Rebuild Relief

Staff were very helpfull but was a very long process (over 10 months) to get the claim settled. Still have to get the work done on the roof which could be upto another 10 months. So far so good but takes a while.

I am in Tinana in QLD and insured with QBE insurance, Jane from Rebuild Relief handled our claim with QBE from start, to payment of claim. She was always courteous and helpful and mèssaged updates and ongoing reports on time. I would highly recommend Jane if you are going through this process,

In a surprisingly short time Jaimee was able to negotiate a settlement which included not only a comprehensive repair of the hail damaged roof and repair of the ceiling damage but also repair of the shed. cover building costs from my insurer. They organised a far higher payout figure that was more realistic to fix the damage on my roof. They organised a building scope from the builders they use and which I have decided to use- Auscoast Builders (I have checked their reviews). I have just received the higher payout. Soon will have the roof repaired after a major hailstorm in January in Glen Innes. Time frame is anywhere from the next 2 to 6 months, which is understandable as many damaged homes. I cannot praise Nicholas more highly. He is very professional and proactive and kept me informed every step of the way. Originally the solar system was not included, but Nicholas arranged for a specialist test and report of all the rooftop solar panels which proved they were damaged, and they now are included in the settlement. Eventually, Nicholas escalated my case to AFCA - the Australian Financial Complaints Authority - and my insurer ultimately agreed to a settlement. My home will now receive a new roof and solar system and I could not be happier or more relieved. It has been a long and stressful process and I'm very grateful to Nicholas for this successful outcome. I will be recommending Rebuild Relief to my friends and family in the future.

Terrible. Please do not go with these people. My experience has been horrendous. They (AusCoast who are also rebuild relief) made decisions without consultation or me knowing or understanding the full details despite being told ‘you won’t pay extra outside of what your insurance has paid’. No quotes for extra work - just did it without any consultation with me. No variations submitted prior. People they ‘subcontracted’ to do the work (not AusCoast) were awful, inexperienced and unprofessional. Multiple complaints from neighbours about swearing, throwing rubbish on the street etc. Not to mention the 15 apprentices with no experience overseeing them and stuffing it up. AusCoast told me not to communicate with them - but getting a return phone call was like pulling teeth. Roof was ‘finalised’ in mid 2024, final bill paid accordingly and on time. ‘Variation’ after stuffing it up and no consulting was submitted by rebuild relief in June 2025!!!! This has now been declined. Now I’m receiving extra bills - 2 years after this process started!!!!!. Very upset and anxiety provoking for a single parent who was getting their roof fixed under the premises that ‘rebuild relief’ - same company, different trading name - would ‘mange this with no extra cost’ outside of what was provided by insurance. Made decisions and did extra work without prior variations. It was ‘all good - won’t be a problem’ - and then heard nothing from them for almost 12 months. I cannot stress how distressing and a highly traumatic experience this has been from AusCoast and Rebuild Relief. I expect any favourable reviews are fake. I will be going to fair trading. 2 years later and I just want these people to exit my life.

Emily G took care of all the negotiations with the insurance company related to the hail damaged solar panels and insulation. It's been a long drawn out battle with the insurance company whom I honestly cannot recommend to any one. They tried to block every claim related to the hail damaged roof, solar panels and insulation but thanks to Emily and Rebuild Relief it all went through. Do not sign with Rebuild Relief. They lock you into a contract with Claims Co and take up to 19% of your insurance payout for doing very little. The outcome for us was terrible. We felt pressured into accepting a low insurance settlement, which only benefited them by reducing the amount they had to work for while still taking their percentage. … Read more

Very disappointed with the service and overall experience. I would strongly recommend reading every contract carefully and seeking independent advice before signing anything.

DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS!!! 12 months on and my parents have a roof that is now in worse condition than it was after hail damage. responsibility is put onto the homeowners even tho verbally Auscoast accept responsibility. Parents had to have solar panels removed (and replaced) however due to the condition of the roof, have gone 12 months without solar power. As far as I'm concerned, not only are they scammers and full of sh÷×, but their actions equate to elderly abuse with them trying to take advantage of those who have worked bloody hard to have what they do.

Wasted our time. Got an insurance payout offer that was less than half there builder quoted then said they can’t do our job They then wanted around $8k from me Stay away we received incompetent service from them

I used Rebuild Relief because I’m incredibly short of time and knew I’d never get around to claiming for my hail damage. Rebuild Relief handled the entire Process, from assessment to lodging the claim, to organising settlement and builders. They kept me informed the whole time and Ryan was extremely professional and helpful at every stage. It’s all been organised with almost no input of my time. A fantastic service.

Fantastic assistance in getting the claim sorted with the insurance company. They worked through the process of sorting out an error with the payment amount to ensure the settlement figure was correct. They were gave clear information and instructions along the way.

Sapphire @ ClaimsCo was very helpful with our roof repair claim; she handled everything to do with our insurance company that I would have struggled with for the amount of time it took for my insurance company to approve my claim.

The repairs on my property were carried out efficiently and as expeditiously as man power and materials were available. Riley helped greatly keeping things on track and keeping me advised of progress. A task missed in the original survey was dealt with smoothly, as were the ragends of the job, the last niggling details. This is the second time in 3 years that the job was needed. I have found the service to be exceptional. My claims person was Jen and she was highly proficient and switched on in maintain contact with myself but also with a review process with my insurer. Would highly recommend Melvin went above and beyond to achieve the best outcome. Always,felt he had my best interest at heart and communication was exceptional i was never left in the dark or wondering .

At first I wasnt sure how the process would work out but we got a great result from our claim. The process took a while, like most insurance claims but everything was explained in detail when questions were raised.
