with a half "completed" job). Daniel came to our house at 4pm on a Sunday and within an hour of arriving had organised and confirmed everything. By 8am the next morning (17 hours after first call), the scaffolders came and set up the rails. By midday, Daniel came by again and dropped off 60L of sealer, 100L of resin/coating in our chosen colour (manufactured that morning!) as well as the replacement valley and the bitumen storm seal. The next day (Tuesday), Brandon and Neil showed up with 170 replacement tiles and got down to work replacing all the chipped and broken tiles, doing all the re-bedding and re-pointing, and power-washing the entire roof. They worked quickly and efficiently and by the end of the day my stress levels were back to normal - it was clear that these guys had the situation under control. They brought an extra 11 tiles to color match (the next day) as spares. On Wednesday, Neil replaced the valley and did a last check of everything before it was time to apply the sealer and the resin. Brandon was an absolute sniper with the spray gun! I walked around the perimeter after they left and counted about 5 tiny dots of paint on the ground. These guys took care of everything, explained what they were doing and cleaned up everything on the way out. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Rob then came out and performed the inspection of my roof in a very professional, informative and thorough manner. He was friendly and professional and as part of the free initial inspection fully rectified my amateur DIY fix on the leaks over my eaves (Two other roofing companies had come to inspect prior to this and both didn't offer to rectify the issue which was quite a simple fix at the end of the day). He also provided valuable information on how the tiles are meant to be positioned and recommended a product for me to use to cover the water stain on the eave underside which was much appreciated.

Rob was transparent and thorough in explaining the restoration process employed by RMS and also provided a full breakdown of the quoted price to fully restore my roof to a very fine level of detail including the calculations to arrive at the total square meterage of roof, the rate/m for the restoring process, the rate/tile replacement, rate/rebed and so forth (neither of the previous roofing companies provided a breakdown when requested) and provided a fair competitive price at the end of the process.

Robert came to our home, climbed up on the roof, walked around the roof and took photos etc to show us where the problems were. We sat down and had a full discussion of what the issues were and what needed to be done to fix the roof. Robert was excellent. The Roofing Work was carried out in a first rate manner by James and his “team”. I cannot speak highly enough of not only his craftsmanship but also his whole approach to the job. James discussed with us the timing of the works, always messaged us before arrival and always arrived on time. There were no delays and the works were carried out like clockwork. James carried out the repair work in a first class manner and cleaned the site and surrounds each day before leaving. Firstly, let's address the elephant in the room - their outrageously high prices. According to their website, the average cost of roof restoration for an average house falls between $4000 and $5500. However, when I approached them for a quote for my small unit, I was quoted a staggering $11000. This price was utterly unreasonable and left me questioning their integrity and ethics. It is clear that Roof Makeover Specialist is taking advantage of unsuspecting customers by inflating their prices to an absurd extent.

Furthermore, Roof Makeover Specialist shows an alarming level of overconfidence in their services. They give the impression that their product is unparalleled and that there is no room for negotiation. Their attitude towards customers suggests that they believe their work is flawless, which undermines any chance of building a trusting relationship. This level of arrogance is unacceptable and is a major turnoff for potential clients seeking quality service.

One of the most disappointing aspects of Roof Makeover Specialist is their outdated business model. In this digital age, where technology is rapidly advancing, they have failed to keep up with the times. For example, their website still displays outdated pricing information, leading customers to believe that a roof restoration is reasonably priced. This lack of transparency is misleading and unethical. It is apparent that Roof Makeover Specialist has neglected even the most basic updates to their business practices, showcasing a lack of professionalism.

Another grievance I have with this company is their refusal to offer discounts to pensioners. It is surprising that in a day and age when many businesses prioritize customer loyalty, Roof Makeover Specialist does not extend any special considerations to pensioners who may be on fixed incomes. This lack of compassion reveals the company's insensitivity towards this demographic and highlights their profit-driven approach, putting them in a negative light.

Overall, my experience with Roof Makeover Specialist has been anything but pleasant. Their extortionate prices, overconfidence, archaic business model, failure to offer discounts to pensioners, and misleading information on their website have left me feeling deceived and disappointed. I would strongly advise potential customers to seek alternative roofing restoration services that prioritize transparency, affordability, and customer satisfaction.

Poor communication and job was not done satisfactorily – Had specific concerns with my roof. They were not addressed. Very poor organisation. Never called to organise a time to, “address my concerns” Would just call past and leave a business card. Do your self a favour, find a location tradesman that will do a better job. Edit. Our tile roof had a few leaks so I contacted Daniel who came out promptly and quoted straight away.
