Had appt booked at Cannon Hill; arrived at counter same time as a walk-in. Walk-in had her haircut before me. While waiting another walk-in arrived and was seated - she too had her hair cut before me! I walked out and won't go back.
Westfield Coomera we booked appointments for 2pm, 2 blowdrys. Waited half an hour. Staff are completely inexperienced. Had a 3rd year apprentice who should be able to wash and blow dry a basic style. The stylist had absolutely no idea of what she was doing. A photo of what was wanted was provided for guidance. Absolute waste of money
Definitely hit and miss depending on the staff member you get. Recent visit was not a good experience. Colour was wrong, didn’t cover my grey hair and in some places looked orange because the colour wasn’t dark enough. Hair cut was very poor was left with a fringe that was short and uneven which was barely acknowledged when I attempted to talk… Read more
about it. There was no checking of cut at the end to make sure both side were even. The person cutting pretty much walked off to the counter while I was still trying to talk to them. I had not realised she was not coming back to check her cut! Also with an appointment still had to wait at least 20 mins after arriving.
I did complain the next day and after having to go back into the salon for the manager to look at the colour was given a voucher for a free colour and didn’t feel like my other concerns were really given any air time. I was pretty much made to feel like you can move on now I am too busy to really take the time to listen. Anyway feedback is important if you want your business to thrive. I think they are as some have previously have said hit and miss type of salon and prices are lower. However, customer feedback should be taken seriously and not so quickly dismissed. You can’t improve unless you’re interested and I certainly felt there was little interest sadly.

I ordered on line on the 4th July and after 3 emails and phone calls to head office to follow up on my order that I was supposed to be able to pick up by 7th July. I have phone call evidence that I spoke with someone on the 10th July from S & S Head Office. The following day when I tried to call after not being able to find S & S Mt Gravatt the head office apparently was closed since 3.30pm and not reopening till next business day. So 14 July I finally receive a email with the Mt Gravatt S & S address and a message left by the salon. Unfortunately I pick up my shampoo and conditioner and am very disappointed that both the shampoo and conditioner after waiting soooo long for it to be supposedly sent from Sydney NSW!!!! YET BOTH THE SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER WERE BOTH "UNSEALED" which I didn't realise until I arrived home.
MT Ommaney S & S were staffed by a lovely manager but I have been left with a very unpleasant distasteful impression by the confusion in my communications with Head Office when both times I phoned Head Office after 8th July I was given the response that my order was not sent and the delay was due to End of Financial year??? I have the admittance of Head Office that when I phoned the Head Office had made a mistake!!!
One would think after all that, I would be provided atleast the courtesy of sealed new shampoo and conditioner - but I was NOT. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, I ONLY ORDERED FROM S & S Because of the lovely Manager and staff from S & S Mt Ommaney.
I went in for a roots touch up, eyelash tint/ brows tint and trim. I asked them to match my roots with my blonde hair. They put the colour in only on the roots and never put anything on the rest of my long hair. That should have raised alarm bells. The cut was cursory and 5 minutes effort. When I got home and saw my hair my roots were dark brown. I am baffled that they didn't do something about it when I was there. I was really upset and put some feedback on their website as they were uncontactable on the Sunday. They called me on the Monday and wanted me to go in to allow them to attempt to fix the problem. I did not want to return as I had already invested too much time with them and any further colouring would further damage my hair. Once blonde hair is died dark, bleaching it makes it orange which looks worse. I requested a refund that they refused on the basis that they have the right to fix the problem. Poor customer service.
Would give 0 starts if it was possible. Ordered a nail colour - got the complete wrong colour.. asked politely through email to return the item. I was told they don't do returns. and ignorant manager/owner who ended up hanging up the phone on me like a child. Clearly has something to hide if he is unwilling to speak and just hang up the phone. Got onto 'gelish' themselves and they told me the images this company is using on their site is over 8 years old and that's why it is different to the website (Because the colour has now changed within the 8 years). The lady at gelish was apologetic for this retailed behaviour and sorted the issue very quickly. Save yourself the hassle and order through the gelish website as their colours and images align and are up to date so you know what you are ordering. Saves you dealing with an ignorant man also.

Apprentices need to learn and gain experience, but this should not come at the client’s expense. Charging qualified rates for unqualified workers and causing long-lasting damage is wrong and unethical. Not to mention embarrassing and upsetting.
Totally dissatisfied with the service, the quality of the work, and the lack of accountability from the salon.

I ordered MUK hair products online for collection at the Mount Gravatt store. Kristen in Customer services was friendly and helpful when a product wasn’t available when I chose to have a refund there were no issues and a refund was sorted straight away. My items arrived quickly and in good condition. The store was nice to deal with as well. Thank you.
I like these salons, never really had a problem. One time a girl didn’t give me a great undercut but while I was there yesterday (19/2) the girl who did my haircut and undercut was great, very professional. The only thing I’ll say is I wasn’t aware there was a surcharge (20 cents is nothing though) but I would have been nice to be informed.
Enjoyed having my hair cut by Abby, at Beenleigh store. She listened to how I wanted it cut. Skilfully cut, it highlights the curl in my hair. Relaxing head massage, also.

transition through the mids and ends. Instead, she ended up with a very harsh ginger tone, visible banding, and a clear line of demarcation around her head, with darker brown still sitting through the top section.
She specifically did not want any warm or copper tones, so this was a long way off.
She was pretty upset when she got home. It’s not a cheap service, and when you walk out not feeling good about your hair, it’s frustrating.
We ended up having to go out that same night and spend another $60 on a box dye just to correct it ourselves.
For $450, you expect proper colour matching, toning and blending. This just wasn’t it.
Very disappointing experience, and we won’t be going back.

for about 15 mins while the staff cleaned and chatted to another customer being finished up. During this time my daughters nd anxiety was building and she had started to cry so I had to ask someone off we would be seen soon. When the hairdresser finally came to us, I explained my daughters neurodivergence and what she needed (a simple trim of her undercut and tidy up of the top) and the hairdresser began to thammer my daughter with questions until she was crying heavily and I was trying to keep her assured that it was okay. About half way through what should have been a very quick cut, the hairdresser explained that the other customer had been instore most of the day getting some detailed work done and she just needed to say goodbye as the woman was finished and leaving the store. So the hairdresser walked away from my crying daughter and proceeded to have a 15 minute chat to the woman at the from counter (I was aware of the timings as we were trying to get to another shop before closing). During this time my daughter was becoming more dis regulated and anxious and crying heavily. I eventually had to go and break up the conversation and ask the hairdresser to finish the haircut. The cut itself was fine (simple cut) but this was not a positive experience for a neurodivergent child. We won’t be returning.

bob cut (not what I asked for) and cut it so short (at the base of my jawline) that I will have to wear a cap to work to flatten my hair enough to stop it curling up too short for my liking for at least 6 months, never going there again. Also unlucky enough to get placed at the front of the store, so my hairdresser had to constantly answer the phone and move to the side to let other staff pass thru narrow hallway due to shelving.

worse than 1 star. Runaway Bay S&S ...fact is they have no idea how to shampoo and condition hair. Left so much of both the above in my hair that I had to wash it out as soon as I got home. Blow-dry was horrendous! I may as well of dried my hair by opening the car window and sticking my head out of the window to dry. Do not recommend.
Visited Mount Ommaney QLD today to be met by a very rude and abrupt manager Have been a long serving customer there and the previous manager was lovely but will not be retiring or recommending mount Ommaney SS hair to anyone again

have passed, and the item was never delivered. Throughout this period, I contacted them multiple times. Each time, I received vague responses, including "we don't know when it will arrive" — and most recently, after being told last week that it would arrive by Friday (6th June), I was again advised today that there is no certainty on if or when it will arrive and they have no control on this.
At no point during any of these interactions did their team offer an apology or take accountability. Instead, I was only offered a refund, which I reluctantly accepted after weeks of delay and lack of communication.
It was extremely disappointing to learn that the trimmer was never in their store’s possession, and that they were entirely reliant on an external supplier — without any confirmed delivery timeframe — despite advertising the item as available on their website.
This experience reflects poorly on their customer service and inventory practices, and I urge them to review this issue to ensure more accurate stock representation and improved communication moving forward.
Abby introduced herself and was my lovely stylist today at Capalaba Park salon. She did a wonderful job of my hair. I only usually get a wash and a trim...but also got a dry off, blow dry included. The prices are very reasonable. Will definitely go back to these girls. Highly recommend.

When you make your points, then she threatens you to go (or to call security despite being respectful) when their staff is not clear about what time can you expect to be attended since you walk in or sitting in a chair waiting forever.
