When working that device is everything I want and more. However it has been not working, more than it has been working since we got it. Straight away we needed a new camera which I see this seems to be a trend with a lot of the other reviews I’ve read. After that it stopped charging and had to be plugged into power all the time and then after that… Read more
it would shut down when we would plug it into power but wouldn’t hold charge so the only way it would work would be that we had to take the battery out and plug it into power so the monitor screen was no longer portable. After speaking to oricom they sent us out another battery and this did not fix the issue. It continued to shut down and not charge. Shortly after this, there was a massive glitch and a green screen appeared on the device. Following this issue, the monitor then disconnected from the cameras. Fed up with all these issues I contacted Oricom again and asked for a refund to which they told me I needed to send the whole device back to them and be left with no camera or device to monitor my child. I explained to them that this hardly seems fair that I be out of pocket and out of a monitor for this time with no way to monitor my child's sleep safely. This has had a massive impact on our day to day activities and ability to sleep peacefully. I also mentioned that I do live rurally so essentially it was not going to be a quick process for me to post the camera back for them to review it and then decide what was going to be done. After reading lots of reviews I see there has been lots of similar difficulties with other units so clearly quality needs to be refined. The device falls short of all that it could and should be.
I should say that when functional the range was good and the quality was good and being able to connect to the phone is extremely handy.
Some issues but Oricom very helpful – We have had some issues with the baby camera, the charging cord broke at the connection point after 12 months, but Oricom happily replaced us with 2 new ones. And the parent unit just after 2 years could no longer be heard, the sound wasn’t coming through the parent unit, (it still came through on the app) but Oricom where amazing and are sending… Read more · 1
us a replacement parent unit as the device is less then 6 months outside of its warranty. So despite having a few issue, we’ve been impressed with replacements. The camera and parent unit when working, are amazing.
Good camera – I was happy with the product. The parent unit is a bit slow though. After 8 months of using it, the camera stopped to work, but the amazing support service have sent me a replacement after only 2 days. Show reply
Not been able to test as faulty camera straight out of the box – Have just taken the monitor out of the box only to find the camera will not pair with the parent unit or the app on my phone, have called customer service who are going to send out a replacement camera. super frustrating as have waited a week for it to be delivered only to now have to wait again. Will then have to go out of my way to send back the faulty monitor. Expected more from a baby monitor this pricey. Show details
It works, but not smoothly – It works (unlike Vtech). The picture is decent. the battery life is good. Unfortunately the touch screen interface is super laggy and frustrating. It's also quiet. If your in another room to the parent unit, you may not hear it. Also note: if you buy an extra camera for $199 it doesn't come with a wall mount. They want another $39 for that. It's a basic plastic affair. Most monitors have a hole in the back, this has a screw in mount socket. Show details

Amazing quality and features. Everything you need in one monitor – Easy to set up and the mount makes it very flexible as to location. The zoom and movement through the monitor makes it easy to see my baby where ever she is in her cot. Show details · 1
All in one baby monitor – This is our third Oricom monitor. Yet again I can not fault this brand. I love that we are able to have the monitor and still set the app up on our phones. The quality of picture is great. I also love the movement option on the monitor especially when bubs moves in her sleep. Show details · 1
Ask to use before purchase. Not great – I found this product extremely hard to use. You couldn’t have the screen come on for motion detect, at night it was just a audio not camera unless you left the camera on all night - which left the monitor light on all night (quite bright in a room). The touch screen was awful. Had to swipe multiple times before it did what I wanted it to do. The… Read more
App, was alright - not all of it is free. The app wanted a yearly fee of $74 to gain all benefits of the app. I called customer support to help address these issues and I could hear the person grumbling with what I was saying. After a 20min phone call I was told the person would have to call IT department as they didn’t know the answer to the question. I took the monitor back after 1 night and swapped for another brand as I was extremely disappointed with the product especially for the price I spent.
