Redsbaby ONIX Pram

This is my first pram. I bought it because of feedback from friends and also after reviewing it at a baby expo. The pram is everything that the company describes it to be. Easy to manoeuvre and easy to close and open. Very happy with my purchase.
The pram is really good quality and heavy duty. It is great on bumpy roads and different terrain. We've taken it on gravel, on dirt with pavers, on wooden slats and it's been fine. However, for outings with smoother surfaces it's a big thing to transport around and we'd recommend something more light weight such as the Skip, especially as it can… Read more
take up the whole boot space and a smaller model won't do that. Our baby always looks super comfortable in the pram, though we have only had her in the bassinet part.
Highly amazing pram … lightweight great looks Under this range of 1100 dollors got a bassinet and a big baby pram fixture Value for price Looks premium Highly recommend Show details

Obsessed with the colour and how easy it is to fold and unfold!
I recently got the ONIX pram for my 6month old we have never had a pram before - I did lots of research beforehand and ended up choosing this pram for features such as being easy to fold up, has parent facing and world facing options and has larger wheels. This pram has exceeded my expectations it drives so smoothly, is super easy to fold once you get the hang of it and my daughter seems to enjoy it (most of the time IYKYK) haha. Show details
After so much research on prams that I can easily close this was by far the easiest without being a travel pram. Love the colour as well so cute. Cat approved Show details
We are super happy with our Redsbaby Onix. Folds down all one handed, Easy and stress free. In comparison to top market brands this is a wonderful choice for a lot smaller price!! Large under basket. Convenient and easy storage. We love it! Show details
I’m so glad I went with the Onix pram! It’s super easy to set up and pack down, the basket underneath fits so much, and honestly the price is amazing for what you get.
I’m loving the Onix, this is my 5th baby and I’ve had many different prams over the years…this is by far my favourite. Easy to fold, extendable handle and so smooth to push, I absolutely love it and have recommended it to many friends. Show details

Great lightweight pram. Nice and safe and secure. I have the bassinet as well which I'd very much recommend for the first 6 months to help shelter your bubba from the elements and keep them safe. It is bulky in the car as folding it down just isn't time-effective in real life. But I love my pram and would def recommend. Show details
Love the ONIX, and so does my son! Got the green colourway with the bassinet - he instantly falls asleep in it. Does great on all terrain, we’ve taken it on pavement, dirt, grass, rocks, gravel. Easy to fold away into the car & has a decent sized basket. Very happy with the pram overall! Show details
I love it, light, compact easy fold i cant wait to use it when bub arrives my 5 year old daughter is already calling dibs on pushing bub around Show details

The worst pram I have ever used, not practical and not functional. Unfortunately this pram turned out to be a bad decision. It’s bulky, hard to open and pack up (has caused injury by crushing my finger in it when closing) it is dirty at the top as… Read more
when it closes up the wheels go inside where the fabric on the hood is. It requires too hands and a lot of energy. Do not get if you have had a c section as way to hard to use. I wanted to love this pram - but hated it Previously I had a babybee and I should have bought that again, way more user friendly. I had the whole pram replaced as I thought I had a bad one as it was so hard to use. Didn’t make a huge difference unfortunately. Customer service is good, but it doesn’t fix a bad product.
Follow-up · Pram has gotten worse with brake and is basically not functional at all. The brake is so rigid that it takes all my strength to try and put it on and take off. The fact I have had a replacement body and still have the issue means this is an issue with the pram itself and not with my one.
Absolutely love the pram. The quick fold is very easy, makes setting up and packing down the pram a breeze. Pram is easy to push and steer, even one handed. Pram is light enough to lift into the car one handed and it only takes up a fraction of the boot. Show details
Follow-up · The recline is super easy and one hand adjustment. Storage basket space I can fit my nappy bag and another grocery bag of shopping, for a compact bag it's quiet good. The canopy coverage is great, it goes down a long way and only my babies feet aren't covered. I also got the sunshade extension as well, with this on the canopy wraps over the foot rest of the pram.
Really happy with this pram. Looks really nice and love that the seats folds with the pram. Fits well in my small boot. My baby fits perfectly and sleeps better than in her bassinet. Most importantly fantastic customer service and support. I had an… Read more
issue and they were so quick to resolve it. Best I’ve had from any company I’ve reached out too. Only issue is sometimes the fold isn’t as smooth as they claim and takes a while to fold correctly and the pram feels less smooth now we have used it for 6 months. Overall would purchase again
Follow-up · The stitching at the back started to come undone so they replaced the chair completely free of cost. She just feels secure in the pram and being able to rock her supports her sleep. The fold can be smooth but I just don’t think it’s as smooth as they make it out to be. Sometimes works perfectly other times the chair needs a bit more of a push to go down.

Really disappointed in the onix pram. I have just used it for the first time. I used to have a metro 3 which was excellent. By comparison I feel they’ve put all their energy into perfecting the quick fold and not into actually making a comfortable, functional pram. I got the premium twill version as I didn’t like the cheap looking grey underside… Read more
of the other colours. But the twill fabric on the pram hood / shade cover feels cheap and wouldn’t be waterproof compared to the sturdy canvas feeling fabric of the metro. The foot brake is also a bad design, it hurts my foot to unlock it and I end up having to bend down and do it with my hand. The seat looks like the child is perching rather than comfortably nestled into a nice pram. My 18 month year old is not a tall toddler but already he looks like he’s hitting the roof of the pram and his legs dangle off the end despite it saying it’s good for tall toddlers. The basket is shallow and holds hardly anything. It’s super heavy and awkward to lift, and has a weird pole and strap sticking out the front which drags along the ground and has no function. I wish I hadn’t used it outside because I would 100% be returning via their great returns policy. I didn’t even think to test it inside because I had so much trust in redsbaby.

I can honestly say the Redsbaby ONIX has made life with my little one so much easier. From day one I’ve loved how smooth it is to push — it glides effortlessly, even when I’m steering one-handed while juggling coffee in the other. The fold is a dream. I can collapse it in seconds, seat still attached, and get it into the boot without a wrestling… Read more
match (a small miracle when you’re running on no sleep).
The canopy is one of my favourite features — huge coverage with mesh panels for airflow, which has been a lifesaver in the Aussie sun. My baby stays cool and shaded, and I feel much more relaxed knowing she’s protected. The seat is comfy and roomy, and I like that I can have her facing me when she’s little or facing out when she wants to explore.
The basket is generous too — I can fit groceries, nappy bag, and still have room for my toddler’s random treasures. It’s become my secret weapon for quick shopping trips.
If I had to nitpick, it’s not the lightest pram out there, but the sturdiness is worth it. I’d rather have the solid wheels and suspension that can handle uneven footpaths than shave off a kilo or two.
Overall, the ONIX has ticked every box for me: stylish, practical, comfortable for bub, and stress-free for me. I actually look forward to walks now, and that says it all.
I love our onix reds baby pram so much. I had my last baby 7 years ago and have never had a pram that I absolutely love with my older children. Either the fold wasn’t right or there was some other aspect of the pram that I didn’t quite like. Fast forward to our 4th baby and I invested in a reds baby onix after watching videos about it. girl arrived 4 weeks ago and I have been using the onix with the capsule. It is an absolute dream. It is easy to put up and click in the capsule. The handling of the pram is so incredibly smooth and the steering on it feels really nice when pushing, even on gravel. The pack up of the pram is so smooth and easy; it is the quickest pram I’ve ever used to put away (I’ve owned 5 prams in my parenting journey). I really like the buttons that you press individually when folding the pram instead of having to press two at the same time on other brand prams. The basket in the bottom had plenty of storage. I love everything about the pram… I can tell that redsbaby have put so much thought into this pram and designing the pram around making life easier for parents when out and about. When it comes time to use the seat it looks great and I really like that the seat stays attached to the frame during setup and pack up. Can’t recommend the onix enough!

We had a Jive 3 with our first baby and loved it, but we decided to upgrade for our new baby. This pram is lightweight, easy to fold, and what really sold us was that it can be folded with the seat still attached. We’re looking forward to getting out and about and putting it to good use! Great experience. I bought ONIX online and got a broken piece in my parcel, but they replaced it very quickly, within a week. We haven’t really used the pram as we’re still in the 3rd trimester, but everything was pretty easy to assemble and try. Show details
I’m a first time mum and was looking for a pram that would essentially be easy to fold up and down when I’m by myself. My husband and I tested the Onix at a baby expo and loved it as soon as we started playing with it. It’s the perfect pram that doesn’t take up too much space, fits in my car easily, has plenty of storage in the basket below, lots… Read more
of attachments you can add on (we’ve already used the rain cover, drink holder and accessory bag and loved them), and is easy to fold up or down especially when you’re in a hurry. We also got the platinum colour because although it just looks like a plain black in some photos, in person you can really see the difference between a typical black pram and one made out of high quality luxurious material. Highly recommend! :)

Negative reviews
I’m extremely disappointed with my Onix Redsbaby pram. For a product that costs over $1,000, I expected premium quality and reliability. Unfortunately, this pram has been defective since day one. The folding mechanism does not function properly — it constantly gets stuck and often requires excessive force to close. This is incredibly… Read more
frustrating, especially when you’re out and need to fold it quickly. In addition, the handlebar wobbles, which makes the pram feel unstable and poorly constructed.
What has been even more disappointing is the lack of accountability from Redsbaby in resolving these issues. Despite raising the concerns, there has been no satisfactory solution offered, and the problems remain unresolved. For a brand positioned as premium, I expected better after-sales support and responsibility for a product that was faulty from the start.
At this price point, this level of quality and customer service is unacceptable. I would not recommend this model based on my experience.

I wanted to love this pram. Unfortunately very shortly (3/4 months after purchase) the cracks started to show. The first thing I noticed from a few weeks was th paint of the frame started to chip off, I was searching what could’ve caused this but I still to this day have no idea as I have a pram now with no such issue and was A LOT cheaper. This… Read more
I wasn’t to concerned about as i had never had a pram and thought maybe that’s what they all did in time. Then when I had the adapters for the capsule on the pram and tried to fold it with one hand I couldn’t do it, and I would have to shake it to get it to fold. Again I wasn’t to concerned by this point but was a little sold on he idea of putting away one handed. 3rd was that they breaks broke… like completely off. At this point I was like… what is going on haha. So obviously I sent an email to them and told them all this stuff. I got a reply in like 3 days! Then it took a few more emails back and forth and I was without a pram for a while (1 weeks maybe more) Then when the new FRAME not pram came I had to put all the stuff back from the old pram to the new pram so all the wheels and th basket and everything… again it was kind of fine but you would think after only 3/4 months of owning this not so cheap pram they would’ve sent a whole new one to make a first time mum’s life easier. THEN the front wheels wouldn’t clip into place and the button stopped working. Hahahah. It’s actually comical how bad this pram was. I hope mine was just a rarity but I actually can’t believe how bad it was. Then trying to get a refund…. I was like you know what just I’ll send it all back but again it took them 4 days to respond and to get a manager to ok a refund. The manager was on holiday so they had to wait a week… it actually took the p*ss. Finally I got a refund after countless times requesting one and already sending back the whole thing. I know have a Joie travel pram that I bought for $350 that is. SOOOOO MUCH BETTER than this model. Fingers crossed that I just had the worst one made and no one else has these issues. If your a new mum and want to spend your money on something good, just go a model that already has had a few kinks worked out… maybe they’ll make an onix 2 with all these issues resolved?

I did so much research before purchasing the Onix, and knew going into it that the brake was not very user friendly. I thought maybe this would just be a minor inconvenience but it has turned into a pretty big deal and I hope that Redsbaby do take this into consideration in future. It’s too stiff of a brake to use with open toed shoes, and, for… Read more
the same reason, your closed toe shoes get scuffed really easily on it as well.
The pram is also not the smoothest ride despite having the larger wheels and being marketed as all terrain. I live in the suburbs and use the pram on footpaths mainly, with the occasional grass or gravel terrain. Even just on the footpath though, the front wheels are constantly getting stuck in very minor bumps and cracks.
Although there is so much I like about the pram (great canopy, small fold, decent sized basket), I would not buy this pram again unless these issues were addressed.

Amazing pram, easy to use, great quality, the basket size is fantastic, the bassinet sits at the perfect height. The only negative is the baby/ toddler seat is a little low Show details
Absolutely love this pram! We went to the baby expo and tried out all the prams and loved how easily maneuverable the Redsbaby ONIX pram is. It took us a few times to play around, opening and closing the pram, but it's quite easy once you get the hang of it. Our baby is due in December so we are keen to have a pram with the breathable mesh. The… Read more
value for money of the bundle (we got the pram, bassinet and capsule) is really great. We look forward to using the pram with a baby in it!
Dear Redsbaby ONIX, thanks for making me look like I've got parenting under control. Smooth to push, easy to fold, and stylish enough to turn heads. My baby naps happily, I stroll happily, and everyone wins. Best baby purchase we've made!
I love how easy this pram is to fold one handed with the seat on, and that the bassinet is easy to pop on and off. The size is great, doesn't feel heavy and hard to maneuver compared to others I tried. Overall I can't fault it.
We recently purchased the Redsbaby ONIX pram for our first baby, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The quality is outstanding, especially for the price. We looked at several other prams in a similar price range, but none of them felt as premium or well-built as the ONIX. The feature that really sold us was how incredibly easy it is to… Read more
fold down. Since buying it, we've also been pleasantly surprised by how smooth it is to push, how sturdy it feels, and how thoughtfully it's been designed.
We're so excited to use it when our first little one arrives later this year. If you're looking for a high-quality pram that offers fantastic value for money, I'd definitely recommend the Redsbaby ONIX.
