not get exempt from ads if you are still paying a fortune for these subscriptions. Contact customer support explaining my concerns - not helpful what so ever so sport has been cancelled and will look at cancelling the basic plan in the next week. What’s the point in paying for this if there are ads, I’ll watch free to air thanks. What they’ve done in trying to make it affordable for non customers or getting in more customers, no they are trying to upgrade their current customers to the premium. Sneaky and no care. Readers’ Don’t Digest ! Stan is showing Navone vs Djokovic as WOMEN’S Singles Round 1. It should be MEN’S !! Monday 9:00 AM Men’s R1 commentator was saying ‘Racket has been given to a Ball Boy’….. in respect of Navone. I feel this was in bad taste. But this lad has beaten Djokovic in 5. Commendable I would say.
Ok, so as a Stan subscriber who also pays for Paramount, Netflix, AppleTV, Binge, Prime, and (until recently) Disney, Acorn, and Britbox, I feel I'm qualified to choose the best streaming service. compelling lineup of great, watchable shows. So many of the others rely on a few magnet hits, but then have a back catalogue like a small town, NSW video shop in the late 90s. Just screen after screen of depressing dross. Stan gets it really right. I've watched about 10 series in a row that I rate better than 8/10. Like The Gold, Innocent, Too Close, The Hack, Manhunt (ok - I'm on a UK kick at the moment, but there is plenty from around the world - an astounding amount of it better than just watchable. Even The Rainmaker, which had its shark-jumping moments, was great compared to the swill I wade through trying to find something on most of the others.) Apple has a couple of gems, like Slow Horses up to series 4, and Severance series 1... but then it's a vacuum of barely watchable slime. And don't get me started on Prime or Paramount, or Netlflix (The Diplomat is a highlight, but hardly worth the monthly fee). Anyway, I won't accept any argument. Stan is the best. I'm ditching the others. I want you to all sign up so they have more money to lease and commission great stuff.
Although the subscription fee has increased, what you get for your money is well worth it. To have the Premier league, champions league and fa cup all covered by one provider for me is worth it. Plus all the extra sport and shows covered.
Worst app I’ve ever used. Make you watch adds, can’t fast forward without it glitching and going back to the start and it’s way too expensive. Ended up turning it off

Stan uses very misleading advertising. Stan advertised that From season 4 - “new season stream now”, and I paid for a subscription of one month to watch From season 4. After I paid the subscription I saw that only 4 out of 10 episodes from season 4 were available. Apparently the next 6 episodes would be released as one per week over the next 6… Read more
weeks, forcing me to pay for two months just to watch the new season. Stan wanted to know if the “entire season was advertised” to me before I signed up - trying to blame me for reasonably believing that ALL 10 episodes of the new season would be available to watch based upon Stan’s deceptive advertising. I had to go through PayPal to get my refund. I have reported Stan to the ACCC for their deceptive and misleading advertising.

Been on Stan since Optus sport had to merge over last year. Had no issues up until recently ironically when I've started to be slugged more money per month. Everytime I wish to watch EPL champions league etc I get error messages and I am required to turn off my tv and shield. Unplug it. Wait like 2 minutes. All premiere leaugue games 13/02/2026 don't flow as they should! It's like a few split seconds have been cut every second or two. The flow jumps around as does the sound. Stan often gets it wrong. Sometimes the crowd's too loud and you can't hear the commentators. Sometimes they forget to turn the comentators mic on at all. I'm getting pretty sick of Stan's [Name Removed]. I understand that on a day when there might be 6 or 7 games on Stan rushes the editing department to "Hurry up and get the games on the app"! they don't make the time or have the staff to check the (lack of) quality of their product and we are expected to not complain and watch what we're given! We PAY for that stan! And....... No apologies nor acknowledgement of their mess up! I'm under the impression that Stan have a super cheap knock of deal with whoever sends what they show to us. PUT MORE STAFF ON AND GET A BETTER PROVIDER STAN!

Absolutely cr#p, never works. 0 stars. If it wasn’t for you recently buying optus sport I would never have paid a cent for you again. Honestly sort it out so your channel actually works at least once a week would be nice.

We are still seeing lots of buffering and issues stopping, starting and dropping out. The Pause function is poor and so far to me, useless. Have to scroll through and find where you were! the app on our TVs, rebooting our internet, still the same! We have no trouble with any other Apps. Most expensive App we have for the worst watching value. 5 minutes of tv takes 10 minutes. Every day is a new circle in the middle of the screen. What a waste of my hard earned money. Hiw on earth can Stan be happy with this and do nothing about it? The only word I can say is WOEFUL. Our viewing ruined again. I am amazed that the EPL tolerate this terrible service. And again today. The greatest theft for a rotten App ever. Bring on Netflix.

Constant buffering, only happens on stan and it happens everytime. No accountability from Stan and it has been an ongoing issue for a few years with sport. Don't take on the streaming rights of sporting events if you can't deliver. Do better!!

A New Team Needed – Can you please look at your team of rugby commentators! Apart from Nick McCardle the rest should be replaced. They do nothing to enhance the rugby playing experience on Stan!

Follow-up · I'm cancelling Stan today. It's locked me out again. Besides, it just doesn't stack up against Netflix, Amazon, Paramount, or even Foxtel.

Had to change my email that I no longer had access to, in order to upgrade to sports, where the rugby was due to start in a couple of hours. Was sorted via my new email in about 15 minutes.
Stan could teach all other services how to conduct support, particularly the jungle service. Stan asked appropriate questions, clearly read my messages, and was happy to still take my video error request even though I'm not the account holder because it wasn't anything that was account sensitive - they exercised critical thinking! Thanks to Ken, Kieren, Thomas and Nastasia.
I bought a Stan voucher and I was unable to log onto Stan with it. I then sent a email to Stan support and they were able to guide and help me. I would like to say a big thank you to Natasha, Kieran and Ken who went above and beyond to help me.

Beyond awful streaming platform. Trying to watch live is bad, but God forbid you are watching delayed. Streams stop in the middle, then its nearly impossible to get back to where you were as the fast forward function is terrible.
Pricing is crazy. To go with that, I'm finding the editing on Premier League videos is poor. Further to this point, check out Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest | Highlights | Premier League 2026/27 on Youtube. The editing is incredible. 86th Minute, 85th Minute, 87th minute in that order for the highlights package and also mistaking the Coventry City badge for Nottingham Forest.
Live events are unwatchable. Trying to watch US Open and screen is frozen or buffering. After 10-15 min the delay is so long that there was a full service game or a tiebreaker finished in the meantime. And this is not just on a specific day….it’s been a constant. to a sub-menu and not directly to live broadcast. Selected icons are barely larger than the rest….and it’s hard to see which one is selected. Truly disappointing experience considering the importance of Grand Slams. Not sure why a company that doesn’t have technology was so keen to get a long term contract for broadcasting rights

That “Enter the chat” ad is so annoying, it’s driven me to cease watching channel 9 during the evening timeslots and have swung over to other commercial stations. Probably the worst most annoying ad ever that does nothing to get it’s marketing point across. I do not have a Stan subscription and if I did, I’d probably cancel it. Glad I have Netflix instead.
Enter the chat ad is the worst add I’ve ever seen or heard. It infuriates me. The Tv is muted every time the ad comes on. I’ll be cancelling my Stan subscription.
Whoever was behind the “Enter the Chat” advertisement needs to be fired. Absolutely atrocious ad and it never should have been approved for television, I mute it everytime it comes on. It has also fueled a strong hatred for Stan itself and as such I’ll never be subscribing.
I mute or change the channel every time the "Enter the Chat" ad comes on. I have NEVER had my ears assaulted so badly before...........didn't even know what it was advertising for a while because I was rushing to remove the sound. Finally saw what it was for. Stan, I hope you are listening and reading the comments about this as it is DAMAGING your brand. I would replace/remove ASAP!
