Ridgeback Pro Car Vacuum & Blower

Fantastic product. Small enough to hide in my car yet powerful enough to clean the beast. The blower is the best function. Only issue is the battery life is short at about 20-30 mins at full power. Does its intended job, but also great for dusting the house around hard to get to places such as t.v stand and shelves. Also the blow feature has been amazing for cleaning our computer fans and other electrical appliances. It comes with a spare filter so you can blow the used one out while using the spare and simply rotate them. Happy customer. Show reply

blower also has great power and I was able to clean my dash and around all the knobs and joins. I had fun in the house blowing computer keyboards, cords, shelves etc. It is supereasy to vacuum up stray bird seed that bounces out of our birds cage all day.

It's very easy to open and empty contents of dustbin, and a little tap of the filter lifted most of the dust out. It comes in a great little carry case to keep it altogether. Battery hasn't gone flat yet, even after all the use it's had since I received it a few days ago.

The only negative comment I have is that delivery took a little longer than we are used to these days. I queried this via email at the time and received a very quick response.

Delivery is very slow. Appears all orders are sourced from China. Ordered on 19/07 and still waiting as at 4/08. Ridgeback indicate 7 days delivery. Need to be patient I guess since I am really looking forward to using this vacuum which appears to be a quality product.

Had a problem of Vacuum Cleaner not holding a charge. Contacted Customer Services and a replacement was sorted asap. Would totally recommend this company and their product. Thanks for your assistance and prompt replies to my emails Lucy. Show details ·  1

happy with many purchases at all so was astounded to say the least when I stumbled across this bad boy! But now purchasing another for the house so I can leave other in the car. Great for window sills and exhaust fans and EVERYTHING. Thank you again everyone at Ridgeback!!!

Honestly I was really impressed with this little guy it has power to boot & comes with extra attachments for tight spots. I use it to clean the inside of my car & I have small short haired dog that leaves lots of little white hairs in the carpet & they get zapped up by this little hand held vacuum cleaner. Unit is smaller than I was expecting and not as powerful as it needs to be. Good for vacuuming drink holders, door pockets,etc in the car but that's about it, way too small and not enough suction to clean the carpets in the foot wells. Show details

requested a full refund under the Australian Consumer Law. Instead of directly addressing the defect and my selected remedy, Ridgeback repeatedly sent generic instructions telling me to review its Return Policy, even though I had already done so and had expressly explained why the product qualified as defective.

Ridgeback then introduced a request for photographs and video evidence. I am providing that evidence in good faith, although its published Refund Policy and FAQ do not state that this is a mandatory precondition to accepting a defective-product return.

Ridgeback’s own website says:

it accepts returns for defective items; its products have a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects; and defective products should be reported immediately so Ridgeback can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Despite this, I have not yet received confirmation of my refund, a prepaid return label or a confirmed authorised return address.

I am also concerned about the transparency of the business. The website does not clearly publish the seller’s full legal entity, ABN/ACN, physical business address or headquarters. The business identity used in its customer-service emails also appears inconsistent with the public domain-registration information.

In my experience so far, the product has failed to perform remotely as advertised and the refund process has been unnecessarily repetitive, unclear and frustrating. Based on both the defective product and the manner in which my complaint has been handled, I cannot recommend purchasing from Ridgeback.

I have retained the product, packaging, video evidence, order records, website representations and all correspondence. I will update this review fairly if Ridgeback provides the full refund requested.

I would not purchase again! It is nothing like it states it is. The suction power on it is useless. I only used it on my car carpet mats, I purchased this product especially for my car, for normal everyday use and it did absolutely nothing. Absolutely love this little vacuum cleaner. I used to struggle to vacuum my car being an older person I couldn't manage the big household vacuum to get it into the car to thoroughly clean it. loved the job of vacuuming the window sills. We use it to blow up balloons for him to play. Its so useful I find I'm using it everyday now. Great product I highly recommend and have 3 adult sons who I'm sure will love it too. My hubby has used it several times and is also impressed with it.

Absolutely well worth the money. We also bought two Ridgebacks for our daughters, as presents for their own new car purchases, and they love them ❤️

Great little vac, perfect for motorhome / caravan to use daily, good battery charge, at first you want it to have more power but with regular filter cleans ( attach a blow wand ) and using the 2nd speed it does the job quite well, buy extra filters though, I have 2 long hair cats with me and it holds up great Show reply

I’ve just received it and used it today. The suction is strong enough to remove most of the durst in my car and the attachments are terrific. It even has a blower to use and it’s light weight and easy to clean. It might just make car cleaning fun! Show reply

Was skeptical but bought one to try, as I felt if it performed as advertised it would be extremely useful to me. I’m in my 70’s and can no longer wield huge appliances or tools.
