The old to the new – My old 4 stroke finally hit the curb. To replace it I bought a Ryobi + 4AH 37" cut from Bunnings. On the plus side the mower gives a nice even cut, light to use, no refueling hardly any noise. Be sure to check your cut area before buying as there are different width size cuts. also, the battery can be used in other Ryobi products. On the negative! If you do not have any other Ryobi products you may wish to purchase a higher voltage battery (or an extra) as they do not last long. The price for a spare is quite expensive. Overall, I find it fit for purpose.

Weak product – I'm a third of the way through mowing a small backyard lawn mown a week ago. The 4amp hour battery is dead flat and will take about an hour to cool down so it can charge which will take another hour or two. I'm covered in sweat but will have to wait for it. Pathetic machine best suited to mowing handkerchief sized lawns. Do yourself a favour and stick to petrol, I'm off to buy one now.

Great mower - whilst it works – I've now had two of these mowers (returned and replaced twice). I bought it and then a few other Ryobi products that all connect, thinking it was good to be able to use the same batteries. The downside is that this mower will just stop working, the battery is fully charged, and there is no dirt or grass in the battery area. Just decides it will not turn on. I cleaned it out, and still no luck, so I am hoping third time lucky. Just make sure you keep your receipt if you buy one, you'll need it! both times, the mower stopped about 5 months. Don't want to have to change to another maker because I have a few in the same Ryobi family.

Jan 24 - I’ve had to return the second mower to be replaced with another, second just stopped working. Giving third one the last chance and then done with this mower if it does’t last.

Purchased in for $399.

For the best grunt in the brushless mower market – I am a professional gardener. I like to use brushless tools. Nothing is too much trouble- it has the grunt to do all the jobs a petrol mower can. Recommend

Ryobi Battery Lawn Mower – Brought this lawn mower as l have a very small yard. It is nice and light to push but the negative is the battery life is only 10 minutes my yard only takes 20 minutes so l need 2 batteries
