Absolutely fantastic machine. I got the decarb bundle, as I wanted to make an infused coconut oil to help my dad sleep. As a complete newbie to make an infused oil I was nervous, but the process was so easy and simple. I could make the whole thing in the machine as I made a half batch. I started with decarbing the herb with the decarb function… Read more ·  1

and when that was done I just had to add the rest, put the oil function on and then it was done! The mesh strainer bags are easy to use and everything feels very good quality. It was easy to clean and put away. I made some in molds with the dropper for ease of eatting and put the rest in a glass jar. Definitely impressed with the machine .

I was very impressed with this machine. I call it my flux capacitor because, well, why not? I use coconut oil with legally-prescribed cannabis flower, and it produces a powerful green oil with a very mild flavour, easy to add to food or melt for dropper intake. I plan to make soups and try other recipes in it as well. I thought the machine's… Read more ·  1

price was a little high when I bought it, but it will soon pay for itself, as far less oil is needed to achieve the desired affect than smoking. The intermittant grinding noise is startling at first (if your kitchen is quiet) but you quickly get used to it, and then soon don't notice it.

I'm very happy I bought mine.

What a time to be alive! – Researching decarboxylator/infusers with an integrated AU power supply I arrived at three contenders around the same reasonable price. Each having its advantages and disadvantages, the Magicook Pro seemed to suit me best and has turned out to be pleasantly surprising. The competing Magical Butter Machine is popular and has good infusion capacity… Read more ·  1

but it doesn't have an integrated decarb function. An optional decarb box is available which goes in the oven. This is fine but a big attraction of these systems is the peace of mind that comes with pressing a couple of buttons and returning at leisure to find the process completed reliably and to preference.

The Australian Decarboxylator & Oil Infuser which is a rebranded Subada appliance will obviously perform both functions and appears to be a capable system. It can decarb 28g of botanicals at a time and has a 200ml infusion capacity. This might be a little on the low side depending how frequently you use the infusions.

The Magicook Pro also has a 28g decarb capacity. An oven decarb box with thermometer is optional for greater quantities. The minimum capacity for infusions is 300ml but it's fine to add water to the oil which effectively makes a smaller batch possible. Adding water can help extract some of the undesirable flavours in some botanicals and something like butter or coconut oil can be easily lifted from the surface after brief refrigeration.

The control panel is intuitive and editing the temperature and duration of the preset functions is easy and offers plenty of freedom to experiment. The lettering describing the buttons is a little difficult to read on the black background. Aesthetically the unit is not unattractive but I'd be happy to leave it next to the kettle permanently if it was a more cheerful colour.

The infusion function operates mixing blades which spin intermittently during the process. If this doesn't meet with your approval you can simply run the decarb function at the same duration and temperature as the infusion function: 70°C for 1 hour or whatever temperature you select up to 121°C for as long as 12 hours. This infuses silently without operating the mixing blades.

The process of decarboxylating and infusing can be completed without the level of olfactory pollution that stove top and slow cooker methods share with your suburb, inviting many new friends.

The various supplied accessories are convenient and of nice quality and so far I've been very satisfied with the product and also the support from Froothie with responding to my questions. A great choice.

So versatile – Ive used it to infuse vinegars, oils, tinctures, butters and make syrups. I made a cordial/syrup out of lilly pillies in my garden that was the most amazing tasting thing ever. It can be quite hard to find recipes and how other people use it, so its been a lot of trial and error. The control panel on the device can be a bit annoying to use. The… Read more ·  1

setting time and temperature doesnt save and you can only count upwards with the button, so if u go past the number ur after u have to go alll the way around again. I think thats the only aspect of the device that lets it down. Easy to clean for an adhd person. The decarb function is amazing and the temperature control is great. The machine really pulverises your herb to such a fine mass, its surprising how little you end up with after infusing. The accompanying equipments is sooooo handy for all my kitchen stuff. Im currently making skincare with herbal infused ingredients and look forward to making hot sauce. I am surprised the recipes and marketing for this product isnt pushed more. If I wasnt so riddled with adhd I would make youtube tutorials because it really is such a versatile tool. Like what the hell, get some marketing budget, people love home made things, there are countless recipes on pinterest that i refer to for ideas that dont use the device that I convert for use with it, and its like 10 times easier to do and clean up.

EXCELLENT APPLIANCE, EXCELLENT SERVICE! – Incredibly happy with this purchase and especially the individual service you receive from the moment you've ordered and you can even become a part of the Frothie FB family. Recipes and different methods of cooking are swapped and enjoyed by hundreds who've purchased this machine to the point where they sell out! Really is worth the money and if… Read more ·  1

you find it a bit expensive, maybe use one of the many buy now pay later programs but don't overextend yourself (that's just me talking as an ex bank manager) You don't get inundated with them but they really take their emails to individual customers seriously and really do want to hear back from you which is a 1st for me with email marketing (and of course customer care. The machine wasn't available immediately so we were compensated with three extra silicone moulds Which they didn't have to do but was very nice of them. You get great follow-up emails to see if you're happy with your appliance, if there's any problems that they can help you with and of course you get access to all of these wonderful recipes. I've been reviewing and reading other's reviews on here for a long time and Especially reading other people's reviews (as long as they're not given an incentive to review, I'll take the word of people on here over any Google reviews any day!) Go ahead and use this company, their service is second to none and they really do treat you as if you're the only customer they have and they have all the time in the world for you which I just found remarkable !

Thanks to all the team at Frothie for your wonderful service and outstanding product!

I'm not where I can do it now so will try and upload some photos and edit this review later on.

First impressions – First impression is disappointing. I’ve bought Frothie products for years and love them. I love the build and how compact the device is. I am disappointed with the instruction manual and recipe book. The instruction book is vague and doesn’t delve into aspects of what it can do very well. As someone starting out in this space of making my own… Read more

oils, butters tinctures etc I didn’t find the manual or youtube video very helpful as a guide to set me up for success and confidence. I am going to have to seek out groups and people who may have experience with this machine and have useful tips and information on how to get the best and most out of it. As I said this is my first impression and hope to get a lot more value and quality product from it as I chose this machine over one I really wanted but hesitated due to cost and warranty buying from overseas. If anyone reading this review can steer me to a group or site where there is great content to get the very best from this device and recipes etc I would be grateful. I am hoping to be able to come back to revisit this review and be more positive in the future.

Happy but a little confused on watch package I was getting – Okay I actually thought I was getting the model with the DeKobe box but I wasn’t, and I thought that the butter moulds would’ve been 125 g each but they’re not, they might be 112 g, other than that I love the product, it’s been fantastic. It was very easy, but obviously maybe I made a mistake and ordered the wrong package. So I would take responsibility for that but the process was very smooth and I thank you very much. Show reply
