Kmart Scandi Desk

The timber veneer is too thin – I have two of these desks, they look and work well, but the veneer is so thin, that if you leave anything damp on the surface it will remove the veneer and expose the particle board, which then swells.

Cheap furniture that is well made – I recently purchased the Kmart Scandi Desk for work. The items was quite cheap at $39, so I was expecting it to be your typical cheap flat pack. The quality of the product is actually impressive. The legs, bolts, screws, brackets, hinges etc. were all of an excellent quality and the laminate wood chip pieces were all quite solid. When put together the piece was nice and light and Looked like it could have cost more than it did.

I've been using this furniture daily and have had no issues at all.

I would definitely buy furniture from Kmart again!
