Do not buy this scooter – I bought my scooter at the beginning of December the Sym 200i Classic. After 2 months my scooter has broken down 8 times. My scooter was once serviced at Brookvale and 2 days later I was driving my scooter home and the engine just stopped. There is and was a clear electrical failure. I left my scooter on the side of the road and took the train home. I called the dealership in Stanmore to notify them of my problem. I was told I had to pay for the towing of the scooter that I did, ($90). I had the scooter towed to Stanmore. After being serviced for longer than 2 weeks I picked up my bike. 1 week later I was riding my scooter and the engine just stopped while I was riding, I was given 3 fuses from the mechanic to install in case the engine stopped. During that week all 3 fuses have popped and I left the scooter at my friends home. One positive is after calling head office [name removed] in Melbourne they payed for the towing the second time.

SYM 200i Symphony a measure of reliability and good riding – I have had my SYM 200i for three years now and it has been an excellent machine and not a thing wrong with it. It is brilliant in the traffic and I actually agree with everything its blurb states on The Scooter Shop web site. It is my first scooter after coming off bigger bikes (my last was a K1100) and you just cannot go wrong with it. It is a really fun machine and just great for getting through the traffic and with enough grunt to get you out of (and into if not careful) trouble.

I have to take my hat off to Adam at The Scooter Shop for selling me this bike. I am very happy with this machine.
