amount of approximately 30% of each bar which is totally unacceptable in hassle terms and monetary terms as the bars last a much shorter time. The product development & marketing team who approved the change should hang their heads in shame and consider resigning - unless the product reverts to the original formulation which was perfect.

Probably stop using it now after 20 plus years – Being using this soap for years, i'm 70 now, but it now leaves a scum of some sort afterwards in the shower, which is very hard to get rid of. I don't know what the manufacturers have done, as it was great soap before.

Not Simple anymore – Have been using Simple soap for 38 years since recommended and loved the gentle formula, never used any other. What have you done to it??!! Trying to use cheap ingredients? pretty poor form to ruin a very good product. It was always $1.99 for two bars at chemist warehouse, now its over $6 for 2 bars IN BULK (48 bars) sand they are much lighter. I wont even bore you with the smaller purchase amounts priced because they are scandalous.

Thankfully i found dove extra sensitive soap to be a good substitution, it goes a bit quicker but it gives me no irritation, and that's the important part

Contrary to popular opinion – I have been using this 'new' Simple soap for a few months now, having used the 'old' for 25 years. Yes, it is smaller, but I find it lathers much better, & I've never had a bar break in 2. (what are you guys doing with your soap?!) And, it no longer contains rendered down animal fat. Why change a good product? – I’ve bought this previously excellent soap for years, but the recent changes are not to my, or my family’s liking. The shape change to disguise a reduction in bar size is underhand, unnecessary and frankly unimportant. However the formula change is VERY important. Disgusting – Have used Simple soap for I don't know how long. Just opened up a pack and what a horrid change to it, don't like the shape, the smell, its not the same anymore. As for changing the size of the soap into a silly shape is even more disgusting. Do your selves a favour to your loyal customers and put it back to it was, if its not broken why fix it? Not I'm looking for an alternative soap to use. You've made a bad mistake.

curved shape, and I don’t like that it now runs out much more quickly. I've been in touch with their customer relations, and the only point of my review on which they commented was about the new shape, which they say is better. I've found a suitable non-perfumed alternative (sorry, I can't advertise here), and will not be buying Simple soap again. I'm not surprised that two well-known UK chemists are no longer showing it on their websites.

Please bring original Simple Soap formula back – I was mortified to buy a 4 pack of my favourite soap (Simple) then unwrapped it and discovered the new formula, it's horrible and I won't buy it again. I agree with the other reviews - it definately feels and smells like sheep fat, I have used the original Simple soaps for 20+ years, the original bars had a lovely gentle and lasting fragrance that was great but this, ugh, they have lost me as a customer, I'm looking for an alternative soap now.

Why the change? – I can only assume that the reduction in size of the bar by 20% was a way to stay profitable. ostensibly an entirely different soap, the only constant thing is the wrapper. The soap has become slimy, difficult to rinse off, is used up much more quickly than it’s predecessor and tends to break in two. Pure must be depending on customer loyalty, but after 10 or so years of use, they have lost mine.

Strange shape! – I've noticed that the formula for the soap has changed & it now produces more foam, but the main disappointment for me is the change in shape of the bar. why, do companies change hypoallergenic formulations that people seek out and come to depend upon, and screw things up for us?

Ingredient change – I have used this soap for years. It is the only one that doesn't irritate my skin or make it sore. The latest batch I bought looks different and I can no longer use it. My skin itches- just as with other soaps. I won't be using it any more. Show details

Italian brand made in Turkey – German based Lornamead was taken over by Italian brand Sodalis in 2021 and has gone down hill since. Final straw is the recent price increase of 20% due to shrinkflation. Show details

Not at all Simple – The return of Simple soap is such a disappointment. The new product is nothing like the soap we knew and used exclusively. It is slimey and smells. The new shape, with a 'squashed' centre combined with the squelshy texture has resulted in the bar breaking in two when about half used. I won't be buying it again. Show details

Simple soap used to be fantastic but it’s now rubbish – Straightaway I noticed the packaging had changed and the new Simple Soap is white whereas the original version was cream. It smells horrible, looks cheap and the underside is indented ie the soap has been made smaller from underneath in the hope customers won’t notice. It is now made in Turkey. Not what it was – The formula of Simple soap had definitely changed. It's horrible – The new Simple Soap is drying, like all other soaps. SO, SO, SO disappointed. I have used it for years and always before been very happy. I don't like it, will have to find a better soap now.

Used for 40 years – I have very sensitive skin and suffered acne as a lad. I found simple soap was the only soap that didn't agitate my skin. The good thing about this soap is that you can use it with a razor and lather it up with a shaving brush. You will need nothing else if you have this soap. I am 61 now and people cannot believe that's how old I am. I definitely put it down to using simple soap.

This is great for sensitive skin – Have not been able to buy this product in a long time. Great to see it available at Chemist Warehouse once again. . A great soap for sensitve skin problems
