Hard to hang clothes on, leave wet spots – This steamer is hard to hang clothes on for steaming and leaves wet spots on our clothing. Would not recommended, an iron and Ironing board takes half the time with much better results. Show details
After over 2yrs. Still going strong ! – I thought I’d hold off on this review. decent amount of water-approx 1.65litres. Comes with a few accessories to be used on different fabrics etc. It doesn’t do the sharp crease in pants like an iron but great to quickly “zip-zip” your garment for a crease free finish!
While shopping at a larger department store I noticed the steamer they were using. After asking about the brand, ease of use (that’s my no.1 attraction) etc the sales person told me of the Kmart steamer they have at home for a fraction of the price & works just a well at this expensive one they use at work! My sister swears by hers & now I have 3 people telling me me how great it is!
The only draw back is to doesn’t have wheels to move around from where I store it to where I actually need to use it (next to a PowerPoint)
The solution to this is a flat plant stand with wheel from Bunnings or Reject Shop. Measure the base so it you know what size to get. Then you can easily wheel it around to where ever you’d like to use it!
So if Kmart is listening- add wheels please! Other then that it’s a great product for that price you price you pay
Please dont waste your money on this one – Bought it because it was the cheapest steamer with decent reviews. Tried my best to iron cotton shirts with this, it did not do its job. The experience was worse than the cheap irons I have at home. Show details

really, really good. It heats up fast, and pushes the steam out nicely. While it doesn't do stubborn creases in the thicker fabrics like denim, it does 95% of what we wear. And it's much easier than ironing because each garment just sits on a hanger and you run the steamer head through it a few times. It couldn't be simpler. Word of warning: wear the provided glove for the first couple times - the steam burns. However, once you get used to keeping your hands in certain positions away from the head - it gets easy. We couldn't be happier. So far we've had it over 6 months with zero issues. A bigger water tank would be useful, but it is what it is. Keep a container close by if you want to give it more water quickly. Well done to the manufacturers.
Okay depending on what you are using it on – I bought this with the hope of cutting down on the hours I spend ironing each week, along with hoping it might make getting creases out of certain items easier. In terms of reducing time spent ironing each week, I'm not too sure its made a huge difference. You def have to go over areas a little bit to get out the creases. Also, it is MUCH easier and quicker to hang your clothes on the back of a chair, rather than hanging freely on the provided hanger. If you have a backing behind the clothing item (ie; chair), it will smooth out the creases much more effectively. This does make it a tad more fiddly, but still okay. How quickly it works also depends on the thickness of the fabric - I found thin cotton tops easy enough, but needed a bit patience with jumpers or other thicker items. I also used it on a flannel shirt, but found it was no easier or quicker than using the iron.
From a perspective of getting creases out of more difficult/fiddly clothing items, I did find the steamer really helpful!
Overall opinion... I do think for the price this is an okay steamer, but I def wonder if a more expensive one would be easier/quicker to use - I do remember the one we used at Diana Ferrari was amazing (& I'm sure it wasn't cheap). I will continue to use this for certain items, but will probably still use my iron for everything else.
I also should note that my steamer turns off and on a bit.. It will produce steam for about 20 seconds, then kind of pauses for 10 seconds before producing steam again. Bit annoying and not sure if its a fault, or just how it is.

Short circuited the power – I only had this steamer about 5 months before it started tripping the power in my home, rendering it useless. It was messy with the water, too. Water often pooled in the bottom of the reservoir and sometimes, if it didn't seal right, it would pool up and spill over and I'd have a big wet puddle to clean up. Show details
Fine until it short-circuited the house – I was happy with this steamer for the first year but then it started short-circuiting my apartment. Every powerpoint, and other appliances I had no problem with, I don't know if the water flooded the wiring at some point in the steamer, which is possible because it's very leaky, but anyway. Great steamer! – Im a bit shocked at the negative reviews on this steamer. This is the 3rd steamer I have owned and by far the best. It heats up quickly,produces a LOT of steam and comes with handy attachments. iron on prints etc with no need to turn inside out and steam really delicate fabrics that you could never iron. Its very stable,has different steam settings and is height adjustable. The last steamer I had cost over $200 and wasnt this good,for around the $50 mark,you really cant go wrong. Well done Kmart!
Very very average – This steamer works okay, works well on very thin clothing but if trying to steam iron a button up business style shirt I wouldn’t bother. It was missing parts in the box although it was fully sealed with no signs of being repackaged. Hose is hard to manoeuvre. I’d spend the extra money and get better quality. Not good at all! – I was thinking of replacing my traditional iron with the steamer, but after using the garment steamer from kmart, i'm very disappointed! It is not even close to what the traditional iron does. Yes, it helps to reduce the wrinkles a bit, but doesn't do anything near to what the iron does. Will surely be returning this. Show details
Great, a bit time consuming – Overall a great product, has good accessories to affix various clothing items. It’s just a bit slow and you have to wait in between gushes of steam. Still I prefer this over ironing. It’s nice and sturdy and should last. No staining or damage to clothing at all. I recommend this product. Show details
Works really well – Bought this in Dec 2017 and it has since replaced my iron. It takes about 10 minutes to warm up, but goes quickly after that. It works on every type of garment, even curtains. I was a bit wary of having this break down, but it has defied expectations and been steady and reliable. At $49 it's a steal.
