Uniden DECT 1015

Very simple and works well – The overall quality of this phone is good but menu/settings is very sparse. The two high-pitched ringtones available are a matter of "taste" and not for all (especially older) ears suitable - the ringtones can be easily missed when in another room watching TV for example. Yes, I can recommend this phone as secondary/backup device

Great phone – My other phones are Panasonic older models which are great but one if them died. After purchasing other brands I was frustrated and didn't know what phone to buy , I was a bit hesitant to buy this phone, it's a basic phone but you can here clear and has no interference and has a reasonable price.

Amazing For The Price – The Uniden DECT 1015 is a new model claiming to be WiFi friendly. I thought this important, as the phone was to be connected directly into my broadband modem. And I did not want conversations to be picked up audibly on other devices sharing the WiFi setup. In some instances phones sharing a WiFi system, may experience static or other form of interference. But the 1015 has the latest American cordless phone technology, DECT 6.0, which eliminates interference.

This model is a single handset unit, but seems to also be sold as a two handset model, with intercom. But, it obviously would have a different model number. The phone and base are compact, and placing the phone into it's base, is very easy to achieve, as the base contacts fit immediately into the handset. No fiddling to make the connection.

The phone is meant to initially be charged for 15 hours before use. I couldn't resist after 1 hour, and found the phone worked perfectly. However, I then let it charge up overnight.

It works perfectly from one end of the double brick wall house to the other. Out in the garage, no problem, Even in the garden.

It has a ton of features, including 1 3 line backlit full dot matrix LED display; caller display; 30 phonebook entries and 30 caller ID memories. The base is wall mountable. I should mention that the volume is variable, and can be increased to extremely loud.

How much should such a phone cost? An absolute bargain at $24 from Dick Smith.
