Simple Technology & Usability – Installation & Set Up straight forward & very usable with 2 Hand Sets as well as the ability to use both Internally & External in the Garden. However, still trying to understand Special Features.

SOME PROBLEM SOLVING – Problems : The on-line flutter, flashing red light on the handsets, and the voice mail icon displaying on the handsets when there is no message. Phone 1300 366 895 for emailed instructions to fix this, and any other issues that are not clearly explained in the manual. We had to start with Optus to activate its voice mail on our landline, checked it for messages (which strangely were only our current test messages on the new system), delete them (also using *69 to be sure everything was wiped), and then had Optus immediately cancel the service. We have reinstalled the new phone according to Uniden’s email, and it has worked … no more flashing light, and the flutter and icon have gone. We cannot understand why there could have been any interference from Optus during the immediate switch over from the old system, as we have never used its voice mail service. In doing the reinstallation, phone book numbers and the recorded message were lost, plus the recording time for messages (which if it isn’t long enough won’t allow messages to record). Also, when reinstalling, put the second handset on the main base to ‘register’. Considering this hearing-boosted system would most likely be purchased by older people who might not be tech savvy, why is something that should be simple, so complicated? However, the boosted hearing and loud ring tone are worth working through the irritations. I have to give a rating above, and gave it five stars in the expectation of no more hiccups, and as good a product as the one it has replaced.
