Lucas Oil Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer

DO NOT USE THIS DODGY OIL STABILIZER – IT DESTROYED MY ENGINE! This is a warning to anyone considering this oil stabilizer product. I purchased it to protect my engine, but it did the exact opposite. The product caused the oil to become excessively thick, restricting oil flow and leading to a spun conrod bearing, which completely seized my engine.

After the failure, I contacted the company and dealt with their so-called general manager, [Name Removed] – and let me tell you, he is as dodgy as they come. After weeks of going back and forth, we agreed they would send a technician to take an oil sample to determine the cause of the failure. I even agreed to pay for the test if it turned out the stabilizer wasn’t the cause.

However, when I asked for the technician’s credentials, [Name Removed] completely ignored my request. Weeks later, they finally sent someone – an auto electrician, who had no qualifications or ability to assess internal engine damage or oil viscosity issues. Completely incompetent for the task at hand.

This felt calculated. I believe [Name Removed] deliberately tried to dodge responsibility and manipulate the situation to avoid accountability. I will be attaching the so-called “report” from their unqualified electrician so you can see how they tried to cover it up.

I have now lodged a formal complaint with the ACCC and included all conversations between myself and [Name Removed] (aka “[Name Removed]”). Screenshots of our exchanges will also be posted with this review to show just how unprofessional and dishonest this company really is.

Avoid this product and company at all costs.

master mechanic 45 ys in that time 13 years high school automotive/welding teacher – AS A MASTER MECHANIC FOR 45 YEARS MY 1.5 CENTS OPINION ON LUCAS OIL TREATMENT IS...if you want your engine to last as long as possable....use it....after brake in of course..will help old engines to stop burning oil or slow it down alot..will almost make you small engines bullet proof....for over 20 years ive used 1 gal lucas to 2 gal of shell rotella 15/40 in my 5.9 and 6.3 cummins..plus i use the lucas fuel treatment in every fill up.as you all know diesel now is garbage..and tears up the top end...i use 1 qt of it in all my gas rigs..toyota highlander,polaris ranger (just a cup)...41 ply coupe...millions of big truck owners in the us/canada have used it for years..keep you from having majior brake downs prematurely...if your running in high heat..its a must....high rev...a must...hvy pulling..a must....just my 1.5 cents.....oh ive also been in the BUNDY BEAR family for a time!!!
