Do not buy this product – Some years ago having had a Uniden corded phone with no problems I decided to purchase their cordless 3 unit set to replace my Panasonic which "died". What a huge MISTAKE!!!! This would have to be the worst phone I have ever bought. Tinny ring, slight echo in conversations, slips easily out of cradle and difficult to work menu. As one cannot test… Read more
these items in store I was hoping Harvey Norman, Batemans Bay, would replace if for no other reason than a goodwill PR gesture when I explained I was not happy with the product and explained why. But No. The product had to have a fault. Whilst the item cannot be described as faulty it is certainly a problem in the usage. I was told "buy a cheap product and you get what you pay for". Totally incorrect. My Panasonic was in the low price range and lasted for 7 years of continuous use with no problems.
As I no longer wished to use this Uniden phone due to the problems I was left in no position but to buy a new one so went back to Panasonic and like the old one it is so easy to use.
I advertised the Uniden for sale at a greatly reduced price but no takers. People obviously had taken note of previous reviews which I should have done. The Uniden now sits at the back of a cupboard shelf.

Works well – Was having trouble with menu, but after persisting with manual all ok. Very good customer service, both phone and email help, very quick return answers, very clear instructions, phone operates 5 star. Show details
3rd Uniden cordless phone – This is my 3rd Uniden cordless phone. Other 2 gave up after 5 years. I was disappointed that the latest one didn’t have the option to allocate a special ring tone to callers. Also that the screen was smaller and lit up with red light which I find hard to see. The phone is working perfectly as did the other two. Show details · 2

Regarding handset to base reception – I have just purchased the Uniden 1735+1. Reception distance for the DECT system is claimed to be up to 600m outside, and (I think) 60m inside. Inside the house reception is OK. Outside, through double glazing and shrubbery, 80m is about the practical limit. At 60m, if I step behind a masonry outbuilding, I experience total loss of reception. At… Read more
40m, inside my workshop, line of sight through two windows, reception is OK. If I step behind a masonry internal wall, I lose reception. This is identical reception to my ancient Telstra 12250 DECT phone. I have yet to test the call quality. Set-up seemed easy enough, if you read the book carefully. This is not in the nature of a complaint, but rather a guide for users who need to use their phone away from the house.

Excellent customer service – Had Uniden Land line phones for many years (back up system for medical reasons) and last model stopped working (old Age) purchased new 1735 which stopped working after some 2 1/2 months contacted company who promptly forwarded instructions on how to return the unit post free under guarantee . Their followup communications were excellent and now awaiting arrival of replacement unit Show details · 1
Very unreliable – I have an intermittent but frequent problem. The phone rings, I pick up a handset, base station or remote, and the phone keeps ringing. Message on handset "Connecting...' but it does not connect. Show details
DECT1735 – I have had my D$CT for 2 days and I find that for a 71 old year pensioner, the color of the screen to is just is bad. Instructions ,to small to read. Perhaps a thinner manual or a quick more easier to understand.
Not Happy – Bought 3 weeks ago, every time I received a call the light would start flashing. I had to reboot the phone daily. I returned it to the store who I turn refunded my money. Show details
Rubbish – new phones both display out of range , replace on cradle, check base power , have been charging for 2 days have replaced batteries with new ones just to check $40 dollars wasted will go with another brand or mobile Show details

Not connecting, not charging and the warranty process reads like a con – I have an DECT1735+ 1 which is advertised as being NBN compatible. I contacted my NBN provider it is still not connecting. I plugged the phone in and has power, the batteries are in the handsets and at first seemed to be charging. The handsets either say they are out of range or not in base station. Both are in the cradles and are literally 2m… Read more
away from each other. There is no dial tone and it is not ring when we test call After two weeks the handsets stopped charging and the base station is cycling a down and left arrow like symbol on the display resets they suggest does nothing.
Granted due to my own business I've not had time to chase and push this process along like I should but I got this set on the 25th of Dec and I still have no real sense of a resolution.
The warranty process they email you reads like If they DECIDE it's non-waranty they will charge you for the quote for repairs........? I've ask for clarification from Uniden I have not heard back again to be fair I only ask yesterday.
Save yourself the trouble and hassle don't bother buying Uniden at all.
SO disappointed! – Tolerated this phone for months now..no more.. people can’t hear me..Say “sounds like you’re talking under water”. It crackles and plays dead. I spoke to Office Works and they ..without hesitation..said “just bring it back, no worries” Hmm! Show details

Not happy with this phone – I purchased this phone for my business and had trouble months after. Phone sounds fuzzy when talking also can’t hear voice messages clearly. Phone is getting worse, I’m now shopping for a new one. Rang my phone company to check if it’s the reception or bad line but They said it’s not. Show details

Excellent response to query – On advising the Uniden Customer Service team of my problem I received a detailed reply allowing me to ascertain that the actual problem was a flat NBN backup battery actuating a phone alarm. This allowed me to fix the problem and restored my faith in the Uniden system. Show details
Complicated – I cannot work out how to use this phone, it is the most complicated piece of equipment in the house. All I want to do is switch the answer phone on and off and pick up my calls, I want to throw it down the creek I am so frustrated with it.

2nd Faulty Phone – Purchased a Uniden DECT 1735+3 14 months ago. No 2 Phone died. We decided to buy a new Uniden DECT 1735 +3 on 5th July 2020. I installed it and did a test. Everything worked as it should for about half an hour. I noticed a No 8 appear on the base Phone. When I tested the phone nothing worked. asked for assistance, thinking I have done something wrong. They just told me they did not make house calls and to return the phone. I am using my old phone at present until I can purchase one that works.I rely on our landline as we are elderly and do not have a mobile phone. This exercise caused me so much stress as I had just come out of Hospital with major Surgery. I am not impressed.
The handset won't charge – When I first used the phone, it worked. Then I found it was completely flat. So I reseated it, and nothing. I removed the battery and put it back and it turned on. Put it in the cradle, and it started charging, or so I thought.. the charging light went off after 5 minutes and it would not charge again. Removed the battery, repeated the above, and… Read more
it did the same thing.
Either a faulty battery or charger. Either way, from a uniden product, terrible.

Dreadful. Two of four phones dead in five months – Bought January 2020. Four phones. One dead in three months, the second dead June 2020. Have bought an 8355 and hope this is better. I will then return the 1735. Show details
Had So Much Promise, But Fails To Deliver – I had so much hope for this product. After using various Uniden products over many years the only failures we had ever had was either being chewed by the dog, or an unfortunate incident with a toilet. With this sort of brand loyalty built up over decades I didn't even consider any of the competitors - why would I, Uniden had never let me down… Read more
(unlike that damn dog).
The marketing spiel sounded like it would do the job, the specs confirmed that this was the product that we needed (with 3 separate levels we need base + 2 handsets). Setup was very easy no surprises at all, but that's where the good news ends.
- It only rings 6 times before the answering machine picks it up. I have changed the settings from 6 rings to 9 rings and also 12 rings, but still the same thing. - If I do manage to get to the phone before the answering machine picks it up, when I pick up the handset it does not connect (at least, not every-time). - There are frequent issues where the handset says 'Not Connected' - The old phone would work in the shed, this one will not - even now that the base is closer to the back yard - The audio quality doesn't seem as good as the old phones, although this is quite subjective and can't be measured
Unfortunately I can only rate this as 3 stars, and if I'm honest, one of those stars is only there for old times sake because of how good Uniden has been in the past, but not now.

Great value phone – Purchased this phone a few months ago to replace my old phone. As I rarely use my house phone, I wanted one for the added security of knowing that I have a phone in case of emergency. HOPELESS – Purchased a couple of weeks ago. Had problems since day one! Firstly, Noise on the line when trying to make or receive a call. So loud making the phone unworkable. Easy to set up and NBN friendly – These phone system is easy to set up and connect to your modem for use through the NBN. The 3 handsets have there own charging stand, this is handy to have in different parts of the house. You will never be with out a phone that isn't charged. An ok phone for the money – Bought the phone for $44.95 from JB Hi Fi. Single handset and base as we don't need or use extra handsets.
