decent monitor – Purchased this monitor 1.5 years ago. Image isn’t fantastic, but I knew that it wouldn’t be & I love that it’s not connected to wifi. Able to play songs ect. Overall terrible after a few months. Not worth price at all – Got recommended multiple times the Oricom 720 but now don't know why. It's been a horrible unit that I'm looking forward to replace after nearly 2 years. The design is cheap and terrible. 10.months. barely lasts more than 2hrs now. The buttons wear away after 1 year. Night vision is horrible like others have said. You can make our general shapes but that's about it. Day vision is ok but nothing special. Sound quality is good I'll give it that. Range is decent but drops and crackles at more than 10m. Between upstairs and downstairs works fine. Overall don't bother. This is a $100 worth unit but retails around $220. No where near worth that price. Spend a bit more on something better so you can actually see your child at night and not need to charge the battery ever few hours.

Our main frustrations with the monitor: - Monitor unexpectedly turns on and makes a loud BEEPING noise. This happens frequently (every day at least 10+ times!). At first I thought it was potentially due to the range but this issue happens even when I am sitting right outside the room. When it turns on we have to then try and figure out whether its baby moving or whether something has happened but almost every time it's nothing, baby is still fast asleep. We have now had to basically mute the monitor (which defeats the purpose of this function) so that the beeping doesn't shock us or wake the baby. - There is a lag in alerting us if baby is crying. We can hear him crying well before the monitor turns on to alert us of this. - There will randomly be an error that keeps coming up on monitor stopping the footage from coming up.

Even after a replacement camera unit was sent the issue still occurs. You can imagine how frustrating it is when you're sleeping and the parent unit just randomly beeps or switches on for no apparent reason.

We would not recommend this model at all. Previous models seem to have less issues.

Good until it isn't – I have been using this camera for 8 months. For a short period of time I was very happy with it, so happy that I even purchased my brother one. the camera turns off when there are no inconsistent noises and on when she wakes and makes noise We loved being able to adjust the sound sensitivity Battery life is ok, not great but ok. Audio quality is good.

Cons Pic quality on Zoom is terrible - not that we use this all that often The little stand on the back easily breaks (easily fixable) but still annoying Some people may not be happy with pic quality - it's fine for us but have seen better. The biggest issue we have had is that the camera unexpectedly turns on OFTEN. Like 10 times a day. We have the sensitivity turned down as we live in a small unit and can hear our baby when she cries out. So when the camera constantly turns on it sends us into high alert. And it's worse when this happens at night time as it wakes us up! We've had to turn it off at night. The other issue we had was the customer service - when I contacted them they said (and I quote) 'you need to keep your mobile away from the camera as this could interfere with the camera'. This is so impractical. And when I explained that the camera comes on unexpectedly even when my mobile was not nearby, she said 'I am not able to suggest anything more than I have mentioned'. Gee thanks. She offered to have my camera looked at, but this is ridiculous because I'd be without a camera. Honestly, their customer service has been SHOCKING to say the least.

Can't comment on Range - we live in a small unit so we haven't tested this, although if the issues we are experiencing is because of range this would be a HUGE downfall for most as our unit is very small and would mean that the cameras range is terrible. Lullabies/white noise/voice - we haven't used this

Purchased Today - want a refund – I just purchased this monitor today and set it up. I have no idea if I'm doing something wrong but I've read the manual and can't get it to stay on a video feed. Also the camera can only be moved up and down not side to side when mounting it, this makes it hard for me to get a good angle. I had a vtech which was perfect for what I needed but it had errors due to wifi issues and had to be returned. All I want is a baby monitor that I can see my baby! Why is it so hard to get a monitor that works? I have contacted Oricom about this issue and if it is the case that the button needs to be pressed all the time to see anything I'll be returning the camera to baby bunting for a refund.

Good monitor except for a few design flaws – This monitor works well with all functions except the charging. Another complication is that to charge the parent unit in the cradle, you need to push the clip/desk stand in and down (hard) to lock it in, even though it looks at first like it won't fit and that pushing it will break it. I didn't do this initially, which meant that it didn't charge one night, which combined with the other two issues to mean that we didn't hear my child wake until his screams woke us up through the house hours after he'd normally wake us (even though the monitor was still actually on, just with a low battery). No idea how long he'd been crying for. Firstly, the monitor was in the cradle so I thought it was charging (but the clip stopped it. I now know how to avoid this), secondly, I'd made assumptions that it would alert me with a sound if battery was low (like my previous monitor), and that it would still work with low battery anyway (also like my previous monitor). I could still activate the screen to view my son and it appeared to be on...how can it just not alert me of his cries?? Disappointing design.
