wiring harness chafing on fairing caused wire to blow and engine to stop whilst at sea – Accurate fact is, whilst 3.5ml out at sea on my cheetah cat with 2x 2016 suzuki df50a motors one of them wouldn't start after fishing a drift, limped back into marina 13mls on sole motor, got engineers down and after a lot of searching,fuses,ecu swap overs, spark tests and inspecting harness a green spot was noticed where we found a chafed through wire causing engine not to start, i recommend to protect the harness with plastic protective split coil tube to prevent this happening to your engine whilst at sea, goodness knows if it was my only motor.
