receive the delivery! The tracking number given does not exist. In the metro area, Nick's uses a company called Aramex for deliveries. O'h dear, have a look at Aramex on Product Review! I can see where the problem lies. Nick's have chosen a courier on price, not competency. I will continue to order my wines from Nick's as they use Australia Post for my location. I will need confirmation of a courier change to ever order again for metro area delivery. Nick's need to address this situation quickly, as their deservedly good reputation is being quickly eroded.
Fantastic communication – Ordered some special rum for Xmas presents on 9 Dec and arrived today. I followed this up several times with the team at Nicks Wine as was worried the rum had been lost by the couriers. They were always quick to respond and assure me the rum would make it before Xmas and even offered a refund plus $20 if the rum didn't arrive. Great service !
Terrible shipping – I bought 2x cases of Champagne (Charles Heidsieck) from Nicks and the manner in which they were shipped was disgusting. The bottles were removed from the cases and put in a standard, upright ,12 bottle box. The bottle cap was dented (view photo) and product leaked out onto my hand. I sent an email to fix this situation. I received an email (basically stating I'm a liar and the bottle is not leaking) just look at the levels on the Beltion bottles in the attached photo. I was offered a $10 refund as "a gesture of goodwill". Which we didn't accept, as once a bottle is opened it's second hand. Unfortunately, we decided to give these guys another chance (our mistake as incompetence will never remedy itself). We placed another order and a bottle arrives with a label so damaged we couldn't read it clearly (view Balcones whisky photo). This was a collectable for us, and $160.00, so not a cheap bottle of whisky. We tried to do the right thing by asking for a return shipping label and an exchange bottle, only to receive an email and a refund for $15.00 as a "gesture of goodwill". Clearly, our hand was forced, we had no choice but to lodge a PayPal dispute. PayPal obviously decided in our favour, which was the only outcome as per Australian Consumer Law. We received a full refund and got to keep the bottle, which still isn't right as we never got what we initially wanted. All we wanted was an undamaged bottle. This has left a very bad taste in our mouths. Australian Consumer Law protects Australians who make purchases in Australia, it's called Australian Consumer Guarantee. Never allow yourself to get bullied by incompetent unscrupulous people who have no business ethics let alone customer skills. I have emailed Nicks Wine Merchants and made it abundantly clear that we will never ever purchase a thing from them again. If they go out of business it's of no surprise. View the photos. Absolutely disgraceful. They should not be in business. As God is our witness, we will never ever ever purchase from you again Nicks Wine Merchants, and we will urge everyone we know to do likewise. We should have learned from the previous damaged leaking Beltion bottle that we were sent, to avoid you guys with a barge pole. This is the second time we got burnt. You will not get a third time, that is for certain. Our advice is document everything, know your rights, fight for them, pay via PayPal, and never give in to bullies. Always be honest and tell it exactly as it is. If we could we would give Nicks Wine Merchants a big zero because, as per our experience, this is exactly what they deserve.

No response to my email – Received a 1ltr JD Rye Whisky for my birthday. As a collector the bottle was greasy with stains I emailed requesting a replacement and received no correspondence in 5 months.

Lambs Navy rum & Myers dark rum – Ordered a couple of my fav boutique Carribean dark rums (Lambs Navy Dark Rum & Myers Dark Rum) which is not that available at the local bottle shops and was delivered in good order to my door in Brisbane suburb within 8 days. I thought the price was reasonable also and ordered from within Aus (Melb) instead of ordering from overseas as I previously have done. Will definetly order again from Nicks Wine Merchants.

How best e-commerce experience should be! – They are the most wonderful liquor and drinks in online space around Australia. One of the widest range around with good prices too. The listings are always true to what they say online and customer support is superb when you try to contact them.

Good selection and prices - Shipping is insanely slow – Have purchased from Nicks a few time when they have specials on and been no real issues . Great prices during specials and have a wide selection of Whisky . One order came damaged but I had purchased the shipping insurance so was refunded the cost . The only let down is the shipping is very slow from eastern states to WA . Compared to other sellers they can take up to 2-3 weeks longer to arrive .
Don’t order if it’s for a special day – They don’t advise if the product is in stock, they don’t let you know if it isn’t, the website doesn’t let you track the order. A next delivery will in all likelihood take 10 days and miss the day it was intended for.
Just some pretty great – Pros: Great selection, great prices, great deals, speedy delivery, and an easy to use, informative layout. Cons: None. They're a great business who provide great service. Nothing much more to it.

Excellent service and choice – I've been regularly buying from Nick's Merchant wines over a year now and very happy with the choice and service. They always deliver on time, the choice of South American wines and cognacs is good.
