Absolute crap - don't waste your money – The only reason I am giving this product one star is that I can't give it a zero. On wireless keyboard keeps activating the search on a variety of web browsers (Chrome, Firefox & AVG), which makes typing all but impossible. I'm able to type a few characters (sometimes a whole word if I'm exceptionally lucky) before the search function activates… Read more

and I have to spend the next minute, or thereabouts, cancelling and escaping before I can type the next couple of characters before the search function activates, rinse and repeat.

I used three different web browsers, all with the same result, and now I'm using a different keyboard with a problem (hence I can actually write this review), and this infuriating pile of crap masquerading as a wireless keyboard and mouse are where they belong - the bin.

Do your self a favour, don't waste your money on this awful product.

uccaustralia.com.au is the worst company in Australia selling SonicB keyboard – I bought SonicB keyboard in Australia & uccaustralia.com.au is the sole distributor of SonicB in Australia. But, after opening the box at home, I found the keyboard is not Australian key layout style. Then I contacted them for an exchange for correct version. But they denied. They said they have imported the wrong layout in Australian market… Read more

intentionally. On the box there is no sign advising that it's not an Australian layout keyboard. They are just trying to steal money from Australian market by selling wrong product in Australian market. Beware of this fraud company. They just deny taking responsibility and very rude.

Printed letters on buttons start wearing slowly – Bought a Sonic B keyboard from Woolworth a couple of years ago. Re: Keyboard model SBWKBM batch No. 12692. Print on buttons starts wearing off.

This is not a keyboard for Australia or the English Speaking world ( outside of a small part of Europe ) – Cheap, keys are OK, but the design is completely botched - This is NOT the standard english layout for the world - And so if you use Australian computers a lot, you'll regularly need to go looking for keys because not only are they not where they are supposed to be, the wrong scan codes are sent for Australian PCs. The manufacturer says there are… Read more

"other" english keyboards, and I should point out that ALL keyboards in the world now are pretty much "english" keyboards even if they dont' speak english, because ASCII is based on english, but they too are not for Australia. Australia is a "US" keyboard country. Thank god at least it's not an AZERTY, but it's definitely hard to use.

Left shift is WAY too small, and there's a repeated key where you normally press it, so expect pipe and backslash instead of shift. Delete key is too small to be useful, Tilde is in the wrong spot. # is marked ", and pressing "#" results in "\"

This is NOT a keyboard for Australian users, and should make that clear on the front. I'm all for choice, but that should be INFORMED CHOICE, not hidden-inside-the-box you-can-return-it-if-you-don't-like-the-sucker-punch choice. Sure, the picture on the box does show the key layout as it is, but I don't expect an Australian keyboard, purchased from Woolies to be something I have to check in fine detail before purchasing.

Aside from that, it would be OK, so I gave it an extra star. Mouse is nicely small for a radio mouse, and has three easy-to-access DPI settings. Keys feel cheap, but are OK and have good travel and feel and are reasonabe for the price. Keyboard is no bigger than it needs to be. If not for this crazy keyboard layout, it would be fine.

And because of this, this keyboard has many uses. Buy it as a present for people you don't like, or as a spare if you sometimes need a keyboard just to set up a tablet and have no intention to ever use to type a letter. Or because you're a masochist, or come from a tiny place in europe that thinks this keyboard layout is cool.

Could have been great, except it's a junk layout... This product is an excellent example of why market research is so important. I have a sneaking suspicion that these keyboard were ordered by the same person at Woolies who orders the same numbers of every size of clothing, never realizing that clothing has a distribution curve, which is why there's a zillion of every other size than the one you want.

Sonic B, if this keyboard is genuinely used in ANY other country, then send them there to be used. Please bring in a better supply of AUSTRALIAN (ie, US ) keyboards. For the 1 person in a million who actually likes this layout, I'm pretty sure they can get relatives back home to send them one.

Wish I read the reviews before buying...

UCC imported two different Sonic B keyboards – I bought a Sonic B keyboard and mouse from Woolworth's and it worked fine, except that the left Shift was a very small key, [\ |] was between left Shift and Z, and pressing Shift [2] produced " instead of @. This keyboard also had € and ₤ key caps in addition to $. That was because it was a European layout. In Australia we use the USA layout. I… Read more

took it back to Woolworth's and they swapped it for a USA keyboard. The dumb thing is that both keyboards had identical product numbers: SBW KBM. Two different products that did not even come from the same Chinese factory had identical numbers! It appears that UCC, the importers, did not even realise that Sonic B were sending them different products.

Get what you pay for – Very difficult to read symbols on keys unless you tilt. Shift key too small and wrong action for number 2 key is printed. The shift key produces the @ symbol which is printed on the ' next to the Enter key. Concept of mouse and keyboard on one USB is good but..... UPDATE- Sonic B promptly responded to my comments and offered a simple solution for the @ key issue. On that basis I have upgraded my opinion and star rating from 2 to 3 star. Show details

Poor quality product – I purchased this from Woolworths as it only required one USB port for both the keyboard and mouse. It worked fine straight out of the box, but I find the right mouse button very stiff and difficult to press. I also noticed that the @ symbol which is usually on the 2 key had been swapped with the " symbol. However when pressing these keys the… Read more

correct symbol is displayed (i.e. SHIFT and 2 produces the @ symbol). I thought this may have somehow been a misprint on my keyboard, but the image on the box shows it incorrect as well. The left shift key is also tiny and has an additional key between it and the Z resulting in many miss typed words.

this product is genuinely not fit for purpose – I could only use this mouse for about a week before I almost had a mental breakdown. this mouse is terrible it is not fit for purpose never under any circumstances buy one of these mice. because it doesn't have a manual on/off button so it turns off at random intervals so I have to take out the battery and re-install it every time I want to use… Read more

it. I don't know if there is something wrong with the sensor or something else but the mouse will spontaneously start to twitch on the screen and then fly off to one corner that normally being the top right corner where the X button is which can be very stressful. the buttons sometimes don't respond or take a second to do so. the packaging claims to can work from up to ten meters away which is an absolute like it only lasted to about 6 meters before it stopped responding. this product is not fit for purpose Sonic B need to stop selling their wireless mouse as they are lying to their customers. I have never wanted to refund a product in my life but I genuinely considered with this mouse.

THIS PRODUCT IS A LIE

Keyboard OK, mouse movement jerky – The USB receiver was very stiff to insert into any USB port - not a good start! to use. The buttons and scroll wheel worked normally. I adjusted my mouse settings without improvement and also tried a new set of Duracells in it, but that made no difference. I also tried a different mouse pad but the result was the same. I bought this to replace a very reliable Logitech combo I wore out after several years' frequent use. The Sonic B combo went back to Woollies for a refund. I can't recommend it.

Works but you get what you pay for – Both keyboard and mouse worked out of the box. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse sat on my sofa, and this mouse is not as precise when used on fabric. Also, the keyboard has a calculator hotkey where the delete key usually is which means I kept opening it. I popped the key out in the end. The biggest issues was the rubber feet which leave marks on a white desk. Show details

Repeating keys and noisy – The 'o' key repeats with a single stroke. When I type "you" I frequently get" "youo" . I've typed very slowly and carefully and it still does it. A good little keyboard & mouse combo – Purchased at Woolworths for $25. My only complaints about the the keyboard is 1) after 5 months the letters are starting to wear off. 2) there are no instructions to tell where the USB receiver could be found. It was located in a cutout on the back of the keyboard. On the good side the mouse turns off when not in use to reduce battery wear. A… Read more
