had added a product and charged me twice. when i tried to cancel the transaction. My bank was unable to help because they say I authorised the transaction. Banks and Government authorities should take action against these scammers using dodgy practices because all the laws around online sales and bank merchant facilities are skewed to protect the scammers and not the consumer. The protections are only lip service and the Bank's make more money from the Merchants than they do from the consumer. I just feel stupid that I fell for Kimbo Australia's scam, who say they are australian but this is obviously stretching the truth. I consider myself to be very financially literate but I got duped this time

Having waited for 11 days and not received delivery, I can’t review the product. I can say that Kimbo initially contacted me back with my queries as to when to expect delivery and eventually provided tracking info. I have asked for a refund and had no response. I have contacted Freightster (freight company) NO response. Next point of contact will be Fair Trading. Disappointing shopping experience for a product I was genuinely excited to receive and gift to my partner.

My rating is for the customer service from Kimbo. I ordered this product on 22 July 26. I received it less than a week later from an Australian address (I mention this because some reviewers have said it comes directly from China - this was not my experience). The version I bought was the basic sharpener and the angled block. I tried Kimbo on a variety of knives, but while it did sharpen them, I didn't find it any better than my existing sharpener (Fiskar's ceramic sharpener). It was perfectly decent for cutting veggies but not as sharp to cut paper like they do on their videos which is what I was expecting. There were fine metal particles on the counter so it is doing something. I requested a refund and got a quick reply with an offer to keep the product, however I decided to proceed with the refund. I paid for postage to return it (about $12). After about three weeks I noticed on the Aus Post app that it had not been received and my refund had not been processed. Not sure if this was Aus Post or a Kimbo issue. However I emailed Kimbo and the full refund was processed immediately. Overall, there's not much to lose by trying Kimbo - especially if you have no other sharpeners at home because there is a money back guarantee. I'm only writing this lengthy review because some of the recent reviews do not reflect my experience.

had to pay return postage another $35. Then took about 2 weeks to get a partial refund and I had to correct them to get correct refund. They are not nice to deal with very dishonest. To top it off the item works average at best, I actually get a better, sharper knife by doing it the old way with a stone. So as you guessed I strongly do not recommend kimbo knife sharper.

there for five days now with no movement or further updates.

I've tried contacting them several times to find out what's going on but I just keep receiving useless automated AI responses that don't actually address the issue and send me around in circles. It's incredibly frustrating that I can't seem to speak to an actual person who can simply look into the problem and provide an update so at this point, I'm basically stuck in limbo.

No order, no useful customer service, and still stuck with blunt knives!

Absolute worst customer service ever. Sent multiple emails trying to follow up on my incomplete order. Received half my order. No response from Kimbo at all on their support email. chef for more than 20 years and knives are my bread and butter.. this knife sharpener is an absolutely joke…does nothing and less than nothing . They tell you to use it for 30seconds on each side but after I been rolling this gadget for more than 3minutes on each side there was absolutely no difference in the blade..I contacted the customer service they sent me instruction how to use their sharpener like I needed a graphic to be able to use it.. still nothing.. so had they have a policy of 90 days money back if not happy with product, I asked for refund. They told me that I had to take the item to post office, pay for the packaging and the shipping and once they received the return item it will take up to 3 to 4 weeks to process the refund and that probably at the end it will cost me more than the price of the item. So they offered me to keep this rubbish and they will refund me 40% of the purchase price. Its all a scam … they sell you an item that is useless at an inflated price to just refund u 40% of the original price.. counting on the fact that people have no time to go thru all the running around to post office and the waiting time and will probably accept the partial refund like I did. They are scammers and the whole thing is done to get u to buy an item that is rubbish for good amount of money and still make a profit by scamming people.. companies like this should need to penalised and not let them doing business online. Well they state Australian stock, false as was dispatched from China. When questioning this was told sold out. They state fast delivery, false 10 days later still in China despite them stating on day of order it was being packed. Clearly deceptive and dishonest marketing. I purchased the Kimbo to see what it was like, having tried a number of knife sharpeners as a home cook. The system is well made, looks great and to my surprise, actually works. I have tried a number of sharpeners to maintain a cutting edge on our expensive knives but it remained hopeless until I got the Kimbo Knife Sharpener. Once the blade was honed to either 15 or 20 degrees the cutting edge has remained sharp.............even after repeated butchery of chicken into pieces for our dog.
