We have had our set for less than 1 year and multiple pieces have splintered with pieces or metal sticking out which is very dangerous. Some of the forks have splintered from the part you use to eat ! When we notified them we were asked to send the set back for a replacement. Pretty inconvenient and not what id consider to be appropriate compensation for something so serious. Show details

Rusted after just one week – We bought our Albany set just one week ago, and after its second time through the dishwasher, the knives and forks are rusting and pitting. Disgusting quality considering our previous cutlery set is 10 years old and not one spec of rust and has been in the dishwasher hundreds of times. Show details

Have lasted really well – Hubby & I bought the 56-piece Albany set back in 2010. They've lasted really well. We use them daily. We also put them in the dishwasher, and we've not noticed any rust marks or anything like that. Everything's in great nick 13 years down the track! In fact, we liked the set so much, we have been slowly adding to it: we have now bought the… Read more ·  2

stainless steel steak knives, fruit spoons, fruit forks, serving spoons, cake forks, and then some! My one gripe is that they have changed how they make them now and the quality is not as good. I do note that they have also changed the ergonomics of the larger forks and they are not as comfortable to hold now. They are also lighter in weight. Sometimes when we bought the extra Albany cutlery online, they had uneven edges to them, like they had been roughly made. Hubby just filed those ones down, and then they were fine, but I think Stanley Rogers could do better. I know plenty of people on here are unhappy with Stanley Rogers' quality, and there seems to be a problem with rust, especially if used infrequently. I think there has been a quality problem - I've noticed that, too, in recent times - but I hope that Stanley Rogers will attend to that one. Customer Service is also not ideal, this is true. Aside from those gripes, we've really enjoyed our Albany Stanley Rogers cutlery. I really do think it will last our lifetime. Our 13-year old set is still practically perfect and we've enjoyed eating our meals with them all these years.

Disappointed would be an understatement – Brand new 56 piece Soho set, hand wash before putting into drawer noticed discolour/rust on logo & rust in a tiny dent especially on knives, 14/16 knives affected on logo area. Emailed customer service, took over a week to respond, they said it appears water has affected it? Like stainless steel is not waterproof? asked me a few questions and it’s… Read more

been 10 days no response. Not only is the product poor quality, Stanley Rogers support team do not respond in a timely manner at all. To sum this up Poor Quality + Poor Customer Service

These rust when washed in dishwasher – I have had this set for less than six months and have noticed substantial amounts of rust on both the butter knives and the steak knives. I Would steer clear if you wash dishes in a dishwasher. Show details

not silver – After years of little use i found my Stanley Rogers to be rusting so such an extent I cannot use them. This cutlery set was to be used for special occasions and it is so bad that I cannot use for the family. If you buy this product do not expect to last for more than 10 years.

Cheap cutlery with exy price tag – My mum got this set for me as a housewarming gift and thought fantastic! Thanks mum! Pretty good brand, I thought. But they instantly felt kind of cheap to me, but they appeared to be genuine Stanley Rogers? But when I used them I felt a weird waxy film on my mouth that the milk on the spoon kind stuck to the waxyness.... it felt unpleasant to eat… Read more

with. After a week or so of use, they began to rust before my eyes. I know mum sometimes bargain shops on the internet and thought maybe she got a counterfeit? Or maybe it was me? But reading the other reviews, now I understand that Stanley Rogers just sucks. I feel bad that I have to get a new set... sorry mum! Will be out to purchase another Maxwell Williams set, which are excellent.

The best steak knives for your home – On Thursday 20th August 2020 I bought a Stanley Rogers 8-Piece Albany Steak Knife Set - Stainless Steel for when I move into my own unit in September 2020 so I could use it for myself or when my family and friends come over for steak since the knives just cut the steak to perfection. The staff were very helpful and the service was amazing because… Read more

they refunded me due to the postage being delayed, which was extremely nice of them to do that for me.

Excellent quality – I have had the full Albany set for over 8 years now and the cutlery looks as good as the day it was bought. I would have no hesitation to buy this again if I had to but it doesnt seem likely since this set has held up so well to the abuse that a modern-day family hurls at it, it looks as if these will outlast me. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. Don't believe the naysayers, you won't be dissapointed Show details

Tarnished – I was given a Stanley Rogers cutlery set as a gift. Already had two other cutlery sets I was using at the time. So saved it to use on special occasions. Hand washed them after first use & they already developed black spots. Now I’m using them every day and it’s only been two months & it’s getting worse. If I don’t wash & dry them STRAIGHT away… Read more

after use, it happens!! What the?? Clearly it’s a manufactured fault. As with other complaints. Stanley Rogers need to be accountable.

Scratches easily and starting to rust after 1 month use – Brought this at Spotlight, they looks great and provides all the cultery you need, the problem is that they are not built to last.. After 1 month of use the cutlery is starting to show scratches and chips which result in rust, I was planning to buy another box but not anymore Show details

Rusty knives – Same story as other people that near immediately I had rust problems. I will admit I do not necessarily take the cutlery straight out of the dishwasher and wipe immediately but who does expect to do this. My cheap set of cutlery never had these problems of rust and I would not consider buying this brand again. Who enjoys removing rust every week off their cutlery?  Show details

Did not meet expectations – Got two sets of the steak knives on special at David Jones during the Xmas sales. Just took both back for a refund due to rusting and pitting. Luckily found the receipt. The sets I bought were made in Korea and clearly not the quality this brand was known for. Would not go for this brand again.  Show details

Quality issues – We bought a large set, and an additional set of steak knives of the same range. It was on special with an online retailer and I considered these to be very well priced for a known name brand, reasonably stylish, and large quantity of cutlery. I am however very disappointed with the cutlery. The knives in particular started getting tarnished… Read more

from day 1. I have never experienced this so quickly with any cutlery i've owned over the years.

Additionally I found many of the knives were not straight. They were wavy and I have had to bend some back in place. Some of the fork splines were also not even and I had to address.

It's also worth noting there is an ergonomic issue with the forks, where the back (where you would place your finger) isn't flat. It looks like where it was stamped out in manufacturing it created a curve on each edge, and while not a massive issue it does place pressure points on the finger at the edges when pressing the fork down firmly.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this set. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the price I paid was so low, and if i had paid full retail price I would be very unhappy.

Rusted – When my partner and I first moved out, all we could afford was a $8 knife set from the supermarket. We finally got a proper set for christmas, the Stanley Rogers 6 piece knife set with block and we have had it for 3 weeks, already there are multiple signs of rust. Even the $8 set of 3 didn't show signs of rust that fast!! Not happy  Show details

cutlery eventually rusts – Had no issues with my Stanley Rodgers cutlery until recently - it’s started to rust badly!!! I have no idea what happened ... ? Anyways it’s possible it isn’t the manufacturers fault but seeing other reviews of rust problems, perhaps something is wrong with the steel ...  Show details

Rusts within weeks – I got a set as a wedding gift and within two weeks of use they started to rust. I contacted Stanley Rogers and we got a very curt reply. Saying rust is not covered under warranty and we should not leave them in the dishwasher they need to be removed immediately and dried. I have had a set of Maxwell Williams for 10 years with no rust, going through the same washing process. Do not buy Stanley Rogers.  Show details

Worst Product – I purchased the Stanley Rogers 56 piece Nobel set in 2013. I left it in its original packaging up until January 2015 when I started to use it on a daily basis. After 2 weeks of use it had started to rust. I contacted Stanley Rogers Australian Hotline and they told me that "it couldn't be rust" and that I needed to take photos of every piece that… Read more

was affected and email it to them. Just so happens that all 56 pieces are rusted and its difficult to get a photo that shows the rust. I still have the original receipt for the 25 year guarantee. I will never purchase a Stanley Rogers product again. I highly recommend that no-one else wastes their money on an over priced product that doesn't even last 2 weeks.

Great looking set – Nice wieght and design. Dishwasher safe and great quality steel, bought from a shop in DFO on special so for the price it was an excellent buy, have had this set for several months and have had no issues with surface rust or logo coming off and been using dishwasher to clean them the whole time. The set came in a nice box and would make a nice present. Nice wieght and design, good price on special.

This brand has a HIC – I bought three years ago at a sydney mall to a prestigious store during a holiday trip, a set of forks, spoons, tea spoons,... for 8 persons for about almost 300 $ aud to use it for my christmas dinner. smelled rust. So , i was wondering why the store was selling in sale at 50% ! I showed this to a specialist, and tell me that there was no logo. Do they sell two types of production ? one in china and an other one from another place ? It 's heavy , sign of quality ? no LOGO and problem of rust on some units

Excellent – I received this cutlery set as a wedding gift. I absolutely love it. It's simple in design but looks modern and stylish. It's dishwasher safe and of good stainless steel quality. I've gone out and purchased another two sets. Highly recommend this. Simple design but looks great.  Show reply
