Mine was a 1999 ES300. I bought it for $2500 with 6 months rego on it. Just before COVID lockdown started. I had this car for 3 years. I used to travel to Lithgow and Back to Western Sydney twice a week for about 8 months. I put on around 30k in 3… Read more

years on the car. Most of the miles added on when I started working in regional. During the 3 years this car never missed the beat. Hands down has been my most comfortable and reliable car that I have owned since coming to Australia. All that for just 2.5k was just crazy. The ride quality was heaps better than any Toyota of this age. And reliability is bulletproof. Cars just don't come like this anymore.

Make sure you find one that has been taken care of and it will last you forever.

Fuel economy was a bit on the thirsty side. But with the quietness and refinement of the V6 it didn't bother me much. Itl go whisper quiet once warmed up. Frameless doors also added to the cool factor.

Highly highly recommended.

Follow-up  · Answers for the follow up questions 1. Parking: some models come equipped with parking sensors it's a breeze then. Mine didn't have them but it was still relatively easy to park 2. Boot Space: Considering its a sedan the boot space is allright. You can't fold down the rear seats also so keep that in mind. There is only a small pass through… Read more

The Lexus ES300h is a well-balanced, luxurious midsize hybrid sedan offering very decent fuel economy and the reliability I need for my family with young children. A high-quality finish, very comfortable for both adults and the kids. They love the back seat ratio controls and heated back seat too. While it may not be a sporty sedan, it handles… Read more

surprisingly well for its size and provides a smooth, comfortable ride. I have yet to find any real faults with this car and will probably never buy another brand of car for the rest of my life. This is my 4th Lexus after taking a break and getting ripped off with a cheap Chinese car for a year. After that nightmare, this is a true pleasure.

Just perfection! – We bought the hybrid car when it had just under 100K and had driven almost 3 years – 55K kilometres – before we were rear-ended by a 90kms/hr motorcyclist who "didn't see us". It's a miracle he survived; unfortunately, our car didn't; it was a write-off. But enough about our misfortune, let's focus on the car. We both have a "heavy foot", but… Read more

the average fuel use never exceeded 6.3 litres/100 km. In terms of reliability, the car was perfect and apart from regular service, which was always done with Lexus, there were no hiccups; nothing. The sound system is amazing; everything is amazing about this car. It's also super comfortable. What's great about this particular model is that it has extendable sun visors, unlike the newer models, which will be sorely missed by us when we upgrade.

The car of choice – The Lexus is not our everyday commuter, it sits in the garage, especially since covid. The Lexus has done less than 5000km in the year of ownership. It is a dream to drive and boasts that it is one of the safest cars on the road.as the ES300 is a hybred we can get 800km per tank, this equates to approx 6L/100km. That's cheap motoring. Show details

Hybrid best decision ever made – This is a beautiful big roomy car. It is fuel efficient and very luxurious easy to drive and probably the nicest car I have ever owned. Serviced once a year and I have had no issues with it. Plenty of power when I need it. I bought this in 2019 and I think I’ll be sticking with it for many years to come. Show details

Love every moment of driving true luxury – I use the car for frequent small trips as well as weekend country drives. Everything is top quality and a lot of thought our into it. Unlike the European cars, the Sports Luxury vehicle are overseen by a Takumi Master. They go over the vehicle with a glove to make sure that everything is perfect. I saw this on YouTube and can vouch that everything… Read more

is exact. Lexus have amazing Customer Service and treat every owner and very special. I initially thought the service costs was relatively high but Lexus go out if their way to ensure you are driving a perfect vehicle. Small things like replacing wiper blades. Finding another screw for the number plate holder. Regluing the carpet at the door. All things that are small but make a difference. The power of the engine is great. I came from a 6 Cylinder and not disappointed. The car is totally silent. So quiet is the sound proofing that I can barely hear the horn. I get just over 5 litre per 100 km average economy so amazing. Seats are great. The sound system which is a premium one amazing. I use Apple Car Play and it integrates well. Lexus don't use fancy technology like BMW and Mercedes as they know if fails. Lexus build a car to last you a lifetime and I can ensure you my car is going to last me another 20 years. I am very fussy and I found my dream car and dream manufacturer. I did have a European car for 12 months before this but that was all smoke and mirrors. Looks good but full of trouble.

Amazing. Quality. Refined. Great Value. Beat any equivalent European car – Took delivery on Friday. It is an absolutely fantastic looking car where the seats are analine leather and superbly comfortable. Very roomy. Nice layout of dashboard. Great instrumentation. Very refined finish. Beautiful back seats. Lovely to drive. Very quiet. Attention to detail everywhere. Took the car today for a 160 km drive and overall very… Read more ·  2

A great head and heart compromise – I have had a Lexus ES300h Sports Luxury for 10 months. It's a nice car, long on luxury, excellent build quality, remarkable fuel economy, but difficult to understand where the "Sports" bit fits. It's a medium sized front wheel drive car designed in the USA and built in Japan for mainly US customers. A very capable car in the US, in their… Read more

driving conditions and excellent road system. Not so wonderful on Ausi indifferent roads. It provides an uninvolving driving experience with plough-on understeer easily achievable with any sort of urgent pushing. It can be driven quickly, but poise on the road fades quickly - many mediocre European cars are better integrated and more fun to drive.

I will keep it for 2-4 years, but it won'r be a car I will remember with great fondness.

Best bits - . comfortable and relaxed drive . high quality and luxurious interior . awesome in car music system . fuel economy

Not so much - . uninvolving drive . fiddly and unintuitive onboard computer/information system . no Apple CarPlay interface
