Effective – I have used aluminium free deodorant for many years and I'm always experimenting with different products. I have used some Moo Goo products over the years and decided to give their deodorant a try. I must say that it is very gentle on my sensitive arm pits and is very effective. There is only one downside which is why I gave it the 4 stars and that is that I've noticed that it leaves very prominent white stains on my clothing, even if it's been applied hours before.

No deodorising effect, left white marks on clothing – I've been making my own deodorants for years and have also tried a number of shop bought deodorants. My quest has been to find or make a product which doesn't contain nasties or ingredients that are known to clog underarm pores (ie: bicarb, corn starch), and that doesn't require refrigeration. Moo Goo deodorant is a thumbs down personally: for me it had no deodorising effect at all and left very obvious white marks on my clothing. I'm not a "sweater", so the fact that I could smell the bacteria breakdown within a short time after using the product was fairly telling - it plain wasn't working! Despite the good ingredients, I won't purchase this again, it was a waste of money for me.
Purchased in for $9.50.

I stocked up on a few of these, thinking I’d be a long-time user. I’m pretty disappointed with the deodorant as it leaves white marks on the skin and doesn’t smell at all. So, I’m not sure what the lemon myrtle or coconut cream fragrance is supposed to be. It also provides very little protection from your armpits smelling all day. Won’t be buying anymore deodorant. Surprisingly good. I expected something totally useless like the sukin spray deodorant that does absolutely nothing to stop smell. But this actually works quite well as a natural deodorant. I was finding it harder to get a hold of schmidts deodorant which I'd used for years, so tried this. This is similarly effective except doesn't have as strong… Read more
a scent. Lasts all day without need to reapply in winter (if I'm wearing natural fibre clothing) and a few hours in summer which is comparable with most natural deodorants I've had success with. I also like that you don't have to let your armpits dry completely before moving normally. In fact, if you left this dry completely, it dries white. But if you give it 10 seconds or so with your armpits airing out and then put your arms down, it dries without marks and doesn't leave you with a wet feeling.
I have been on the pursuit of a primarily natural product, that works. I truly hoped I could find an Australian brand, but no. Moo Goo REALLY works. I am a walker, and have thoroughly tested the Moo Goo. No stink, even 24 hours later. Show details

Wonderful for sensitive skin and very effective – I'd pretty much given up on deodorants because even those which promised to cater to sensitve skin left a red, fiercely irritated ring in their wake. In summer, without deodorant, I thought I smelled vaguely like ground coffee. I doubt anyone else could notice it and it was no big thing but not being coffee I didn't particularly want to smell… Read more
like coffee, so I tried MooGoo and I've been using it ever since - about 9 years, and without a moment's irritation.
I notice no smell at all from the product but it neutralises body odour as promised.
One thing to consider is that the product has a use-by date. I have had some issues in the past, and recently, where Moo Goo deodorant that has been too long on the shop shelf before I've bought it has basically solidified or dried up and been unusable. However it's also true that the roller is sometimes stuck and needs to be forced and/or rinsed with hot water to move it freely; the product beneath it is perfectly liquid and perfectly fine.
Concerning reaction blocked sweat glands – I was using this for about 4 weeks and it was starting to get low so I ordered 2 more as I was happy with it. It did leave some white marks but it seemed to work well for bo. But soon after I started getting painful lumps under my arms, first one, then the other, then the first armpit would get a lump in a different spot etc. There was no visible… Read more
redness but the lumps were very sore. I stopped using the moogoo deodorant for a few days and the lumps went away, started using it again and they came back. I did this twice to make sure that the moogoo was causing it. It’s like it blocks sweat glands but I can’t work out which ingredient is doing this? I generally like magnesium based deodorants (as this is) over bicarb ones as I get painful lumps and redness from bicarb, but not usually magnesium based ones. I now have two almost full bottles that I can’t use, I bought the extras to have a work and in my bag so I used them once or twice while I was trying to figure this reaction out. I love lots of other moogoo products so it’s disappointing. This also wasn’t a detox issue as I’ve been using natural deodorants for a few years now.
You Might As Well Try It – I was very skeptical about trying this deodorant as I've always been a heavy sweater and I stink badly. I thought it would be too weak. For several years I've been using clinical strength deodorant which I sweated straight through and still smelt sometimes so I thought it was likely this wouldn't work. I was wrong! I love it! I do sweat more on it… Read more
but I don't smell at all. Even when I'm not wearing it I've noticed my BO isn't as bad as when I used antiperspirant deodorant.
I put it on at night and by morning it's dry so I can get on with my day. If you absolutely HATE having wet armpits like me then you will be a little uncomfortable with this stuff as it does allow your body to sweat naturally however I've found it worth it because I have less smelly BO and feel healthier by not clogging up my pits with aluminium anymore. I didn't have that two week adjustment period they talk about, it worked straight away.
It's good to read reviews but truth 8s you won't know whether you like it or how it works for you unless you go out and buy it. Seriously, it's $8.50. Give it a go, it's the only way to know!
Positive reviews
Ideal no aluminium option – I have tried the lemon myrtle and the coconut versions but this is my preference. Works well, dries fast, gentle and lightly scented. I have tried many ‘natural’ deodorants but this is the one I come back to. Show details
Pleasantly surprised – I was a little hesitant after reading negative reviews about white marks however I haven’t had a problem. I pop it on just after a shower and by the time put my face cream and sunscreen on, I get dressed and no white marks. I’ve been going to the gym and have found it prevents odour well. I sweat a lot and while it doesn’t stop the sweat, it does… Read more
seem to stop the sweaty smell! The fragrance is subtle and doesn’t clash with perfume. Very happy with it.
The only aluminum free deodorant – I've been looking for the last 3 years for an aluminum-free deodorant that works and finally, after trying more than 10 other brands, I found it! I can walk 4 kilometres, go to the gym then mow the lawn and there isn't any odour. This is by far the best deodorant on the market! Show details
Negative reviews
I used the lemon myrtle for 3 months with no issue. I then used the sensitive for about 2 months and now have lumps under my right arm. They are the size of a pea and sore. Never have I had this reaction to a deodorant. I thought it was doing a pretty good job but will have to give it up unfortunately. Show details
Run away!!! I found my way here after searching developing lumps in my armpits. There are more reviews here saying the same. Painful to the touch, pea size lumps. I thought I was seeing the signs of Cancer. The stress it caused! I went to the doctor who recommended stop using the Moogoo. Within 2 weeks, most had gone and all finally went away… Read more
after about 3 weeks. Thankfully it was just from using this rubbish product. Moogoo, you should be ashamed that this product is still out there causing your customers undue suffering!!!

Would advise against! – Developed really painful and tender lumps under both armpits which cause me a lot of anxiety. Initially bought it as I am pregnant and wanted to use a natural deodorant however ended up costing me a lot of time and money paying for Drs appointments and wasting time worrying!! Show details

Developed painful lumps – Looking for an alternative to the regular deodorant anti perspirat in spray, as I was getting irritated skin. I found the moogoo brand and used I successfully for about 2 months, then I developed painful lumps in both armpits. Went to the GP thinking the worse and after an ultrasound was done, it got put down to blocked sweat glands... as soon as… Read more
I stopped using the moogoo the lumps went away. I did try the lemon myrtle one and the same thing happened.
This didn't work at all – I was working behind the bar in a pub. It was pretty hot and I applied this deodorant before I started my shift. 3 hours later I was already extremely stinky. It was really embarrassing. Because of course I didn't bring the deodorant to re-apply. Had to wash my armpits with soap and water and borrowed someone else's deodorant. But my shirt was already smelly and it was a very embarrassing night. Show details
Pleasantly surprised – I've been using Clinical strength for years, so I was surprised this worked for me. My tip is to use minimal amount of product. So happy, as I love all my Moogoo products. Show details
No stink and Great customer service – I've used a wide variety of deodorants, both with and without aluminum. MooGoo cream deodorant for me eliminates all smells and lasts all day. Purchase thru the MooGoo website and when my delivery went missing *(Aust. Post) MooGoo sent an express replacement. Great customer service. Show details
Wish I could have loved this – I use natural deodorants as I find most make my underarms go super dry and dark. I have been using crystal rock for some time but was nearly out so thought I would try moogoo i stead. I have used their moisturisers and face creams which i am happy with. However this deodorant didn’t stop any smells for me and I think it actually made it worst. I tried it for a good month hoping it would work but it just left white pilling on my armpits Show details
Didn't work – Unfortunately this Didn't work for me, I never get body odour with chemical deodorant but got it straight away with this, as did my daughter. I wouldn't say I'm particularly sweaty person either Show details
Doesn't work – I was really wanting to give natural deodorants a go so this is the first one I tried. Unfortunately it doesn't work, I still get Bo and felt I had to reapply multiple times a day. I also don't like the white residue it leaves which is quite unattractive especially if you want to wear sleeveless garments. What a shame. Show details
Natural product that works – I was given a sample box of MooGoo products which included their deodorant. I haven't used roll on deodorants for many years but thought I'd try it. The perfume is very subtle, it rolls on easily. It does take a long time to dry and will leave white marks if not careful. I found a light dusting of talc fixes that problem. For me, it works really… Read more
well. No odour, virtually no sweating, freshness lasts all day. I have bought it since and will continue to use it.

The only deodorant that works for me! – I have tried sooooo many different deodorants and this one is the best, it’s not thick and doesn’t leave a creamy residue, it eliminates all smells, lasts all day. It is honestly the best! Show details
The best aluminium-free deodorant I've tried – I've used a wide variety of deodorants, both with and without aluminium, the principal component of antiperspirants which clogs pores to stop sweating and may or may not be a health hazard. The jury is still out as far as I know. MooGoo Fresh Cream deodorant contains no aluminium so sweating will occur, though in my experience it's less than if… Read more
nothing had been used for several days. In any case it keeps me odour free.
It has a very light, pleasant fragrance which fades in the minutes after application, important to me as perfumes cause irritation to my sensitive skin. In fact any deodorant I use (this one included) has the potential to irritate if used too long so I skip a day here and there with no noticeable increase in body odour.
The only thing I'm not keen on is the small roll-on ball. At about 25mm in diameter I have to be careful not to catch hair in the gap between the ball and the container. I've used other deodorants with a 35mm ball with greater success.
Anyhow I'm very happy with the product. Good, natural ingredients instead of nasty chemicals with long names, and it works well to boot.
Very concerned! – I only use natural deodorants, not antipersperants, and am always concerned about the use of aluminium. I bought this product on an impulse as I had been very happy with the product I was using, but have historically loved the Moo Goo range of products. However after using this product for about 3-4 weeks I noticed that my underarms were suddenly… Read more
very painful and there were large welts under my arms! Of course I thought the worst, and so immediately went to the Dr. The fact that both underarms were affected the same way was a bit of a clue, and alleviated some concern. He suggested it was the product (I had already stopped using it) and within two days the welts had subsided... Phew! However this rings bells for me (as it did for my Dr!), these symptoms are common with ANTI PERSPERANTS (that block the pores) not deodorants, and I will no longer use this product - or trust that the list of ingredients is complete.
Great non smelling natural deodorant that works – I suddenly started getting itchiness and infection of my underarms last year. I decided to try a natural product such as moo goo and I haven’t looked back. It reduces sweating and I don’t smell at all. I like how it’s unscented and aluminium free. Very happy with this deodorant Show details
A natural deodorant that works – I've been using the natural deodorant from "A Bit Hippy" for a few months but it's not widely stocked. One day I couldn't find it anywhere and bought the MooGoo version as a last resort. I have to say, it's just as good. Looking at the main ingredients, they are quite similar (they both contain magnesium). They are the only natural deodorants… Read more
I've tried that actually work to prevent odour. Although they don't claim to be anti-perspirant, I do feel that I perspire less when I use them.
Downsides - they are slow to dry and can leave white marks on your clothes. But if you remember to shake them before application, they dry faster, and if you let them dry, they won't leave white marks.
Doesn't work. Leaves white marks – This product was disappointing. It take a long time to dry and once dried, it still leaves white marks on my clothes. Sadly, it doesn't actually work to prevent odour. It was a waste of money. Show details
Yay – So thankful to find Moogoo deodorant. Have tried every brand you can think of, supermarket and natural from online and health stores. Most are ineffective or make me itchy. I am sensitive to perfume but don’t want to smell like BO. I tried QV but it seemed useless. Then tried Moogoo. It has no fragrance and it stops BO. it is easy to apply with… Read more
roll on. (Unlike some other natural deodorants you apply from tin). Only reason not 5 stars is it can leave white marks on clothes but I apply it under shirt now rather than before putting on shirt and problem solved. I’ve just purchased another bottle for my preteen to use and am happy to give them something safe as they begin wearing deodorant
Have used this for over a year now – I found out about Moo Goo while recovering from skin cancer surgery on my mouth/face 12 months ago. I started out looking for moisturisers and discovered their roll on deodorant. I have not used roll on since I was a teenager (Mum brand deodorant I think it was!) and always used spray on deoderants because I tend to smell a bit stale on hot days… Read more
or at the end of the day so always felt I needed a strong smelling deodorant to keep the armpits under control! While buying Moo Goo moisturiser I decided to give their alumnium free deoderant a go. It has a very light scent and thought there was no way it would be effective but honestly, it not only works but it has completely changed my armpits! Yes they still sweat but they do not smell at all. I feel this deoderant has completely changed how my armpits work and the natural ingredients and perhaps also the no aluminium just allows my armpits to be healthy and odour free. 100 percent recommend. 12 months a Moo Goo girl, very happy! Their moisturisers are amazing too. Try anti aging SPF 15 and Soothing MSM and also their bubbly wash. They also have a 40 SPF zinc sunscreen and SPF lip balm.
Best I have found – This is the best non aluminium deodorant that I have tried, and I went through all the alternatives in the supermarkets. Many alternatives are highly perfumed, MooGoo is not. Expensive but worth it.
Best natural deodorant I've tried! – Finally an aluminium-free deodorant that works! I've tried several brands over the last few years and nothing has been effective. This even works on my teenage daughter who struggles to stay smelling fresh at the end of the day even when using an aluminium based product.
Was good - wondering what it done to my sweat glands – I loved this product for about 3 months. Then it started making me sweat ALOT. I mean soaked in sweat. My diet is the same. And I replace it often so it hadn't expired. I emailed moogoo to see if they had had any cases like that or it expired after a couple of months? No reply.
This actually works – This is a natural product without aluminium that actually works. I haven't found another one that works. The smell is nice and it really does what it says - it seems to kill/neutralise the bad smelling bacteria but not just mask the smell like other brands.
I'll give this a go – It's a great product. Only con is left white mark. Show details
